Well now, with the First Forged gone that means we're on our own. I'm not one to sit around doing nothing, so I think it's time to offer my services for the good of Haven and the refugees who live here.

And for me to do that I need a contact or two who are willing to work with me and blab about who I really am. Anyone who is interested feel free to reply.

((OOC note: Since Cinderella is not as tech savy as any of the bots or individuals from more advance universes, so her trace blocker is hackable for anyone who would care to hack it. She realizes this, and is moving around in a more populated part of Haven, turning her Device off every now then to make it a bit more difficult, but not impossible.))

What kind of services do you have in mind?

To put it bluntly, I'm an off the books spy. Most of the time if find and take care of any traitors or would-be traitors back home.

Do you have ideas on how such skills might translate for use here?

How long have you been here? If you don't mind me asking.

Like I said, I usually deal with the inside threats. Especially the inside threats that make deals with the outside threats. I'm also good at gathering intel, which comes in handy in a lot of cases.

As for how long I've been here, I rather not say since it could give you a hint to my identity.

Understandable. Mostly I wanted an idea of how much of a grasp you have on the situation and people here, and how things work. ["Or how broken they are, as the case may be" –he doesn't type that part…]

As few of us as there are here, and with only one "outside threat" that I'm aware of, I don't know that there's much to be handled as directly as you're probably accustomed to. However, intelligence agents can always be useful, I'd think.

Would you be willing to meet with me in person?

New people come here often enough, and who knows if there is going to be someone who wants to go to the dark side. It's better to have some kind of safety net if something like that ever happens.

I am. I'm already meeting with someone else, but it would be good to have two people in the know. Especially if they are part of the Police Force.

Okay, he's not terribly familiar with European folklore, but he's pretty sure he doesn't remember any stories including espionage. ~~Disney missed something in the translation, apparently??~~ Well...either she's here by coincidence...or she's not. And if not? Who's he to judge?]

[Yyyyyeah, James Bond, he is not. This is him /attempting/ to not jump to conclusions or be /too/ obvious and just outright ask.]

[Cindy has a long list of things that Disney missed if he ever asks. But to be fair, the spy thing didn't happen until after the 'happily-ever-after.'

[That confused look of his is very amusing, and she can't help but grin.]

I am and he's right on time.

[Good thing Cindy will be the one doing the spying and not him.]

[That gets a responding grin as he relaxes a little. At least he doesn't have to dance around things trying to figure them out more subtly. He's very good at what he does –finding evidence, talking to witnesses, stopping the criminals, protecting the populace –and…not that great at what he "doesn't". At least he'd the first to admit it, that's something.]

Thank you for being willing to meet with me, Cinderella. Will you explain to me some of your training and your skillset?

[There's a LOT more he'd /like/ to ask –how did she learn, /why/ did she go into such a profession, what /happened/ to her "story" –but . . . they're not pertinent to the present conversation, so he'll leave that side of things be, at least for now.]

[She stands up and stretches some.]

I've been trained in all form of combat, both armed and unarmed, and I'm a pretty good actor so people don't suspect me. My best training is my experience, though. See, as a Fable I'm semi-immortal, so while most spies only have one life-time of a few decades to perfect their craft, I've had several. I've been at this for over two hundred years.

[Of course that's really just the tip of the iceberg for her spy background. Girl's got to keep some secrets after all.]

I see. [Wow...] What about your espionage skills? And . . . if you don't mind my asking . . . a "Fable"? Are you an embodiment of something, or . . . a spirit of some kind?

[She might be surprised at how open-minded he is. Then again, he's fought sorcerers and psions before, and he's from Japan, which is steeped in mythology, folklore, and belief in a plethora of deities and nature spirits.]

Not a spirit. Right down to the genetic level, I'm human, but I'm not from "Earth." For whatever reason, the people of earth know the history of my home world and other worlds as fictional stories, and somehow that is connected with how long Fables live.

As for my espionage skills, lets put it this way. I make James Bond look like an amateur. I can deceive, and with the right equipment, I can get any job done.

…interesting. [He just nods –he'd like to ask her more, but that's for another time, he figures.] What kind of equipment are you accustomed to working with?
