Ah... [Jetfire just rubs his lower face, says nothing about the snow or the snappy tone, and nods.] Of course.

[He is unpleasantly aware it might be one-way, and given everything, it seems kind of foolish to knowingly head towards potential death when he's already escaped it once or twice... But someone has to lend additional help, and given that he's equipped for normal space travel already...]

The schematic that you provided me shows you are already equipped for spaceflight. Do those engines require any specific fuel?

While I've had thoughts and plans about adjusting what fuel they take for maximum possible effect and minimum waste, I haven't had the time yet. [He shakes his helm and spreads his hands, palm up.]

Standard, pure energon and liquid hydrogen in tandem for now. It's what the extra tanks of my flight-array contains. Topping them up would be beneficial, but that's all.

There have been other concerns. [He understands. His own attempts at making a better communications array resulted in...Christmas. Yet science marches on.]

I'm forwarding you the modifications that I shall be performing so you can begin acquainting yourself with them. If this mission proves unsuccessful and you survive, we can begin adjusting the design.

[There hadn't been the resources or tools available to do any tinkering while on the mission, and Earth had been... a distaster. And the Keep hadn't had anything he could have used either way.]

Ah, thank you. I'll look for anything that might possibly become an issue given the modifications I've done myself... But with that, I fear only actually using it might reveal problem areas.

[Which meant that, compared to someone who didn't tinker with their own frame at the drop of a microchip, this would be more of an experiment than usual, but that's how life is, isn't it?

That won't be an issue, no. I'm quite used to delegating my attention to several tasks at once.
