[ Oh look! It's the lady in the suit. She sounds pissed. ]
Can someone tell me what the fuck is going on? Something heavy fell on my head in the medbay storage room, knocked me the hell out and I don't know how fucking long I've even been passed out under a pile of boxes.
The hell is even going on here?!

The hell is even going on here?!
Yes that works!
[ Some shuffling as she checks out the board games she found in here. ]
Candyland.
What? Oh I was moving some stuff when the boxes fell on me. My kinesis module I use to lift heavy things is on my RIG, so... yeah.
( video -> action, then! )
I'll be there soon.
[ And then the feed is cut off. The medbay, huh? Saber is really fortunate that she had picked the recreational center as her "base"; no matter where she needs to go, it's all within the same range. And since she hasn't found a mode of transportation and can't stand asking for favors, this works well for her.
In about half an hour, the knight's clear footsteps can be heard through the hallways. She's unsure where Vandal as since she mentioned she had been in the storage room, so she stands in the doorway and knocks once on the open door before stepping in farther. ]
[Action]
[ Vandal raises a hand when Saber opens the door. She's reclined on a pile of boxes she's rearranged into a sot of couch. ]
Have a seat!
no subject
Greetings, Vandal.
[ The knight makes her way over to the pile of boxes. Hesitating for a moment, she stands in an empty spot and then sits down so she's facing the other woman. ]
That.. rig? I believe you've called it, looks somewhat cumbersome. I assume it's not with how you're able to relax in it so?
no subject
[ She flexes her fingers inside the gloves. ]
Hell I could practically live in this thing.
no subject
[ Poor socially awkward Saber. Having a poor way with small talk, she immediately jumps to something she can latch onto for conversation flow.
Although she did hear "Candyland," it never really registered in her mind as she had no idea what to think it even was. ]
no subject
[ She picks up Candyland and sits it between them. ]
Never played this either but that's what we have a uh... rulebook for, right?
no subject
[ Removing her gauntlets to have full control of her hands, she places them to the side and opens the box. The knight hands the rulebook to Vandal and then begins to take out the pieces and board and place them in various spots.
..This looked complicated. ]
no subject
Roll this dice and draw cards accordingly. The point is to get to the end of the little road here.
Sounds simple enough.
no subject
[ Saber had already neatly stacked the cards appropriately and put the pieces out. ]
It is proper to roll to see who goes first?
[ She rolls the die, and a five is what is on top. Content with that (over receiving a six) she looks at the player pieces. Picking the blue piece, the knight puts it at the starting position. ]

THIS GAME IS FUCKING BULLSHIT! I CALL BULLSHIT! THIS IS THE FIFTH GODDAMN TIME I HAVE BEEN LOST IN CANDYCANE FOREST AND I'M GOING TO FUCKING PUNCH THIS KING GUY IN HIS SMUG ASSHOLE FACE WHEN I SEE HIM!
no subject
It was enough to believe this game was cursed.
Seven spaces from the end she was now, however. And that meant if she pulled a good card, she could end the torment for both of them.
Lowering her bare hand to the deck of cards, she picked up the top one. Her eyes widened for a moment as the card was dropped to the board. Landing the command side up, it displayed itself as the infamous "ten squares back" card.
No, no, no. That was ridiculous. Impossible. While Vandal was angry and had been for a while, Saber had managed to be the voice of reason and keep them going through the game. Since the knight was so close to the end, it had been the only reason both had been willing to go forward.
But, this..
no subject
[ At this point, Vandal just wants the game to be over. She's quelled her own rage in favor of marveling at just how much that sucks. ]
That really blows.
[ Well understated, Vandal. ]
no subject
With a calm expression (asides from the slight twitch in the corner of her left eye), her fingertips move beneath one of the sides of the board and then.. The board flew above both of their heads as cards floated through the air and pieces scattered to the floor audibly.
Keeping her eyes closed, her eye twitches once more as she sits there for a moment longer. ]
"Well, that was lovely. Shall we try something else?"
no subject
She rests her chin in her hands and sighs, staring at the scattered cards and pieces. ]
Yeah.
Wanna get drunk?
no subject
[ Vandal was still hurt
and Saber was madso the knight volunteered to get it. The only drinking Saber had ever done had been wines and then hard liquors such as scotch and whiskeys. ]And if you would also give me the location of some drinking glasses, that would be excellent..
