[So, remember that neat police headquarter building that went up recently?]

[Well, you're getting a delightful view of its roof from above, as the ninjabot makes his landing on said roof. A roof which has sprouted a new addition in the last, quiet, few days. And it kind of... looks like a nest, for lack of a better word.]

[Granted, it's a nest made out of bits of scrap metal and whatever else he managed to find in the junk pile recently. But there's a shelter over one end, and, as he steps nearer to it, the interior of the bowl-shaped construction has... a definite color scheme. Purple and green bits and pieces stuck to the walls.]

[Meanwhile, Kagerou just. Steps in. As if this were the most normal thing ever.]

Since we're discussing the disappearances... [He thought posting his location would be smart.] If I'm needed, I will be staying up here from now on.

It shouldn't be difficult to find.

[He nods a little.] If you want.

I'm glad you will be close by, and able to be found easily if people need to.

[He certainly isn't trying to chase you away.]

I was asked to stay here. And up on the roof, I'm out of the way.

[No, Drill Boy isn't the one who makes him uncomfortable.]

I... no, I'm all right. I don't need anything.

You know you can come inside if you need to though, right?

[He steps outside and changes into his jet mode.]

I'll be right up.

... I should stay here. It's better.

[He'll be up there. Waiting. And not explaining why it was better.]

[He doesn't bother with the comm, instead flying up quickly and changing back to his robot mode to land on the roof.]

If it's what you want, then I'm not saying don't, just letting you know you can come inside.

[He's just sort of crouched in his hideout, watching him approach. It looks exactly like what it did on the video -- a big metal nest for a big metal bird.]

I will consider it.

[That he would consider it was good enough for the sporty detective. He comes closer and plops himself down just outside the nest.]

Neat idea! What made you pick this design?

I don't know.

It just seemed... it just seemed right.

[He smiles at Kagerou, accepting the ninja's answer without another thought.]

You were able to pick out some really good pieces of color to put in here, I like it.

[He just shrugs, and looks back.]

I like these colors. I... always have, I think.

[Drill Boy thinks he knows why Kagerou likes them, considering he knows the other BP is such close friends with Shadowmaru, but he doesn't judge the idea.]

They look really good together.

[And he means it, they do. He keeps hoping that his positive words and support will help the ninja style robot feel confident.]

[He doesn't quite smile. But the corners of his mouth twitch.]

Almost... as if they were meant to be together.

I think so.

It's nice up here, good view.

... It's quiet, as well. Far out of the way.

It's really nice to have somewhere quiet to go.

Especially when there are noisy ones down there.

Yeah, I would go out and play soccer alone when they got too noisy back home.

[He could understand needing room from someone who is always picking on you, after all, despite their ability to work together, he and Power Joe had a very odd relationship to one another.]

You don't seem to be the type to mind a lot of noise.

[Not that it's a bad thing -- someone has to like things like that, after all.]

Sometimes it isn't about how much noise, but who is making it, and what about. I don't like sticking around when I've gotten yelled at for doing something they all consider childish.

[They all have something they dislike, as much as they all had things they like.]

[He shakes his head slightly.]

I wonder what it is that makes me, then.

I don't think so, I mean I like to have fun but I wouldn't say that I'm childish, but sometimes the others see it like that.

It doesn't make you anything, you are Kagerou. We are all at different points in learning about being alive, so it makes sense that we don't really compare to each other.

So then... what do you do? To tell them they're wrong?

I was created before you. Before... most of you here. And yet I know the least.

Well I tried to tell them I wasn't being childish before, but they seemed to think they just had to tell me I was more. So instead I go out and play soccer, it helps me feel better.

But you had different circumstances, right? We all grow differently depending on what things happen around us.
