[Thanks to Soundwave, Kay had returned back to her usual, bubbly self. The police force could take care of Overlord, she was sure of it. So it's better to try and UP those spirits instead of keeping everyone down. Just like Soundwave had done. And always wanting to make him proud, she started searching for any way to do so. And lo and behold, Gunmax's recent post just made Kay realize something important. Not that the police force was losing a member, oh no. But that Christmas was coming up!

And then she wondered...do robots celebrate Christmas? Maybe they were more fans of Hanukkah. She wasn't picky. Something festive was just the thing Cybertron needed. With lights of any kind. Lots of lights. And a party.]

Hey everyone!

[And there she is in Kagerou's nest, sitting with the notebook Trion's acolyte brought her, tapping her pen on her mouth.]

Christmas is coming up, isn't it? We should really do something. Something BIG! We could hang lights, make decorations...bake cookies...the works! But I'm wondering, do you guys even know what Christmas is? What do you robots celebrate? Do you guys have any holidays? Even the humans, because we're from different worlds, right?

So basically, for all you bots who might NOT be in the know, Christmas is a time of year where you get together and spend time with people you love! There's gift giving, decorations, lots of food, and snuggling up by warm fires and punching whoever takes your blanket! Oh and soup. Lots and lots of soup. Do you guys have any holidays that are like that? Because I'm thinking we could like...mesh them all together into one big party! I'll take notes on everything. I've already got a few Earth holidays that are around that time we could use...

So I'll provide the notebook, you provide me with the--

Ah, no. [She keeps from laughing, but there's a smile on her face as she nods.] We don't. Seasons with changing weather isn't exactly something you'd see... at least not similar to what I understand can be found on Earth.

Didn't make much difference between the solstices, but they were marked.

So it was more just like...your average day except...a holiday?

[That's kind of depressing.]

...Oh! Miss Elita! I had a question...

Ah, no, what I mean is, the solstices meant... mean something, and were celebrated, but the different solstices didn't have different meanings.

[So there was celebrating, most definitely.]

Yes? [She tilts her helm and the smile is automatic, but nonetheless meaningful. Kay just inspires the response.]

Back on Earth, we used to decorate trees for Christmas.

But there's no trees on Cybertron, are there...

Do you think if we planted those crystals by the Hub they'd grow in a week or so? We could decorate them like the trees back home!

Hmm... [She frowns thoughtfully, but the smile from earlier deepens.]

I'm not sure, but we can certainly try. And either way, the larger trees should be large enough that if we break off branches from them, those branches would be around my height... and if we take smaller ones, those would be suitable for your size.

[Or at least adult humans, since she's noticed there's some differences in height.]

That would probably be very beautiful.

[Not something she's ever done, but given the crystal trees and any possible decoration... Impractical or not, it'd look pretty, and not everything needed to have any particular use.]

Oh! That'd be perfect! As long as it's something tree-like...something we could decorate all pretty and stick around the Hub. We could put lights on it, and they'd reflect off the crystals...

[She sighs, looking up as if imagining it now.]

Should be as tree-like as we can manage without being artificial... And yes, lights, or if someone can make it, fiber optic strings. Then you'll have coloured... or even multicoloured strings of light hanging from them.

[She wouldn't think like this usually, but it might be something Kay would like to see, so she's simply trying to think around types of decoration she remembers used from before the war.]

Wow...that'd look...beautiful.

[She jots that down in her notebook, putting a star next to it to cite it's importance.]

And ornaments!...maybe there'll be things from the junkpile we can use as ornaments...

There should be. Or, if we can get metal sheets, or ore and we have a forge and someone knowledgeable, they should be able to create ornaments of whatever type you want. Though, given the lack of equipment, for the human-sized trees, unless tools and suitable-sized resources can be had, we may want to look in the Junk Pile either way.

Forge? Oh! Oh!

I wonder if Miss Solus would help...She has one, like you said!

[Elita's not sure she would necessarily help, but...]

Asking her wouldn't hurt anything, I think. Perhaps she'll even like the idea overall, with decorating the crystals we'll get?

Oh...Oh we could make one for each of the FirstForged! Like...everyone from Mr. Trion's decorates his...you know, like that!

[She smiles again, optics dimming slightly in thought.]

I'm unsure if Liege Maximo or Megatronus Prime would fully appreciate it, but they might... who knows. And if no one else there would volunteer to decorate, I'll help you.

[She just has a hard time imagning either of those two mechs being too enchanted with the idea of crystal "trees" in front of their temples, but who knows.]

[Just the idea of trees around every temple is a beautiful sight. One Kay really wants to act on.]

Then it's settled!

[Laughing quietly, Elita nods.]

Certainly. You and any others here who aren't cybertronian are further away from home than those of us who are, so I don't mind helping you feel more at home.

We'll go looking for what branches you want in a day or two, then, and I'll see what I can do about getting them where they need to go.
