[Video] - failed lock, but scrambled coordinates
[The feed comes on sort of lopsided... Which is because Jetfire is listing slightly.]
Starscream, it took way more than one cube like you hypothised, to get to... to this level of overcharged. As it... should, so I want to know what you did. Even if this doesn't... seem... quite the same...
[He waves a hand... which holds a cube, so he nearly spills. He'd really intended to go find Starscream, but he wasn't stupid, he recognized that he was a bit... too overcharged for that at the moment.]
Of course it also took less than the amount it would since I have... upgraded my fuel processsing systems, but coupled with this... and the fact that I made this [here he waves the cube around, clearly meaning the high grade itself] myself to make sure... I was controlling the... the vectors indicates I wasn't wrong. Though perhaps I should have... let it sit for longer, considering the differences, but I don't think the result is invalid. And.
[He pauses, frowning at the nearly full cube in his hand, then takes a drink, kind of... distracted before he actually looks into the feed, optics overly bright and the frown briefly softening into something less defined.
Someone is very, very overcharged.]
And I don't think... I've been this overcharged since when I left the Decepticons.
[Much like when Starscream spiked his energon at Wing's party, Jetfire, despite stuttering to stops at times and sort of losing his thread before picking it up, is carefully enunciating each word.
He's now staring, fuzzily-concentrated, the frown back again, at the half-full cube in his hand. Sitting up against a wall, which is probably just as well, if he's tilting even with that. It's clear he probably meant to lock this to Starscream, but... forgot. Or failed.
Either way, this is all Starscream's fault. Starscream's, and science.]

... Already sitting down, so that would be... difficult to... ah, manage?
[Jetfire frowns, having to straighten from the helmtilt before he starts listing more, and the expression diffuse and underlaid by confusion.]
"Handsome"?
[Woman, what are you talking about?]
I'm guessing you've never been complimented before, huh?
...Er. No, I can't... say I have?
[Excuse him a moment as he frowns again, expression fuzzy as he, yes, actually thinks about it.]
Well, yes, I have, but. But not... er, by another species. Wouldn't it... defeat the purpose if you find something not of your own species... attractive?
[He squints slightly, considering Selina and while, as far as he can tell, she's probably an attractive member of her species and... sex? he couldn't say for sure. Starscream would probably call her pretty, though.]
It's cute.
[Okay, let's take this point by point, even if he himself is having some trouble staying on said points focusedly while he's speaking.]
Shouldn't... ah, equal opportunity merely apply to... to your own species, but both... er, sexes? I sincerely doubt there'd be any use in... any ability to be attracted to another species, especially when said species isn't... isn't even organic.
[One. Good.]
And I'm not... entirely sure where you get the... ah, idea that I'm naïve, merely from talking with me while... er. I'm. Overcharged.
no subject
Jetfire WHERE are you? [He's going to go find you mister, because you look like you need a sober friend.]
no subject
[There's an attempt at holding up his index finger, but since that's the hand holding the cube, Jetfire pauses to stare at it, redirects to almost take another drink, before he glances at Blurr again carefully puts said cube down, and holds up a finger, expression as serious as it can be while he's... as overcharged as he is.]
Starscream did have a... a point, after all, since I do have modified a lot, or changed, or... er... upgraded... So it would be... imperative to conduct some sort of research to make sure the energon here, even the high grade made from it wouldn't... ah... affect me than otherwise to be expected.
And since I've... er... already was working on doing tests on consumption-worthy energon from here, it didn't... take much to... change and distill it into high grade.
[Jetfire pauses, tilts his helm, lists a bit, and straightens up again, slowly, very slowly and carefully shaking his helm.]
It's... a secret. I can't... I mean. Ah. I needed it elsewhere than my room.
[Working with such a violatile substance as energon where you recharged wasn't a good idea anyway.]
no subject
I'm sure that the high grade will come in handy once the bar is all ready but JETFIRE you really need to tell me where you are...[Blurr's trying to hack the signal but that would be easier.]
You had a fight with Starscream...?
no subject
... Well, soon.]
No, no, no. It's about integrity of research results, and I can't... can't guarantee that if Starscream knows... where.
