Well, slag you too.
[Blackarachnia's glaring down at a data pad in her claws. Not far away are several glass containers holding several samples of a colorless crystal. Crystals that at one point, DEFINITELY had color and no matter what test she runs, they definitely are useless now.
With a slight grumble, she sets it down and stretches, arching her back before falling back in her chair and kicking it away from her work station. For a few moments she scoots out of sight of the video and there's the sound of canisters being moved around. When she appears again, she has a pair of goggles on and a glowing, bubbling liquid in a metal canister held in a pair of tongs.
She approaches one of the containers with the crystals and sets down the one with bubbling liquid. A clear crystal gets dropped in and for a few moments, there's just fizzing before...the liquid explodes and covers everything in glowing blue slime.
Blackarachnia's eyes narrow at the now exploded canister and takes off her goggles. Someone is NOT a happy spider.
The video feed clicks off moments later.]

[He smiles dryly and holds up a colourless crystal too.]
Rather frustrating.
Re: [Video]
[She grabs a rag not covered in slime and starts to wipe it off her face and hands.]
So, did you at least get any data on the slagging crystals before they went blank?
Beyond the fact that they shared all relevant chemical makeups of energon, though yet seemed to have something extra that, I would hazard a guess, would be responsible for the changes we experienced, but I couldn't pinpoint it?
No.
[He frowns as he says it, giving a shake of his helm. Frustrating.]
Re: [Video]
Well, scrap. Which means whatever the influence they were under is somehow manufactured. I liked it better when I thought it was just a naturally occurring phenomenon.
Though [Rubbing his chin thoughtfully, Jetfire glances away as he thinks.] they could still be natural, merely with a short cycle. Of course, that no one has stumbled upon them earlier and shown results, and that they're so thoroughly depleted would argue against the natural argument.
[Unfortunately.]
Re: [Video]
[She grumbles and wipes a bit more of the gunk off of herself.]
If for some reason they are natural and not a gift from the evil scar in the sky, then the question is how long is the dormacy period? Five years? One hundred? It makes creating an antidote for them extremely hard.
[Or making poisons out of them hard. She was hoping for that option honestly.]
I don't like it when my test data comes up inconclusive.
Indeed. If the regular energon here perhaps goes through some sort of reaction... but that would, presumably require some sort of difference in the chemical make-up in the energon on this planet, a marker... something.
And I haven't found any so far, and I guess you haven't either?

[Don't mind her as she wipes away some of this gunk.]
Yeah, I'm fine. It's going to take more then that to harm me.

[He's not going to comment on it.]
I suggest you a visit to the wash-racks. It will not only help you get rid of all the blue but also relax you.
no subject
[Somewhat. At least she's not the only one dealing with this annoying turn of events.]
Oh? And would I have company in the wash-racks or am I supposed to bathe alone.
no subject
[Oh you had to said that. His optics flare bright.]
I..Iiiit's up to you, of course.
no subject
I wouldn't mind the company, so drive your aft over here blue.

That was spectacular! Do it again.
Re: video
Now who the slag are you.
[Blackarachnia regards the.. organic? She looked organic anyway.Even if she couldn't think if anything organic with hair that moved like that.]
no subject
The name's Eris, goddess of chaos and discord.
[Organics creatures probably doesn't have smoke for legs either.]
no subject
Goddess of Chaos and Discord huh? Never heard of you before.
[Her optics narrow slightly. Wonder if any of her venom would affect this particular..."goddess".]
no subject
I've never heard of Unicron before arriving here either, different dimensions and all that. I hope to meet him one day.
no subject
You're the only one.
Just do me a favor and don't make it necessary to see if a Goddess can be taken down a few pegs.
[In other words, don't cause trouble that will make her processor hurt. You won't like what she'll do to you.]

.. wait, you did remember to write that down, right?
[Trolling takes away the pain of being thisclose to figuring out the crystal patterns and then everything going back to what passes for normal.]
Re: [Voice]
[Sarcasm? Of course.]
Yes I remembered to take notes. What do you think I was doing before conducting the experiment? Playing Tetris?
[Voice]
[Snicker.]
No luck, huh?
Re: [Voice]
I don't think the word "frustrating" even begins to cover what this is.

I'm chalking it up to random acts of elder gods, personally. Makes as much sense as anything else.
