[Ut-oh, looks like Deckard's got his "Leader of the Brave Police" hat on today, if his grim expression is anything to go by. To say nothing of his tone of voice.]

Good afternoon. This is Deckard of the Haven Police. As I’m sure everyone is aware by now, we seem to have another Unicron-induced invasion taking place. There have been sightings of what I can only describe as zombies, plus some pretty grotesque animals, either bio-experiments or possibly the results of radiation mutations. I've never heard of victims of severe mutations like we're starting to see surviving birth before, but I'd never heard of a lot of things before coming here, so I'm not going to rule it out. Especially in light of the rising ambient radiation levels throughout Haven.

Those without shielding, I must ask that you remain inside, as deep into the Temples as you can. Those who can weather the radiation, we need to find the source and a way to neutralize it as soon as possible. I'd like to ask all those with aerial capability to contact me. If we coordinate flight patterns, we can cover more ground in less time with little wasted in overlapping efforts. Those on ground patrol, if you decide to go out, I strongly suggest you do so only in pairs or more. We don't know what these creatures are capable of, but I can tell you from past experience that you could be in for a wide variety of really nasty surprises.

Also, keep your eyes up. There's been at least one instance of an attack by a flying adversary. I'm sure many of you saw Thundercracker's video. I just spoke to him a little more about it, and he described a seemingly sentient, floating fireball that was able to turn into essentially a column of flames. Shooting the core destroyed whatever it was, so we know that firearms are effective.

If anyone has any additional information at all on what's going on, please share it. Thank you all in advance for your help.

I went out to the junkpile to investigate. This monsters seems to appear all around at random but most come from the badland, which is not new.

As soon as I realized how much the radiation levels were increased I've moved the food from the pantry to the different temples. If the organics have to stay there we need to make sure they don't die of poison or starvation.

All of this "radiation" and "mutant" and science talk is way over my head, but... I might be able to help, sort of.

Remember when I healed Garrod? I found out it works on robots when KO was injured. I don't know if it's safe for me to go outside --human and all-- but I might be able to help those who can make it back inside.

[It isn't much, and she needs to let everyone know, but it seems like a good idea to tell someone she believes she can trust -someone in a position of leadership- before the rest of the city.]

You know, while I appreciate having to brief people based on the new threats, that was an awfully long way of saying "shoot it until it stops moving and don't bother showing up if you're a useless organic."

Short answer is that radiation is a kind of energy that can make you very, very sick, and fairly quickly. It's not something you can see or feel directly, but you'll feel the effects on your body. Something that is mutant is changed from the normal. It's twisted and misshapen, turned into a monster. Here, I'll send you some of the visuals we've had come in from others. I'll warn you, though . . . they're scary and upsetting . . . but they're out there, so you deserve to know.

[And he'll send her a few image files. They're on her screen, she just has to touch them to make them bigger to see better.]

These are some of the dogs out there, this is a pig – I think – and these are . . . well, they're a special kind of mutant human, an undead monster called a zombie.

As for your healing gift . . . thank you, Miss Rapunzel. I'm hoping it won't be needed, but I can see your ability potentially being invaluable. Where are you? It might be good for you to move over to the Medbay if you can.

I'm planning on making an announcement to tell the organics to stay either in Liege or Megatronus's temples. And to ask for volunteers among the Police force officers to check the Badlands with me. We need fliers.

[She listens actively, carefully, investing herself in the information given. Unfortunately, she closes the images almost as quickly as she opens them, not wanting to dwell on the gruesome details for longer than she has to. However, by the time she sees them and he finishes, there's a slight softening in her visage, an ease which means she at least has an increased understanding of the situation at hand. Despite her still stuck having to akin the happenings with magic (the sort of thing where logic goes straight out the window and anything's possible), what she'll be walking away with is infinitely better than nothing.]

[As far as she knows, they're big and strong and the only real threat she's seen posed to them is one another.]

Short of being overwhelmed by sheer numbers, yes, I believe we'll be fine. Individually, they seem to go down without much trouble.

Good. Call Knock Out if you need help getting to the medbay. I’m sure he'll be willing to come pick you up. Also, Blurr says that he's moved some of the foodstores from the Pantry at the Hub to the various temples. You might ask him where the storage is at Solus's. If it's not already in the Medbay too, you could help move it there.

[On the one hand, yes, it could be taken as busywork, but it's important, and it will give her another way to help and keep active.]

Honestly . . . I don't know. It's something we never had to face back home, and if our bodies were tested for it, it was before we were brought online. I'm not worried about it, however. I won't ask any of the others to risk themselves, but for myself, I'll keep working until I can't operate anymore, should it come to that. I can always be rebuilt later, so I might as well do everything I can in the meantime.

In that case, I would like you to stay in the Haven and coordinate everyone while I am gone. I don't want to put anybody in unnecessary danger. Your life worths more than that, Deckard.

[Sorry, bro, you just inadvertently kinda hit him in a sore spot. He's a Brave Police...which by definition means his life is NOT worth as much as others'. He's had that drilled into him from Day One . . . and especially with the incident he and his team only barely survived right before he came here, so he's never properly "dealt" with that experience.]

[Deckard sees the droop. He remembers when Kagerou and Blurr had realized he wasn't the one from before too, and how disappointed he'd been. He feels bad.]

I'm sorry, Wing. I know I can't replace a friendship that was already there, with the memories you two built together, but if I can be a poor substitute, I'd be honored to get to know you too.

[He smiles, because the sentiment gives him hope.]

If you are everything like your alternate, I doubt you could ever be a poor substitute. And though the old memories are dear to me, I can't imagine the new ones will not be as well.