[He frowns vaguely, though whether it's from what he just said, or what Blurr said, is less than obvious.]
A fight? No... Well, yes, earlier but that's nothing new... and he agreed he wouldn't do it again. But. But not... about the energon and what Starscream did. That was just a discussion.
And Starscream putting forth a hypothesis which I've... proven wrong. By making this. And getting... ah, getting... overcharged, on the nearly exactly correctly projected amount.
[There's another slow tilt of Jetfire's helm, another slight increase of his listing, but at least the frown is gone now?]
no subject
I won't tell Starscream you CAN trust me.
So you did have a fight... WHAT did Starscream do?
Very well Jetfire good scientist. [He woudl pet you like a kid if he could.]
no subject
... Blurr, I am overcharged, I haven't... lost half of my processing power.
[He heard that tone young 'bot and even if the stern expression is somewhat... fuzzy, it's still there.]
He can hack as well as... anyone, so I'd rather... not take chances. I'll show him... later. If he wants.
[The frown smoothes out as Jetfire merely looks vaguely confused.]
... When? With the energon? I still... don't have an idea, though I suppose I could surmise what he did from these facts, but no, I don't... know. And it wasn't a fight. But he obviously... did something with the cube he gave me at the... ah, party Wing had.
[Jetfire looks off, possibly frowning down at the cube he's put on the floor.]
As for the discussion that was an argument... which could have been a fight I suppose... He used my name when introducing himself to Arcee. I... disapproved.
[There's a static buzz and a huff as Jetfire looks back into the feed and shrugs, and overbalances slightly before he catches himself.]
no subject
Sometimes it's the same thing.[Tone, what tone >.> you are imagining things.]
Then you and me better talk in person....Wait....HE TRIED TO POISON YOU!? And was he trying to trick Arcee?
[Blurr managed to hack the signal, so he will be running to Liege's temple and start looking around the terraces below the temple. When he finally finds the bigger bot he smiles softly.]
HelloJETfire...
no subject
Perhaps, but if that was... true in this case I would hardly be discussing what... we are.
[Even if it's taking him a bit and he sort of loses focus briefly. But despite that he can hold a... rambling and unfocused admittedly, but still hold a thread of conversation.]
... What? No he---
[Jetfire trails off as a few moments later, Blurr is right there and didn't he lock the door? But well, if Blurr hacked the coordinates (which seemed like the most logical conclusion) a simple magnetic lock wouldn't be hard to override.]
Blurr. [He tilts his helm slowly in greeting and doesn't actually list any more than he already is. He does attempt to get up but... Ah. A few more kliks sitting down is probably best. Ahem.]
No, Starscream didn't... poison me. Seems highly improbable with the setting and the effects... I suppose it... hmm... [Jetfire frowns and shrugs] I shouldn't speculate but it must have been some sort of... stimulant. To firstly make merely one cube of high grade affect me as more does, and further something... else.
[Another frown, because while he certainly wouldn't mind having Starscream close to give him a hug at the moment, he doesn't feel the need to be as... physical as he was then.]
And I think he... "merely" was trying to... ah... talk to Arcee without revealing the... connections. His designation has.
[Jetfire gives a sweeping gesture with one hand, and then suddenly tips to the side, but catches himself against the floor and stits up straight.]
... Any reason you decided to... er, grace me with your precense, Blurr?
no subject
[Blurr waits for the bigger mech to finish his sentence and when Jetfire tries to move Blurr gives him another worried look. At least it was not poison. Probably not.]
Improbably is not im-po-si-ble but if you are sure....[Blurr's frown depends when Jetfire explaining Starscream reasons to lie to Arcee. Who knows what the seeker has been telling the new arrivals.]
Ah!carefulthere! [He rushes to Jetfire's side, even if he is the smallest one he would try to help him not to fall.] I wanted to make sure you were okay.
no subject
If he's going to kill me, he wouldn't do it like that. [Jetfire shakes his helm and then looks down at Blurr, a small, softly uncofused smile on his faceplates.]
It's all right, and I got... overcharged like this to make sure... I would be okay.
