[Briefly, the thin line of his lips tighten slightly and then he just sighs, static loud, before rubbing a hand over his faceplates.]

If you can do it without destroying the door, that would be preferable, but if not, I'll deal with it then.

I can think of several things with a lot more practical use and versatility than weapons, but either way... Why would I make you go to jail? It's just a door, and as long as the explosion doesn't actually injure either you or me and preferably leaves the actual lab intact, there'd be no reason to. I did ask for help, after all.

You sure? I mean, you know, I can do bodyguard stuff.

[Jetfire's thankful Whirl can do subtle and just waits through the rattling vibration in the lab, before walking down the corridor to get up to the door. And since the lock is definitely blown now, he can just force the door open with his own hands.]

Not everybody. Thank you for the help, Whirl. I might be able to replace the locking mechanism even... we'll see. And yes, I'm quite sure I can handle Starscream. [He shakes his helm.]

No, I do. It does seem like the qualities and characteristics of energon is shared across all realities, so there is no appreciable difference between them, besides some slight colour or taste change...

[Jetfire hummed thoughtfully over that and Whirl probably didn't want the aside, but this tends to happen when you're talking to Jetfire.]

[Despite his dry earlier tone, the thank you is perfectly sincere and Jetfire doesn't really waste any time drinking it. Not so much because he's perilously low on energy as it's nice to not be.]

Freedom I'm going to use and point out to Starscream I'd... prefer he not do this again.

[With a shake of his helm, Jetfire's flight systems fire up and he rises up in the air a bit.]
