[Video] [Transmission from: Vectorian Temple] - Seventh Offense | Post Ultimate Showdown

[Barricade is looking... slightly more tired than usual when he starts up the video. He'd been helping to fix the injured as they came in and - when that was done - drove all the way to Vector's quadrant and harassed the Acolytes about where a certain speedster was located. He exvents slowly before he finally speaks.]

Did what I could in the medbay for the injured. If anyone involved in the operation is listening... good work. You did our little society proud.

Now. If anyone needs me, I'll be in Vector's temple.
Someone ought to be here when Blurr wakes up.

[Besides, someone had to put the pieces of him back together. Why not him?]

And who says you get to be that 'someone'?

[Have Cliffjumper scowling at you Barricade, and while he's not there yet, it's quite obvious you're not going to be alone in that altar room for long. Because what the frag is a Decepticon (no matter what Barricade might insist) doing with his friend!?]

I figured he'd prefer it to be friends, of which I am one.

[He flares his plating a little. He's not going to get into a fight with Cliffjumper over this - there's been enough fighting as far as he's concerned - but he can certainly fluff up like an angry cat for intimidation purposes. Not that he'd object to the extra company, himself.]

Oh, yeah? Like slag!

[Cliffjumper can't do that flaring thing, really - oh, sure, various armour plates can move just a shade, loosening slightly, but... well. Not very far, and certainly not the same way Barricade can. Or to the same effect.]

Like I'm supposed to believe that, 'Con! Blurr ain't stupid.

[Cliffjumper snarls, angrily stabbing the screen. He might not be able to flare his plating, but until he gets into the altar room, he can do... or attempt to do intimidating by his usual gestures.]

Ex-'Con. I had enough of mistreatment by them and struck out on my own.

[He reaches up to flick one of his pauldrons, where the insignias are still gouged out.]

And if you don't believe me, check the Link yourself. There's plenty of evidence on their of he and I associating with each other.

[Including that one time they set up an actual date with each other, because all of that flirting had to amount to something eventually. And because... well. Barricade felt comfortable with 'dating' Blurr.]

[Blitzwing wasn't entirely certain of all that had transpired, but Barricade's expression is certainly intriguing.

When Blitzwing speaks, there's a tinge of concern trying to be suppressed under his casual, quiet question.]

You certainly sound like you've been busy.

[For Blitzwing? Barricade can manage a smile. It's slight, but it's there.]

Well. When you're a medic and an arrest hospitalizes a decent number of cops, Wreckers, and other participants...

Lucky for them that I don't mind being kept busy, but I could use a breather after this.

[Though watching over his friend's body is not exactly the breather he had envisioned. Still, he tries to let his tone convey that he's okay, just emotionally exhausted. No reason to worry.]

Mm. I can imagine how much time zhat consumes.

[He pauses.]

If zhere's anyzhing you require assistance with, I could offer a servo.

Uh-huh. [CLiffjumper's faceplates sort of twitches, and the noise - something between a hiss and an engine-rev underscored rumble, is echoed over the link and by audios both, as by this time, Cliffjumper's stomped into the altar room.]

I don't know what the fraggin' slag ya did, if you're speakin' the truth, but you can't trick me!

[Have a stabby finger pointed at your back (or your front) Barricade, as Cliffjumper storms across the floor. Compared to other people in the fight, he just has a few dings and scratches, which he hasn't taken care of yet.]

[Oh, there you are. Pointing at him accusingly. Barricade tilts his head and looks Cliffjumper over, decidedly neutral in his expression and posture.]

You should get those looked at.

[He doesn't see a reason to justify himself to Cliffjumper, and if the other mech won't check the Link he's not going to bother. There's enough there to prove himself. Considering that, he'd rather just derail the conversation entirely. And what better way to do that than to go medic on Cliffjumper?]

Different extents of injuries on mech of different base body types from different dimensions that have their own quirks. One wonders how medics here do it, sometimes.

[He hesitates himself for a moment, thinking the offer over.]

Well. I wouldn't mind some friendly company. Particularly if they managed to secure some highgrade.

[Barricade won't say it, but he doesn't do particularly well alone. Especially in circumstances like this.]

Indeed. It must be fascinating.