[Being alone, after all, would cut down on possible interference or accidents... Well, those that he wouldn't cause himself.]
no subject
[Blurr can't believe you really said that, Jetfire.]I think you had enough please give me that.
[Blurr tries to reach for the cube but D< YOU ARE SO TALL.]
no subject
If you... forgive me, I'd prefer not to... think about it. But I'd assume it'd depend on the circumstances... Ah, yes. [Glancing from cube (when had he picked it up again?) to Blurr, Jetfire shrugs and hands it over to Blurr.]
Back... when I left... when I defected to the Autobots, I would have assumed the battlefield. We were... both angry. Now? I don't know. Presently it doesn't really... matter I believe.
[Another shrug and really. He doesn't want to think on it.]
no subject
[He takes the cube and quickly puts it away before going back to the other mech's side.He rubs Jetfire leg gently.] It's fine IT's FINE...maybe you need some fresh air don't you think?
no subject
... Maybe a... good idea, yes. I think I... said the same thing to Wing earlier [he squints thoughtfully, leaning against the wall slightly too heavily but still upright and not listing] but I'm... unsure.
no subject
I will stay with you and if WING'S around perhaps he will like to give us a hand I don't know how much you drank but it will take a bit for your system to process the energon due to your...eh..considerable size.
no subject
[Then Jetfire pauses as he realises slowly realises that was wrong, again, and shakes his helm.]
And if we're only... going for a walk, I doubt he'd feel the need to... to come with. Though if we wanted to get some air... There was this place I had considered...
[Jetfire hums thoughtfully, and, surprisingly precisely and gently, guides Blurr in front of him as he steps away from the wall. There's... minimal but still obvious weaving as they walk for the door.]
It should take... two hours I think. Maybe. Maybe three... for the high grade to have been... ah, processed enough.
no subject
[Blurr decides to let it go.]
Air will de-fi-ni-te-ly be good..oh? WHAT Place? [He really hopes it's a real one, and not one Jetfire's intoxicated processor might have imagined.]
Wehavetime.
no subject
Ah... Well, there are gorges and trenches similar to that where Vector Prime's temple is located, which has openings to deeper inside Cybertron. That would obviously be interesting in itself and I've been planning to explore this either way but... er.
One of them has... has warm air blowing outwards. Somewhat curious and it obviously has to come from somewhere...
[Now that he's actually thinking about it, Jetfire seems to have decided this is an excellent time to follow up on said idea to explore and as they get outside he veers... slightly too sharply for his condition and stumbles.
Blurr is obviously fast enough to avoid this, but Jetfire isn't really considering that, and all he can think of in his intoxicated state is that if he falls, Blurr is so very small...
And up the speedster goes in Jetfire's arms as he nearly stumbles to his knees and then straightens up.]
... Ah. Oops.
no subject
Jetfire, are you alright? I mean, aside from being... more than a little overcharged? Do you need a hand?
[And, maybe it's rude but he can't help but ask.]
You were in the Decepticons?
no subject
[That is, even like this he wouldn't drink enough to make himself pass out.]
... I think you need... er, your hand, Wing.
[He squints thoughtfully, trying to figure out why that sounds odd, and then just... pauses. Had he said that? Yes, he'd said it. A static sigh slips out and he takes a tiny sip before putting the cube back on the floor again and concentrating (as much as he can) on the screen and Wing.]
I was... yes. In. In the beginning. It didn't... work out.
[Understatement, even if leaving itself hadn't been very dramatic.]
no subject
My what...? [Wow...the things he's not going to say I response to that... He's thinking them though and being quite amused.] Urm, yes. They are useful for...well, everything. [Including helping mechs to their berths or taking away communicators if need be. It's certainly what Wing would want done for him. Of course he's also a very embarrassing drunk.]
I'm sorry, I hope that's not too forward a question? You don't really strike as the type, no. I'd be interested in hearing the story sometime if you're willing. Though maybe not now...? [In case you regret it later for whatever reason.]
no subject
Precisely, so it would be... Oh, of course. Help. [He drags a hand down his faceplates and very slowly and carefully shakes his helm.]
