Guys, I'm glad you're making friends with the critters but we have another problem. I'm detecting radiation levels in Haven that weren't here before that boom, and the level's rising. I'm not sure how long we have because this stuff is refusing my attempts to match it to normal emissions types, but... In case you're from a place that doesn't have that sort of thing, it's not something you want to be out in if you happen to be squishy and biological.. or a mech for that matter.

I'm going to try and find somewhere radiation proof where the really vulnerable can sit this out, but I might be a while.

In other news, the perimeter is working just peachy as you can see. I'm still getting incoming bogie contacts.

I think they're getting bigger.

Why are able to stand higher radiation levels compared to organics but only to a point.

Lead stops radiation, right? There might be some on the planet, we could build something quick with it for the organics to stay safe.

I think? The pressure and power sensors were crap to start with and this radiation's scrambling a few of them already. Not.. not like growing. But there's bigger stuff coming in for sure.

The junk pile ought to have lead of some kind. It's got a lowish melting point, but you do need a lot after a while. Enough stone could do it too, I'm pretty sure, but you're looking at walls several feet thick.

Well, if my sensors aren't utter crap and this goes at the rate it's looking like.. some of those things will get big enough to start bothering you big guys pretty soon.

Both, maybe. The radiation levels are correlating somewhat with the extra matter coming in on the sensors.

I'm safe and sound unless things suddenly get really special.