[It's not very often someone says "Hey Blitzwing, let's hang out". Actually... no one ever says that. And probably for good reason. Which is probably why he hesitates for a second before nodding.]

Very well. Vector's temple, zhen?

[To be fair, Barricade is more than used to a wide array of personalities with varying amounts of volatility, all of whom tended to be in his vicinity at the same time. Blitzwing is practically like home to him.]

Exactly that one. The altar room where new arrivals usually wake up.

[Blitzwing nods, and hangs up.

It doesn't take too long to get there, although he has to wonder about the reason for Barricade to be camping out in an altar room... Well, he supposes, he'll find out when he gets there.

As he lands and approaches, he pulls a few cubes of highgrade out of his cockpit and hands one out to Barricade.]

I believe you mentioned a need for zhis.

[The reason should be obvious when Blitzwing arrives, Blurr's body (or the pieces of it, rather) being on said altar. Barricade is in significantly better shape than the Autobot, his plating relaxing and settling in its housings at the other mech's arrival... and the appearance of the cubes.

He offers another small smile as he takes the cubes, speaking quietly.]

My hero. I owe you one for this.

[Blackarachnia frowned slightly. She was aware there had been injured from the recent little arrest. Just not who or how bad. ]

What happened to Blurr?

Well. It seems he was shot and then torn apart and chewed on.

[Barricade's tone is the sort that someone gives reports in. Makes things more palatable for him to deal with, if nothing else.]

I'm going to stay with his body until he gets back to it.

[There's nothing but neutrality on her features as she listens. Blackarachnia... is definitely not thrilled to hear this.]

Any idea who?

Kaon and Tarn; I didn't hear any more than that. They're in custody now.

[He doesn't know Kaon... but he knows Tarn. Barricade is secretly, quietly cross at him for all of this.]

[Blackarachnia's not thrilled to hear those names either. Wonderful and with the police involved, she can't strike back like she normally would. Otherwise someone might find themselves on the bad side of a black widow.]

At least they're in custody then.

Can you let me know when Blurr comes back, or should I come down there and wait with everyone.

[At most, Rose got bruised during the whole thing, which made her fill a bit guilty since there where casualties. She was particular sadden when she heard about Blurr, but she tries not to let that show.]

It is good to know that he will not be alone.

They are. Heavens only know what happens from here.

[Barricade wouldn't strike back without having a chat with them first... and he doubts that Tarn's vocals were left in for them to have one. This whole thing turned out all sort of bad.]

I'll comm you when he wakes up, if he doesn't comm himself. If I didn't we'd have to cram the whole Haven in here, probably.

[Barricade hadn't even been there. He knew he'd be more useful in a medical capacity, and... well. He's slightly fond of Tarn whether anyone knows it or not.]

He won't be. Can't imagine how awful that would be, coming back from the dead alone.

[He might check it out later, but presently he's needed right here, attention on the Decepticon in the room with Blurr's... corpse.]

They--- [Cliffjumper twitches, field flickering outwards as he straightens up and crosses his arms - not so much intimidating as he might have intended as sort of attempting to cover himself.] They're nothin'! Just scratches, and what's it even to you!

[Glaring, he almost pulls a gun out, but manages - barely - not to, and instead carefully stomps around the room to end up on the other side of the altar, giving Barricade a wide berth in the process.]

[Cliffjumper is pretty much how Barricade remembers him... so to speak. It doesn't really bother him too much, all told. The accusing and acting like he's going to desecrate Blurr's corpse if left alone, though...

He waves a hand at himself.]

Medic. That's why I was in the Medbay before coming here, and if you think I'm lying about that there are plenty of other medics that will vouch for me.

[He watches Cliffjumper stomp around to the opposite side of the altar... with only a single vertical pair of optics. Enjoy that, CJ.]

[Cliffjumper is Cliffjumper, and at least it means Barricade has some idea what to expect and how to deal with him?]

... Even if that's true, which, fine. Doesn't mean they need banged out, this is hardly anythin'. Not worth it.

[Cliffjumper huffs, and once he's on "his" side of the altar, crosses his arms again and gives Barricade a narrow stare. Nevermind if someone's already told him he should get them fixed; they're not really much compared to the injures other people got.]

... And don't do that.

[He grimaces as he realises that Barricade only followed him with two of his four optics, and on the same side as well. Creepy.]
