Gathering

[This is a post. Within this post exist Prima, Liege, and A3. They exist here for the purposes of wrapping up previous conversations/plots or starting new ones. They will exist here for about a week, and all conversations that occur therin will be considered to have taken place PRIOR to the Pillar Event.

Alpha Trion can be found anywhere around his temple, or alternatively can sometimes be caught exploring the wastelands outside of the Haven. He's just as likely to get hold of you randomly one day while testing out the link device, however.

Prima can be found only in his tower. He's much more difficult to get hold of, but will surface for urgent matters and can be contacted through the Link...even if he'll be slow to reply.

Liege Maximo can be found in his many labs. He's been in a mood lately, but most would call it a 'good' mood, which means he's looking for people to interact with. Or on. If he's been in contact with you before he'll seek you out either in person or through an encrypted channel on your link device. Otherwise you will likely have to run into him.

To have a conversation with any of them, just specify WHO and WHERE or LINK in the title of your reply. Any action will be actionspam~]

[Prowl does consider it for a moment, it isn't that difficult to see the advantages of strengthening his ties with the refugees. More pawns to include in this game. And he's fairly certain this connection with the glyph has benefits both ways.]

[Neither role he particularly enjoys, but he doesn't bring it up.]

Releasing Tarn is a tall order, Liege.

Even if I wanted to release him, I'd most likely be removed from my position unless an escape was staged.

[And getting the others to agree would be out of the question.]

I shall.

Thank you for the offer, Ventus.

[Prima is quiet for a long moment at that question, merely watching the sky.]

The badlands...

...

They are the Lambda's mark on this world. Since it remains in orbit the most that it can do is eject debris. No matter how much the Lambda might call to you...you would not be able to reach it.

Therefore, it is my belief that something was once expelled from the Lambda which was able to take root on Cybertron itself. This...thing...remains here to do the work of the chaos-bringer. It will try to tempt you, and it will try to make you into an agent of chaos.

Those who go to the badlands seldom return.

[The tunnel is narrow, but it is not long...and after a few minutes of walking it lets out into an open room.

The room is difficult to forget. It's round, seemingly, with hexagonal facets, and it glows. The very walls glow, and their color is extremely similar to the way in which Prima glows. It would be immediately obvious that whatever light is emanating from these walls is connected to Prima...

And also to your glyph, which glows brighter once you enter the room. It feels...nice, here.]

[Prima stops in the center of the open floor, and gestures towards one corner of the room. There, the light is disrupted, and there are smaller spheres which are adhering to the wall like a virus. They move slowly, absorbing the light.

You would also notice almost immediately that they seem to be calling you closer.]

These appeared a few days ago. I cannot imagine why they are here or what they signify, but I have an idea.

Tell me, Hot Rod...do these seem familiar to you?

[If anything, the way they call is similar to the call of the badlands.]

You should not want to release him.

[That, he agrees with.]

I did not want him released, when he belonged to my brother...but I have since come to believe that there may be a way to work his freedom to my advantage.

To your advantage, as well.

I can arrange for his escape...and together, we can arrange for his cooperation. Surely you know what your partner Chromedome is capable of?

Did you also know that it might be within my power to enhance that? I could make him more efficient...

...and there is much that I could grant to you, as well.

Agreed. Which makes me wonder...where did you learn the skills that you possess?

[The vent does seem safe, as there is nowhere that anyone could be observing you which you would not be able to see yourself. However, Liege is still speaking with you over the link...and you still can't see him.]

I do not need to watch them. I am already aware of their movements. They are my Acolytes, after all.

[One of them breaks out of the shadows, looking up to where Arcee used to be.]

They do have their purpose. I can tell that you'd rather not be observed, however...

[The Acolyte moves away.]

So I am curious. Is there something that you are trying to hide, or are you just not sure what you would do if you were in the open?

[The pillar of Liege stirs slightly, seemingly surprised that it was recognized where it was.]

Rose...

[His green optics trace downward until they settle on her. Noticing the bow, he nods his head in return.]

You are ever perceptive.

[It was one of the reasons he believed that she belonged with him. One of a few.]

Eaten. You might be onto something there, A3. Definitely going to rework that one i-

[He stops dead, head slowly craning up (way up) to the FirstForge,, gently taking the datapad offered to him.]

You want...me to finish it?

[Sorry, are you insinuating what he thinks you're insinuating?]

Frenzy?

The thought had not occurred to me...but I can't say I'm not amused by it. He could use something to distract him.

[Especially if he could word it to sound like it would be an advantage to the small bot.]

I am always interested in the results of your keen intellect at work...especially as they often prove advantageous to us both. What have you learned?

