[sigh] As for what happened: Pharma hired two Decepticons, Sonic and Boom, to detonate a virus that caused those who transformed to become infected with the Red Rust, presumably killing them in a short period of time. I can only assume at this point Pharma broke beneath the pressure or became tremendously desperate.
As for him killing First Aid - First Aid had been suspicious of Pharma's involvement for sometime, and confronted him. Pharma killed him to protect himself, though I'm sure he had to have known the repercussions...