[ Standing up, the knight adjusts her gown and then kicks a few cards and pieces out of the way. She will clean that up.. later. For now, the subject is a bit too sore. ]
no subject
[ Vandal reaches deftly back into her utility belt and pulls out a bottle of really shitty whiskey. I'm talking about the cheapest whiskey money can buy. ]
No glasses needed, either.
[ She unscrews the cap and takes a drink, offering over the bottle. ]
no subject
Sitting down beside Vandal tentatively, Saber sits upon her lower legs once again. It'd be rude to refuse, so she takes the bottle that Vandal held out to her. ]
Are you a regular drinker, Vandal? [ Because she knew another one of those and.. Her face screws up as she thinks of the King of Heroes, but it fits quite well since this expression is timed with the sudden gulp of whiskey she takes. And gods, is it ever wretched. The knight shudders once as she lowers the bottle and swallows it down. ]
That was delightfully terrible. [ Saber looks at the label curiously. It tasted awful, but it burned going down and the blonde can already - or she swears she can - feel the alcohol in her blood stream. ]
no subject
[ Very yes. ]
Oh yeah. That's how you know it's working. [ Vandal has no illusions about the quality of this stuff. It's what she can get. ]
no subject
[ So this, too, was likely found in the Junkpile. After looking over the torn and faded label, she hands it back to the woman beside her.
A silence settles over the two for a moment, but it's a good silence. Saber doesn't mind simply being near the woman and sharing their time together. Although they are quite like night and day, something about Vandal is very comforting. Maybe because she was so laid back compared to the knight? ]
I will be answering Megatronus' call, but I'm not so concerned. I think things will go as we plan them to. ..Frankly, I can't wait to have these centipedes leave.
[ She's had to fight way too many, already. ]
no subject
[ She accepts the bottle, taking another lng drink before passing it off again. It is admittedly nice to be around another human being every once in a while. Even if it's not someone from her time or universe. ]
You're gonna fight those things? Shit, Saber. Good luck. If you get eaten, I'm gonna be pissed.
I can't agree with you more on the whole being rid of bugs thing though. Seriously.
no subject
..Get eaten? [ She can't help but smile. Although Vandal declared her concern in a rather passive manner, Saber still appreciated it. Since arriving here, she had connected with very few. ]
I've been through worse. I can ensure you I will be quite fine.
[ The bottle is passed back. ]
You mentioned your armor was for engineers. Is that what you were before you were summoned here?
no subject
[ Vandal continues to nurse the whiksey, keeping the bottle a moment longer. ]
Well that's what Drift tells me all the time and then he goes off and gets himself killed. You sword-wieldy types are so similar it kills me, you know? I'm fine, I got this! Not to say that you're not skilled or anything, I don't doubt that you do indeed have this, but I'm just sayin'...
Don't get yourself killed or hurt.
[ She snorts, the bottle being pushed back towards Saber. ]
Oh hah, yeah. See I'm a ship engineer? I do maintenance on stuff from my own universe. I don't know if I was pulled here because of that. It's entirely unlikely actually because I'm crap at fixing Cybertronians. I mean sure, I'm learning, but I can't hold a candle to epople like Ratchet, First Aid or Ambulon.
no subject
I nay know Drift well enough to judge, however.. it seems he likes to overwhelm himself and willingly goes into situations knowing it will be a loss.
[ Saber didn't. Or rather, she didn't go into situations she felt were futile and claim otherwise. Saber knew when to fight and when to retreat. The second scenario was just quite rare.
Attempting to change the subject, she wished not argue with Vandal about that. If others had let Vandal down in one way or another, Saber would prove with time that she could be trusted in her words when she said she "would be fine." ]
Everyone who has been summoned here, at least that I know, does carry one or several useful traits or abilities. And if you are willing to learn more to adapt, then that is even better.
no subject
[ Trying to convince him to run from a fight is like hearding cats. It worries her, for obvious reasons, since he's pretty much her best friend in the entire planet, but she's learned how to deal with his risk-taking. ]
Ah well, thank you for the vote of confidence at least. I don't know. I've beena pretty big liability to these mechs but they just keep coming back. Heh.
Must be doing something right.
