angleofscience: (and then Jetfire went neutral - blank)

[Video] - backdated around three days

[Because of this. Jetfire is patient enough to have dragged it out this long, both because he would rather either Starscream did the right thing, or he managed to get out himself, but as he hasn't...

Well.

Have Jetfire looking impressively blank as he leans against the workbench in his lab, arms folded over his chest.]

... If someone [since the mech who should be doing it isn't doing it] could help me unlock the door to my lab, I'd be... grateful.

[Briefly, the thin line of his lips tighten slightly and then he just sighs, static loud, before rubbing a hand over his faceplates.]

If you can do it without destroying the door, that would be preferable, but if not, I'll deal with it then.

[Have some coordinates to a building on a terrace on Liege's mountain.]

[In the time it takes for Jetfire to actually begin explaining the problem, Perceptor's attention has... wandered. He turns away briefly, half-bent over some device or other, positioned under a bright light.]

[He's still visible, though, and occasionally nodding.]

[At least until the word... involved.]

[Then his head jerks up so fast he smashes the back of his helm against the light over his table.]

I'm... sorry? You're what?

Are you mad?

[That's about the most lucid question he can ask right now, which, considering Perceptor, says something.]

[He knew the Jetfire of his world worked with Starscream, knew they were on the research station Megatron commandeered, but there his understanding ends.]

[Perceptor simply stares at him. As if that's going to suddenly, miraculously, make this all make sense.]

I would argue that being intimate with Starscream, as you've just said, displays many of the traits commonly associated with madness.

Unless, of course, there is something you're not telling me about this situation, and the Starscream of your world is not, in fact, a treasonous coward with designs on Megatron's armies.

What you've stated simply tells me your affection for him has either blinded you to his faults, or caused you to make a gross error in judgment, enabling you to overlook them.

Or, you're simply in denial about his true nature.

[Short, and to the point, for once. Fondness in this situation is clearly a step in the wrong direction.]

Then you also must realize he's fully capable of reverting. Or, I daresay, altering his behavior in order to suit the current situation. If he's capable of such radical change, evidence suggests it could swing from...

[He says the word as if it were dirty:] ... softened ... to murderous once more.

[Fortunately, the Jetfire he's familiar with had a similar incident with defecting. That barely seems to register.]
