[The camera actually switches on after being knocked over from whatever it was propped upon. You'll probably be unconsciously tilting your head at the slight angle. But then there's a huge blue orb taking up the entire screen. It draws back and it's--it's an optic? A second later, the camera shifts (dizzily) before being sat upright, and floating before it is a small mechanical device with one eye, little appendages, and... a nurse cap. Some will recognize it as a Diagnostic Drone.]

[True to its designation, it feels the device and screen up, searching for any damage. A half-minute later, and it seems satisfied. It even makes a pleased humming noise from its tiny propelling engine. And while it still does not entirely know what this strange device is, it seems to know that red button probably shouldn't be lit up. But before he can switch the feed off--]

[Ambulon's profanity would make anyone blush, and a second later he's in front of the camera, grabbing the drone with both hands. He doesn't look too good - aside from the both infuriated and slightly fearful expression, his yellow optics are pale, there are dark purple rings around his eyes where the plating has thinned out due to heat/lack of sleep, and the deep grooves in his crappy paint job look like clawing and tearing.]

[Ambulon goes to scold the drone but then-- oh, right. He gives the device one last startled look before quickly switching off the feed. You may see the drone even wave a little hand just before the screen goes black.]

[Elita smiles, briefly, and then her optics narrow.]

But Ambulon... what do you need?

[And she's walking, already.]

Really? [He looks/sounds genuinely surprised. The medidrone beeps in response, also curious.]

Ah, I... Nothing, really. I'm fine.

Are you sure about that?

[Her optics flick over what she can see of Ambulon, before she looks up to meet his optics again.]

Really. [Another slight smile as she shifts her arm around to show off what's riding along with her, sitting perched on the top of one of her back-mounted panels. The mechanical bird looks rather ridiculous, really, as it's body is much smaller than the huge wings it sports, though on the other hand it does end up looking rather impressive. It's also pink. Probably a familiar shade of it. It tilts its head at the screen, but makes no noise.]

What I found addressed to me. It can turn into a pair of wings for me.

[As in, flight-capable wings.]

[Paint (ha) Ambulon intrigued. He's not seen a bird like that before.] That-- Wings for you? Can it support your weight, given its body size? [If they were humans, that may come off as an unintentional poke at her figure. Thank God they're not.]

As for... This thing. [He looks back to the drone trying not to touch things.] I'm just hoping it will be useful soon. I guess it's just settling in, too.

[Elita chuckles, trailing a finger down the nearest blade of "feather" of a wing.]

Well, it's a medical drone and you're a medic, it ought to be, right? It's somewhat cute.

[She then glances up at the bird and shrugs.]

I haven't tested it out, but it ought to considering the wings are as large as they are, especially as there's some size changing done when it shifts into the wing mode. They get even larger then.

[There's no rockets - or rather, negible ones. This is supposed to carry her with literal mechanical motion. It's partly why she hasn't tried them out yet, she's not sure she completely trusts that they'll be able to carry her in flight.]

[Ambulon kind of--inches back at the "cute" comment.] "Cute"? I... suppose. [He looks to the drone, then back.] Must be its little hat. [And the drone touches its hat, almost bashful.]

Well, if you do test it out, make sure you do it in a controlled, safe environment. It's for the best, just in case.

I think that's it, yes. [Laughing, she gives Ambulon a little smile, both for his reaction at the word and the drone touching it's little cap.]

Would you like to be there? A medic on hand would cut down on the risk if something does happen.

[And there's no other medic she'd rather have present.]

[It's just not a word he's often heard applied to most things sob.]

And, of course. I'd love to. [Big score, Elita! He's willing to not spend his free time stewing in his pain.]

Perfect. Few others here I'd rather have with me. [She smiles, because while she certainly means it, it is also a victory.] Doing anything currently?

[F-Fffff, why is it some of the things you say make him feel all... mushy? Ambulon clears his vocalizer and shakes his head.] No. Not currently. Did you want to meet up?

Better make sure this is safe and function correctly as soon as possible, since there's no way of knowing when I need to use it, so yes, that would be good.

And, of course, it wouldn't be amiss to just meet you.

[Here, have another smile, Ambulon.]

[YOU AND YOUR DUMB SMILES, ELITA. He can't help but... smile, too. Again, it's not a very good one, and it's very tired, but at least it's not forced?] I think, to be honest, your company would be about... Well. One I'd appreciate a lot.

[What he wanted to say was your company is about the only company he can withstand right now. But that sounded too pathetic.]

[Good or not, it's a smile, and she'll take them when and where she can get them!]

One step at a time, Am. [Briefly, Elita's expression sobers before her optics brighten again.]

I'll come by as soon as I can come over, how does that sound?

[THERE'S THE NICKNAME AGAIN. And he... smirks.] I'm still getting used to the nickname. If anything, people just tend to throw the word "leg" at me when they can't remember my name or feel like being juvenile.

Sounds good. I'll be waiting. And so will this thing. [The drone waves.]

[That makes her snort around a lopsided little smile.]

If I was out after annoying you, perhaps, but that's not what I use nicknames for. [her optics flicker in something like a wink.] Grim would've been annoyed, and while he likes me, I'd rather not go too far.

[She doesn't sound particularly concerned, though.]

With Grimlock, I wouldn't either. [smirk] I guess Elita works enough? I'm not very creative when it comes to names, you see.

[nods] See you then.

Not all people are the type to use nicknames, but if you wanted to... [She pauses, pursing her lips in thought.] I suppose Lita might work.

[Not much of a difference, but hey.]

I'd hardly mind if you don't use a nickname though, Am. It's just something I like to do.

[She smiles then as well, tilting her helm with a chuckle.]

[He get in a nod before the transmission closes. And sits there for a solid minute wondering why he's feeling a little off. SCOWL.]
