☄ [Video] :: Location - Junk Pile

[He'd been out on his glider, rounding about the Haven's central when he noticed the unusual lights in the sky. He's looked up at the rip in space enough times to know it's probably not a normal thing, so naturally he'd prepared for the worst.

What he hadn't expected...was tiny little flakes of white.

The Link picks up just as he hops off of his glider once within the quadrant of the Junk Pile where the snow has already begun to powder the area. The boy stops and stares for a while, and then looks around, smiling brightly.]

Heheh!

[Laughing, he slowly turns about as he looks up at the sky again, lifting his hands to catch flakes on his palm.]

[It looks like what Vandal described. And like what Kay cut out of paper... so...]

[Blinking, Ventus looks around before jogging back over towards his glider again where his Link's strapped.]

I think? It sure looks like it, anyway!

[He looks at his hands, slightly wet from where the snowflakes have melted.]

It looks... it looks so soft.

[Careful, Kagerou. You're smiling.]

[It's okay. Ven here is absolutely beaming.]

It is! And a little cold, but it's neat!

[He steps back a bit, looking around again.]

...I guess it's only snowing out in this one area of the Pile.

It's beautiful. I've never seen anything like it.

[He honestly sounds happy. Excited. This is a first.]

But, still. It's snow. For your holiday.

[Smiling, he raises his face towards the sky, watching as the flakes float down around him, getting stuck in his hair.]

...oh, the Christmas thing that Kay was talking about, right? I don't know much about it, but the snow's a nice touch.

I thought it was something all human beings knew about.

Maybe from the world you're from, or similar ones. If I've heard about it or celebrated it before, I don't remember it.

I've never heard of it until now... so I couldn't tell you.

It's okay. I wouldn't have thought about it at all if Kay hadn't suggested doing something for it. Oh! Did you see the trees?

Gunmax mentioned it a while ago. But... nothing helpful.

Yes. They're beautiful, aren't they?

Oh. Well, Kay seems to know a lot about it. Have you asked her?

[He nods in agreement.] They are! Every single one of them. I wish Terra and Aqua could see them.

Yes. Kay is more helpful than he is... she's told me some things.

... Your friends?

Yeah. From back...back where I'm from.

... I wish my friend back home could see them, too.

Whenever we go back to them, we can tell them about it at least.

Yes. You can.

[He's quite for a moment at that.]

...but in the meantime, at least we can share it with new friends here.

... Yes. We can. Friends are important like that.

[He nods.]

Why are you laughing?

[He's figured out it's some weather thing but...not sure why the human would be happy.]

Why not? [He turns back towards where he'd left his Link, beaming.]

I've only heard of snow, but this is the first time I've seen it- and this is the last place I would have expected to see it.

And does snow make everyone happy? Is that normal?

Uh... I don't know? I guess people can react differently to it.

Oh.

[A thoughtful look.] But there's a chance, right? There's someone I know that could use some cheering up.

It's possible! Snow doesn't seem like a normal thing here, but it sure is a nice sight!

Not normal doesn't mean not nice.

Not here, at any rate. [Where 'normal' meant shark things and being changed into girls and....yeah.]

So what do you do with this snow?

[...yeah, glad he doesn't know about that. ...which he would definitely not classify as normal.]

Um. Aside from watching it fall, I guess you could play in it. I don't think there's enough yet to make anything except snowballs though...

[He's studying the snow behind the other, trying to figure out how lethal it is. ]

Should probably keep Vandal away from it, then. [Well, it had been a thought.]

I didn't think it was really that complicated...

Some of the people I met told me about it. I'm glad I was able to see it for myself.
