[Video] - transmission from Liege Maximo's temple
Hm... [Jetfire looks... somewhat like he feels out of his depth when the feed pops on, an expression somewhere between thoughtful and awkward.]
If you were going to give a gift to mark an occasion, would you match it to the other individual involved, or the event itself? [He shakes his helm, pausing and intending to rephrase but can't quite come up with something... This just isn't his particular area really.]
[A while after this question was asked, a second message, locked this time, gets tagged on.]
[Locked to DW!Starscream]
Come meet me on that cliff a bit outside Solus Prime's quadrant? The one that overlooks the forest.

[Locked to DW!Starscream]
Come meet me on that cliff a bit outside Solus Prime's quadrant? The one that overlooks the forest.
[locked]
You want me to... what? [Jetfire glances down into the camera, being as he's flying there - he wanted to be there before Starscream arrived - and stares for a moment. He doesn't even know what a crab is!]
... Why? And what is a crab, Starscream?
[locked]
Do we have a deal?
Also this is a crab:
[Sends a picture.]
[locked]
You're aware you're not going to be able to use this method all the time, aren't you? But all right. I'll see what I can do.
[What in the name of the Matrix is that thing...]
How large is it supposed to be?
[locked]
[locked]
With that out of the way... are you coming?
[he'd ask about the glowing purple rock he hadn't been able to find, but ah... let's take that later, if at all. It was quite obvious where it had gone.]
[locked]
It better be important.
[locked]
[He's more dryly amused and accepting than anything else, it wasn't as if they were in the middle of an intense war and about to go to a battle, after all.
He wouldn't be particularly hard to find, at least, when Starscream does come, since the metal of Cybertron is a lot darker than Jetfire's white plating.]
[locked]
[Jetfire is a giant white metal blob so no he won't be hard to find.]

[Time, which he could decide when to actually agree to give... But hopefully Starscream would get distracted from that.
Jetfire waits for Starscream to land before he comes up beside him, briefly meeting the red optics before he looks up to the view offered by the cliff.]
Someone recently reminded me it was well over a year ago that we got... er, removed from our universe and ended up at the Keep, but, ah... That's not why I wanted to meet.
[That passage of time means little, both because they can't do anything about the time passed in their own reality if it does pass, and if it doesn't pass, it's merely a waiting game until they can (hopefully) get home.]
It's been... well, little over a year since we... er. Got together.
[If that's what one could call it. They'd been close before the war as well, what this is is just... slightly different.]

[Starscream huffs and crosses his arms. If Jetfire called him out here for some sort of mushy, sentimental thing, then he was going to shoot him in the face.
Maybe.
He'd at least think about it.]
Which of those annoying humans have you been talking to about romance?
no subject
When you say it like that, I'm hardly going to tell you, you understand. And I could make it worse. [He might be smirking a little, even as he's still looking at the view and not at Starscream.]
In fact, it would have been, but I noticed you've already... ah, aquired what I was going to give you.
[Sidelong glance. Stop stealing his things.]
no subject
Which would be what? I assume it was nothing that interesting, because nothing you bring back is.
Usually.
no subject
Either way... [Now he finally turned to face Starscream again, arms folded over his chestplates and simply staring for a few moments before that slight curl became something more like a proper smile.] In spite of you, you're worth it.
[Whatever "it" now was, for any given value. Unfolding his arms again, Jetfire reached out and snagged one of Starscream's hands and raised it up to his lips, the smile turning dry.]
Of course, I seem unable to completely ignore you, no matter the situation.
[Starscream being Starscream and whatever tied them together being tangled and, by now, impossible to unknot, as the Sunstorm debacle had shown. Jetfire had quite accepted that fact.]</small
no subject
He did smile back however. Of course it probably resembled more of a smirk since Starscream was still Starscream.]
Of course not. You couldn't ignore my glorious presence even if you wanted to. And if you did want to, I would shoot you.
[Probably.]
This means ... It's been an Earth year since we were back home. What do you think is going on there now?
no subject
Clearly. Though that is hardly the way to charm someone into wanting continued company with you.
[Always with the threats of using that null ray on him, one way or another.]
More than, I believe... [Sighing, Jetfire squeezed Starscream's hand and then let go.] Frankly, despite the lack of proof for it and the improbability, I hope time hasn't passed.
Considering what Sunstorm would end up doing if he wasn't stopped, if time has passed it would likely mean most of the human population and every cybertronian might be dead, or severely injured.
[The radiation and the reaction meltdown hadn't been a small issue, after all.]
no subject
[Starscream canted his head to the side and it wasn't often that he went serious without any snark on the side. But this ...
Even if everything was gone, there were still other planets in the universe to take over ...
Of course, he always could conquer another Cybertron instead. ]
no subject
[He would rather not consider it, but not thinking it over would just be to avoid it...]
Of course... there's no proof either way, so all of this outside of our universe might be happening at an extremely accelerated rate compared to our home. [Pausing, Jetfire briefly tilts his helm to glance down at Starscream. There might be some hope about time not passing hidden in his words, but shh.]
Given that at least two separate realities have had individuals arriving at different times and not missing any of the ones who might be present here if either they or the new arrivals come from later along...
[There seemed to be, at the least, some more proof towards "time don't pass" than not. Of course, given from when he'd left, death (or... something close to it) seemed the most probable for him.]
no subject
Or it's possible that the individuals who appear to be from the same universe might be from alternates as well. Maybe getting pulled here splits off from the original timeline.
no subject
True, that might be a possibility as well, which would preserve the integrity of the first when the anomaly happened... Though I admit, the thought of not just having caused an alternate timeline when we got removed to the Keep, but also technically having become alternates of ourseves...
[There's a slight, dry twist on Jetfire's lips, kind of a smile even if it's only faintly amused. Depressing things, you say?]
Doesn't sit overly well, even if it's certainly an interesting possibility to explore if true.
no subject
[Because only Starscream would consider killing his own alternate for power.]
Or I could make it my goal to destroy every one of my alternates and become one vast singularity.
no subject
I believe the multiverse is... ah, big enough for all of you, and when we return, wouldn't we appear in the reality that would be affected by our dissappearance, not the original one?
[Keep your ambitions slightly realistic why don't you? Shaking his helm, Jetfire stepped sideways and up behind Starscream and slipped an arm around his waist.]
no subject
If there is a reality left ... considering our "disappearance."
[You know with Sunstorm blowing up and all.]
And no, it's not. There should only be one of me. Ever.
no subject
[Sighing, Jetfire rests his chin on top of the nearest shoulder vent (handy), thumb slowly trailing over amber glass.]
And there is only one of you, as the others are variations, and not, exactly you.
[Though, that gave the question of what reality had been the 'first' one, if such a thing was possible, and which of any of them, long gone or not, was... the first iteration?]
