[Drift's pacing, trying not to look at the, the thing, on the berth, still lying in a nest of white paper. He's so absorbed in pretending it isn't there, he doesn't even hear Wing until the other speaks.]

[He moves to the window, abruptly, trying to summon a smile.]

I told you you didn't have to rush.

I always rush to see you, love. [He'll steal a kiss too, to prove it.]

Now what's troubling you?

[He won't say anything, but he will melt--just a tiny bit--into the kiss, his optics remaining closed for a klik even after Wing pulls away.]

[He gestures behind him, to the berth, to that thing on the white paper, red ribbon curling around it. It's a hand.]

[Sometimes it's these stolen moments that are the best, proving that beauty and wonder still exist despite unpleasantness. In that way, Wing can and will always remain an accomplished thief.]

[He gives Drift's arms a squeeze before turning to the berth, creeping closer because he's not sure what he's looking at. It's pretty obvious when that changes though, given the noise and the cringe that accompanies it.]

Giyaahh--that's...wow. [D:] And it...came wrapped like that!?

Yes. Like that. [He's trying to step between Wing and the gruesome sight, trying not to look.] It's Gasket's.

That's...horrible.

[He takes one last long look, optics cycling several times as if in disbelief, before stepping back and letting Drift interpose.]

[Drift is a far better sight anyway, and Wing gives him a long sympathetic look before reaching out as if to gather him into a hug.]

I'm sorry. I don't know where it came from you certainly don't deserve this.
