[Video - Evening] Lights amongst the dark

[The camera clicks on, and two very different Primes appear. Solus Prime is kneeling down, examining what appears to be a large, metal container as she speaks with Liege, who watches on. A moment goes by before she gives the comm, held in unmoving acolyte hands, a glance.]

-Prima's Touch was a clever addition. It will be interesting to see if his boon will help them survive the wilds more readily- Ah, very good.

[She stands, dusting off her hands with the faintest of pleased smirks.]

In the interests of continuing our work, we have elected to make this next experimental addition for improving Cybertron a bit more...visible.

[She turns a bit somber, optics softening.]

It also happens that it has been an entire solar cycle since you all have started arriving here once more. Roughly. Perhaps that is not a cause for celebration for many of you, but it is still a significant occasion to be honored.

[She gestures to her brother, who rises the lid so she can reach into the container and pulls out...what seems to be a handful of light. In actuality, it is what appears to be little glowing robobugs. They skitter across her plating, varied in design quirks but largely resembling a cross between rotor-laden dragonflies and moths with delicate metallic wiring.]

[Liege reaches out, picking one up in-between his claws and examining it closely--it might be obvious to all who were present for it that these definitely have a relationship to Jetfire's glowbugs.]

It would be best if you left them alone to do their job. They are perfectly harmless. However, they are designed to seek out raw resources and other sources of energy, so following their glow could be quite...lucrative. Consider it something of a treasure hunt, if you will.

Among a plethora of other functions. They should also be able to give us more information about the boundaries and composition of the badlands, once they depart the Haven. Until then...perhaps some enjoyment can be found in their display.

[Solus shrugs faintly, before lifting the lid holding back the swarm and vanishes in the midst of the glowing rush of tiny wings.]

...

[For those not watching the communicators or happen to be outside...from the top of Prima's glowing tower, a different sort of light slowly emerges, and seems to balloon out. The cloud gets larger and larger, like glowing smoke, before breaking up and fanning out in all directions and lighting up the sky.

For the next week, the swarm of Pixels will flock around the Haven, highlighting various, previously unknown energon pools, crystals, and even some nice finds in the junkyard. Solus Prime will be releasing a new batch each night, adding to the swarm until they eventually depart, en mass, for parts unknown.]

[Note: Those who reply to this message with an in-character action of following the pixels will be rewarded with a small item! Be creative in specifying where and how, and see what treasure awaits...]

[Ravage was just outside, on a large rock, when he saw the post. He did pay attention to it up until he saw all the lights come out of Prima's temple. Result, his attention span went completely out the window, and he forgot what the whole point of the glowbugs was.]

Ooooo pretty!

[He continued to watch until one of the bugs got closer, and then his playful nature kicked. There was just something about an object fluttering by that mad Ravage want to chase and pounce at it. The new bugs were no exception. So off he went to chase the bug, heading in the direction of Nexus's temple. He pounced at it every now and then but it always managed to stay out of his reach.]

[The pixels swirled almost playfully out of reach, though that was more likely due to accident than design. They seemed inclined to stick near the ground where they could search properly, and led Ravage on a winding chase around any number of boulders and angular metal formations on the edges of Nexus Prime's territory.

When they abruptly settled, it was along the angular 'branches' of something almost like an earth tree made of hundreds of copper wires, sitting alone and forgotten among a circle of boulders. Be it mech-made or naturally occurring, something glistens at the end of the branches, even under the light of all the pixels coating the surface.

Will Ravage investigate?]

O Cool!

[Of course he's going to investigate. With no effort, Ravage leaps up onto one of the lower thicker branches, so that he can get a better look at what are on the ends of the branches higher up. Maybe can reach one with his paw.]

[The copper 'branches' echo weirdly when Ravage lands on them; the truck is actually thousands of thin, hollow tubes set deep in the ground, bent and worked like wire to create the sections that form the branches. And at the tapering tip of each branch, partially hidden by the pixels, are what look like teardrop-shaped glass bulbs that glow with a deep, almost-red pink.

The one Ravage manages to reach breaks off the end of the branch surprisingly readily at the touch of a paw, the bulb cracking open when it hits the ground. The bulb was hollow, but not empty; thick, concentrated energon oozes out from inside. If energon could ever be called 'sweet', this certainly smells sweet and delicious, and the pixels quickly flit down to try to get a taste.

More drips slowly down from the now exposed branch tip, and if left alone, will probably harden in the air, forming a new bulb.]

[Ravage watches as the bulb drops to the ground and breaks.]

Oops.

[But as the pixels start lapping up the engergon, he gets excited all over again.]

It like a fruit tree with energon!!!

[He reaches up again at another bulb, with both paws this time so that it won't drop. He is totally going to gather a bunch of these and share them with his friends.]
