I wish I could say being transported to another universe was the strangest thing that's happened to me.
Assuming these robots haven't been loaded with the wrong data, I'm supposed to believe I'm on a planet called Cybertron? Can't say I've heard of it before.
[Sigh] At least I'm... safe now. I assume these robots have some sort of defense function - God knows I could use a break.
[Despite his initial comment being fairly light hearted, Isaac is frowning.]

Anyway, the original broadcast of this video was to see whether I'm alone or not. Spending the rest of my natural life with these mechs isn't really my idea of retirement.
[The little girl in the video screen gives a pointed wave.]
So what are you safe from? Were you in a fight or something?
Re: [Video]
[He waves back a bit awkwardly, the fact Sari is so young hasn't really registered yet.]
It's, uh. Something I'm pretty sure you'd rather not know about.
...Are you ten?!
[She sounds confident at first, before her face abruptly falls.]
...Er. Maybe? Well, I could be ten? I don't know, it's been a while since I ended up here, and the time of year here was different from back home?
[She shrugs, perking back up just as fast.]
But really close to eleven!
Re: [Video]
Do you have someone to take care of you?
I'm sorry, I'm sure you do just... you're eleven and this place doesn't seem all that safe.
[Overbearing dad mode is go]
[Liar.]
The 'bots and Doctor McCoy are always checking on me, jeez. Like I said, I've been here for over a year! It's not that bad.
After all, you're safe from your mystery thing now, right?
Re: [Video]
Ok, ok. Sorry, I just... never mind.
[Eyebrow raise] You don't have to take that tone, and presumably, yeah.
[Except the mental scarring and hallucinations but YA KNOOWWW]
What? You're a stranger who just got here. The giant robots are kind of dumb when it comes to what we kids need, but they're figuring it out.
[She gives him a childish huff.]
It's kind of rough here, and sometimes dangerous, I guess, but I'm not the only kid here. You should be okay too. So long as whoever you're worried about didn't come through the portal-thing too, anyway.
Re: [Video]
[He rubs his face] I doubt they will, given what the drones told me. Although if they do I doubt they'd last long against lots of angry robots with guns.
[She laughs.]
...Oh yeah? Well that's good - we so prefer the easily stopped kind of danger.
[On one hand, stranger danger. On the other, when has that ever stopped Sari before?]
Sooo what do you do?
[...The answer? NEVER.]
Re: [Video]
[when have any rules stopped her? besides, it's not like isaac is dangerous]
I'm an engineer. Funnily enough, my specialty involves fixing robots and other such machinery.
...Do you do anything to keep yourself busy? [what could an eleven year old even do? be a tech genius?? how outlandish]
[Sari immediately perks up at his answer. She's surprised at first, before she just smirks. Oh dear.]
So how are you at wiring electricity and stuff? You can do that, right?
Because trying to figure out how to convert energon into electricity to run a two hundred and twenty volt minifridge may keep me 'busy', but it is super boring. Especially without a manual!
I'd rather be playing video games.
[Which...they don't have.
She doesn't quite have the Upgrades for tech genius quite yet, but she's certainly trying to learn the old fashioned way. Aren't you a convenient arrival, Issac?]
Re: [Video]
Of course I can; but the conversion thing is probably going to warrant a lot more time and experimentation.
[maybe one day an xbox or something will fall through the lambda. maybe one day]
Yeaaah. That was the part I couldn't really figure out.
Even the Autobots back home didn't have energon all over the place for me to-
[Get into trouble with. Cause explosions with. Etc...]
-experiment with.
[She leans toward the screen hopefully.]
Think you can figure it out?
Re: [Video]
You knew Autobots back in your own universe?
I. I can try? As long as I can get some help from a native who has a better understanding of what Energon is made up of. We could set up a little experimentation session or something!
[kids... kids like that sort of stuff, right? especially weirdly smart eleven year olds??]
