[What a surprise: Sentinel’s angry. The acolytes are pottering around in the background of the video, having been shouted at and told to frag off. Clearly, any information they had to offer had fallen on, ah, deaf audios.]

Ugh, is there anyone around here who isn’t a useless maintenance drone? These things are swarming all over the place and I haven’t been able to get a straight answer out of any of them!

I’m a Prime; we’re supposed to get better treatment than this!

[He scowls into the camera.]

Anyway, any Autobots in the immediate vicinity report directly to me. I want to know what’s going on and, uh, where I am.

[This is about as polite as you’re going to get from him.]

Cross between realities... people who speak of bots like that in my universe are considered to have a screw loose.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it's magic.

Even one is one too many. [Cliffjumper huffs and then just shakes his helm; he knows it sounds crazy, so he not going to be offended, but it's annoying still.]

Yeah, yeah, think what you want, but it's hard to not believe it when it happens right in front of ya. Don't think the glyphs are magic, though.

[Yeah, he's seen a deity of apocalyptic endings and knows Primus exists, but magic is still kind of hard.]

[He grins and nods, someone who hates the same things he does! Awesome!]

The most incredible thing I've seen since I got here was how quickly those drones left the room when I politely told them to leave. [Another faint smile. He thinks he's hilarious.

Sorry kids! This guy's too arrogant to actually fully believe what you're saying until he sees it for himself! And then demand why you didn't tell him.]

[Cliffjumper's optics narrow a bit at that and he snorts, but he can't decide whether to be incredulous or maybe amused.]

Uh-huh. They're just drones, so it ain't their fault if someone doesn't want to listen, right?

Right? We have maintenance drones back home that sometimes get glitches in their timekeeping systems and try to do their jobs with loads of bots around. Never ends well!

[Not that he's slipped on a patch of floor that was being cleaned by one. No. Not at all.]

... If ya say so. We never had many drones around, really. Don't see why it matters though, as long as the job gets done.

Our base - Fortress Maximus - was required to be kept in peak condition for ... special operational reasons.

Plus I really hate it when someone tracks dirt into my office. Like, really? Was your protoform built on an energon farm?

[Sentinel, no, no. Cliffjumper just shakes his helm, snorting, but then gets distracted by the mention of Fortress Maximus.]

That ain't a mech in your reality?

[If that's true, the idea's utterly strange to Cliffjumper.]

[Cliffjumper shrugs, drumming his fingers against his arm briefly.]

I'm not surprised in the least that the mech version of him is huge. Armed to the diodes as well, I'd imagine.

Pretty much. Least the one that's here, the Fortress from my universe was just armoured 'cause he had to. Not much for combat.

[He can't quite keep the sneer out of his voice; he doesn't really have anything against Maximus, but in their situation? You gotta take up arms and use them.]

Had to? [His antennae beep, noting his sudden realisation of why.]

Oh, right. The war. Jeez, I'm staring to think my reality is the only one where it's ended.

Think there's a few where it did, and I know one, at least, where it never started.

[Then Cliffjumper grimaces, optics darkening with his scowl - he might have been pleased to get to kick Decepticon aft again, but realistically he knew it would have been better if there'd been none left or they hadn't started up again.]

It did kinda end in ours, after the battle against Unicron. Megatron was gone as far as anyone knew, an' Bludgeon had taken what Decepticons were left and gone to hide... 'course it didn't end like that.

Megatron came back a... few years ago, so I went with Prime to help kick his aft.

[he actually has to pause and consider the time, minus all the time he's spent in Axiom, here and in the inverse reality. Time passed for Cliffjumper has gotten kind of... complicated.]

That's ... awfully convoluted.

Think that's what happens when someone just don't know when to fraggin' quit.

[But then, it was a mess of Megatron having started the war because they were "too peaceful" and, by now, probably heaps and piles of personal affront and obsession with seing the Autobots, and especially Optimus, beaten.]

Sorry for keepin' ya with that, though. [Cliffjumper's smile is slightly lopsided, but there.] I guess you might want to have a look around the place?

It's the exact same in my universe. Straxus, Strika, Cyclonus. You name a Decepticon, they're probably on the Elite Guard's most wanted list for attacking Autobot colonies.

[He blinks. Didn't expect that.] Huh? Oh. I don't have much else to do, so that's the plan.

There's a lot to see, though if ya go lookin' around the temple, watch your step; we're in the middle of a gorge.

[Then he grimaces, frowning.]

I'll never fraggin' get it, why they do it.

[Great. This place is a hell hole for someone as paranoid as Sentinel! Anyway, he's still got a lot of the temple to explore after having basically sat down in the room he woke up in and spent ages shouting at the people who answered his original broadcast.]

I doubt the temple will have crevices dotted around.

[He frowns.] Why they do it? They're Decepticons, from the moment they're brought online, all they're exposed to is Megatron's propaganda. It's a vicious circle, where all they know is hatred for Autobots because they believe Cybertron is their right.

Not to mention Megatron would never be magnanimous in defeat.

[He shakes his head. Viewing the Decepticons with such contempt is what he's used to, ironically - it's the same for Autobots in his universe, taught to hate and fear the 'Cons.]

[Of course, Sentinel is being highly hypocritical here, as he's made a deal with Lockdown, under the guise that what he was doing was for the good of Cybertron.]

... Wait, wasn't the war over ages ago in your reality? Why're there's still 'Cons around, then, and how'd they even get more of 'em?

[Of course, it might be similar to the situation in his universe, but from what little he knows from what Blurr's said it didn't seem that close.]

It ended with the Decepticons getting exiled and imprisoned. A genocide isn't really ... in accordance with the Autobot way.

The ones that are popping up now that weren't already on record, I assume were the ones that went into hiding before the war ended.

Either way, it's fragging annoying.

That'd go without sayin'. [Cliffjumper mutters, waving a hand in the air and reminded of Rumble's execution in the inverse reality.] Just sounded like they'd all be... I dunno, offline, integrated, or whatever.

[Not that he'd be particularly happy with the latter, but if the Decepticons in his reality ever agreed to that, he could see it happen.]

Sounds like annoyin' would be the least of it.

Integrated? [Oh no, bad memories of long-ass council meetings discussing what to do with the imprisoned Decepticons and Autobots in the Stockade, and being reprimanded by Ultra Magnus for falling asleep during said council hearing.]

I think the idea was thrown around a bit after the war ended, but got lost in a mess of red tape. For the best, really. Give them as many rehabilitation chances as you want, they're Decepticons at spark and they always will be. Plus I wasn't even online when they were discussing the possibility so I don't know exactly what happened.

So they rot in prison. What a loss for everyone. [Pft.]