It should be fine... My systems ought to have worked through this in... in an hour or two. And no. [Another slow, exacting shake of his helm.] It's... all right, Wing. While I didn't... plan on saying it, it's been said and if you want to know... give me an hour or similar.
... Perhaps a walk. When I can stand up without... having my gyroscopes... misaligning...
no subject
Yes, that is the idea.
[You've almost got him convinced Jetfire, and then you start talking about going places...]
Ahhhh, well. How about just some company then?
[Since you know, Starscream seems to be no where around taking responsibility for this.]
no subject
Er... Well, if you... want to? I wouldn't want to... to take up your time. Just going to, er... stretch my legs? when I can.
[Jetfire frowns fuzzily and then slowly shrugs. There is another attempt at standing up, but clearly Wing has a little time because he can't... quite... stand up, even leaning against the wall yet.]
I'm quite sure nothing will happen. At least nothing that wasn't predicted, since getting overcharged like this happened... ah... as I had... er, projected.
[Jetfire squints at the cube of high grade in his hand, gently tipping it to watch the energon swirl around, but at least he doesn't drink any more of it.]
Video --> Action
I think I will actually. I do need to...get out. And if you don't mind the company... Coordinates please?
[A mech of Jetfire's size being on the wobbly side is a little dismaying... It reminds him of the times he'd seen Axe drunk, except that Axe had incredible physical prowess when sober, so when drunk even his staggering was directionally controlled.]
Well I'm glad you at least proved your theory.
[Wing is already finishing up the task he was in the midst of before this transmission, ready to make his way Jetfire's direction when has that direction.]
Video --> Action
... Ah, no, I certainly... don't. It'd be a pleasure, even and Blurr might prefer some more company ever if he was... er, gracious enough to... to stay.
[Optics flickering slightly as he tries to focus back from that unintentional ramble, Jetfire distractedly nods and automatically sends those coordinates over, compared to Blurr who had to hack the feed to get them.]
I would rather... ah, have had it disproven, truly. Because at least that... would mean a new known factor and I could search for what the issue is. This means... that Starscream did something to the cube he gave me back, er... back at your... party.
[That was a while ago now, but Jetfire had put it aside until recently when it'd come up again between him and Starscream in general... Which had led to this. He's frowning slightly.]
Video --> Action
Oh Blurr's coming by too?
[Aaahhh, the power of saying 'Please.' Coordinates mapped, he jets off that direction.]
Ooooh. [This does not shock him.] Well...I suppose it says something about the pattern of Starscream's behavior. [A snicker slips out.] But it seems like that trick back-fired on him didn't it?
[The images of the seeker being carried around like a doll will never leave Wing's memory banks.]
Video --> Action
That walk will just be a bit longer than expected.]He seems to... er, feel like I need the company. Much as you do.
[He doesn't even sound upset, more utterly, drunkenly bewildered. It doesn't have time to stay for long, however, as Jetfire chuckles softly, a lot less reserved with his reaction regarding that than he might otherwise be.]
Pretty much... I, er. I can't remember acting quite... quite like that ever before, though there was one time...
[Jetfire frowns as he wanders out of the lab, slightly weavingly, and when Wing lands, he'll have the pleasure of seeing another cybertronian being held like a doll by the large jet. Blurr in this case.]
Video --> Action
It's what friends do for each other. Just to be on the safe side.
If you're lucky you'll never have to do it for me. I'm quite absurd when overcharged.
[In all ways.]
Well it was entertaining... [He might feel sorry for Starscream...someday.]
[He arrives then, his speed always a boon, landing gracefully with a nod of greeting next to Jetfire. And...Blurr.]
Ahh, well that's not what I was expecting... [He raises a hand to give Blurr a little wave. Apparently this is a thing Jetfire does when overcharged.]
Action
I think I could... er, could take a bit of ab... er, absurdity. I'm not... not as unused to it as it might seem. [Jetfire even managed to sound somewhat dry as he said that, even as he had to squint and stare down at his own feet as he walked.]
It was safer this way.
[As if to make his point, as soon as Jetfire stops a bit away in front of Wing, he lists a bit, then catches himself, fuzzily-concentrated frown deepening briefly.]
Didn't want to... to have an accident.