[personal profile] maxicpolarity 2013-11-23 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
It is your good buddy, Frenzy.

[The acolyte repeats dutifully back into the room.]

AH. The one who I need to invite to take a bath with me. Tell him to come in, but advise him to stay close to the doorway...this poison is quite intense.

[The acolyte looks down.]

You may enter. Do not enter more than ten feet in, however.

[She stands aside, and there, in the room, working on what can only be the carcass of one of the creatures brought back from the badlands...is Liege.]

What questions did you have for me today?

[Actually, that description fits someone else entirely.]

...

What are you trying to get at here? Rewind has my best interest at spark.
maxicpolarity: (Default)

[personal profile] maxicpolarity 2013-11-23 09:36 pm (UTC)(link)
I am sure that he does.

However, he may not have everyone else's best interests at spark. It is clear that he cares for you, and that you care for him...which may put him too close to the issue.

There might be others too close to the issue, as well. [Prowl.]

It sounds as if you may need someone utterly unbiased...

...or that perhaps the decision should be left to you, and only you.

May I ask how it is that your talents have hurt the mech that you care about?

[Clearly, Liege is unbiased and wishes to help.]

[personal profile] needlefingers 2013-11-23 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Tarn went after him, and I don't doubt it was because of my involvement with him.

[He's not sure if he believes you Liege.]

I don't care what either you or Prowl says, there's no way getting my needles back would be a good thing.

[personal profile] maxicpolarity 2013-11-23 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ah, Chromedome is clever. Liege...can't really say he minds, though, because having clever people with his glyph is his favorite thing.]

[Very well. Time to drop the sympathetic act.]

I can make it so that Rewind does not know.

I can also make it so that your skills will prevent Tarn from hurting anyone ever again.

I can also help keep your mind safe and in control...so that others would be less likely to take advantage of it.

[ Arcee's face twists slightly in a scowl. She's not quite sure how to take that question, if just because she was a far different mech before Jhiaxus ever got his hands on her. Fury, pain, and bloodlust had helped hone her skills, but there was always that nagging possibility-- what else had that monster done?

She settles as the conversation continues, realizing just who the speaker was. Prowl had... spoken highly of Leige, though that was not the cause for her comfort. It was more the fact she was aware she could settle into her routine again-- it wouldn't have mattered where she moved. ]

Leige Maximo. That didn't answer my question. I don't care if you need to, as if in my position. Why, theoretically, would you watch a drone?

[ Her optics settle on the acolytes again, noting that one had spotted her previous resting spot. ]

Everyone has things to hide, though mine are far less personal and you know it. It works out best for me if I'm just Prowl's dirty little secret.

[ There's some truth though, that she wouldn't really know what to do if her presence was more obvious. ]

One would theoretically watch a drone--or anyone--to learn its patterns. To know it. To understand it, and how it might react in any given situation. To protect it. To harm it.

To have control over it that it is not aware of.

[Or, if one were simply bored...to provide entertainment.]

By working with Prowl, then, you have a sense of purpose? A task to do at any given time?

Is...that what you want?
needlefingers: (pic#6530980)

[personal profile] needlefingers 2013-11-23 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
...

[Chromedome is stunned into silence. All of that is everything he could want, especially as a mnemosurgeon. He's no fool though, and he knows that good things don't come for free.]

What... What would you even get out of this? Why offer that to me?

Can you really do that?
flashdrive: (What are you saying?)

[personal profile] flashdrive 2013-11-23 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Way more than willing! Consider me already signed up. I mean, I'm not some Super Space Tank like the rest of the guys out here, so finding something to do is kind of...selective.

[And he watches, visor almost widening in amazement as Trion compresses that telescope down. He was really going to let him use it? Was he dreaming?]

So...it's official then? All that about the personal library too?
maxicpolarity: (Default)

[personal profile] maxicpolarity 2013-11-23 10:08 pm (UTC)(link)
What do I get out of this?

[He sounds positively shocked that you would ask.]

I can see no reason in allowing Tarn--or anyone--to roam free wantonly killing or torturing who he wants. That is chaos.

The more chaos that is sowed within the Haven, the stronger the Badlands, the Lambda, and Unicron himself become. Do you see?

We need control in order to keep everyone safe. We need control to keep refugees from loosing their minds, from wandering to the badlands, or from succumbing to the will of the chaos bringer.

We cannot simply kill these elements, because he will just send more.

We need to work with them. We need to keep order.

You, Chromedome....you are the only one who can do this.

If we lose your ability, we may lose much, much more.

[Serious Liege is serious. Or...at least he sounds that way.]
