[It's not often Drift loses his temper. At least, it's not often that any one sees it. ]

[You're seeing it now, his blue optics blazing nearly white, one hand shaking as he holds up some white wrapping paper and a bit of red ribbon. It's all he intends to show anyone.]

This some kind of a joke?

[If it is, apparently Drift doesn't find it very funny.]

[ O-oh... her face lights up red. She knows he probably means that in the most platonic sense but she can't help it. It's the first time he's ever said it. ]

Everything will turn out okay, Drift. Even if she's too depressed and traumatized to believe it for herself, she'll believe it for him. ]

[He cycles a long vent of air, just trying to be here, and not think about that...thing back on his berth.]

I heard there's snow. Do you do 'snowball fights'?

Not even from me? I promise you'll like it. It's- well. I mean I hope you do. It's nothing bad at least. It's under my bed. Reach down and pull it out...

[ She's trying. If he reaches down, he'll end up pulling out a too-long scarf that looks like it's been stitched together (poorly) from several blankets/quilts. It's varying shades of red. ]

Yeah, Kagerou told me. Never gotten to before, being as this is kind of my first experience with it. I'd love a snowball fight... not that I'd be very formidable heh... can't want well.

[He can't say no, even though right now the idea of opening another package right now makes him queasy.]

It's....red. [He holds it up, between his hands, looking confused. Scarves aren't really something he's familiar with.]

It's a scarf. You wrap it around your neck and it keeps you warm... er. And looks really fashionable. I guess you don't really need to stay warm but. You know. I guess.

You uh. You don't have to wear it... I mean if you don't like it.

[ Rambling. ]

[ OH THANK YOU SUBJECT CHANGE. God she wishes she could rewind time and un-tell Drift that she wants him for kissing and such. She just looks like an idiot now, still stupidly infatuated. It's just that now it's obvious. ]

YES! Hahaaaaa. Yes. I would. That would be. Great.

[ She grins so hard she winces. Smooth. And now isn't even the time. He's grieving, good lord. ]

[Drift's not really a fashion maven, so he looks confusedly at the thing then back at her, bending closer. ]

Can you do it? [Because he has no idea how to put it on. Wing's get up at least made sense. This was just a long, fuzzy strip of cloth.]

We could try. With the snow. You could teach me that, too, as well as this 'scarf' thing.

[ She reaches up and takes it from him. Shakily getting to her feet. She braces her hands against his shoulders for support as she carefully works to wind the scarf around his neck. It wraps a few more times than is needed until it just about covers his mouth. Even then it still nearly reaches his knees. ]

There. You look great. I made Wing and Percy matching ones, too. You look real handsome in that.

And yeah, I can teach you how to have fun in the snow. I've ready so many books, and it's always in holiday vids and stuff.

[He has one hand braced behind her, should she start to fall, ducking his head to try and help her wrap the scarf around him.]

It's very...soft. [He smoothes it down with one hand. ] You made it? When...? [Because it must have taken a looooong time.]

[He twitches his head to one side. He's...not sure he wants to talk about Perceptor. Or Wing.]

We should try it, then. If we can sneak you out of here.

Had it started before... ah. Before shit happened. Had someone bring it to me so I could finish it here. Plenty of free time, laying in bed all day.

Sorry it's kinda shitty. The arts aren't exactly my area of expertise, but I tried.

[ She leans back slightly to take a look at her handiwork. Yep. Scarf sure looks like shit but Drift makes it look good. ]

No sneaking needed. I an leave with a chaperone, and you look pretty chaperoney to me.

They kinda figure you know... can't walk without crutches anyways so. Heh.

It's really nice. And long. [Really long.] No one's ever made me anything before. [He keeps stroking one hand down the fuzzy length.]

I'd be glad to chaperone you, Karrie.

[ She leans up and plants a kiss on his nose. ] It pleases me to be the first.

[ She gives him a good scratch under the chin as well before sitting down and pulling some clothes out of the drawer of her nightstand. Just some ripped up jeans and a ratty hoody that looks like it's seen better days. She pulls those on, haphazardly over her bed clothes, owching and grumbling as she tries to avoid pulling her stitches. ]

Okay Peter Rabbit, time's a-wastin'!

[The blue optics blink at the kiss, crossing slightly as she kisses his nasal armor.]

[He frets while she gets dressed, watching as she 'ouches' her way through the process. It's all right, though. He's got this part figured out. ]

[He folds down into his alt mode, popping open a door.] Whenever you're ready.

....Bumpers.

I'm glad you like it.

[ She pulls on a warm looking hat and boots, enjoying the familiar sound of his transformation, laughing at the light teasing. ]

Oh wow okay. Thank you Sir Asking-for-tickles-later. When I'm well, you'd better watch the fuck out. I have a back-stock for you.

[ She crawls carefully out of bed. A few steps leaves her stumbling to catch herself against his hood where she can ease over and crawl in the passenger seat. ]

Mmm. Still cozy.

[He managed to roll the scarf up, so that it fills the seat next to her. In case she should get cold. You know. ]

Why wouldn't I? It's perfect.

[His engine rumbles in a chuckle. Because hearing her talk like that is the best thing he can imagine right now.]

Why would you want to tickle me when there's.....Wing?

Aww jeez. Get out, you're so sweet.

[ She snuggles down in her seat. ]

Oh nice try. You gonna throw your boyfriend under the bus? Tsk, tsk. That's an extra helping for you, Drift. You just doubled your sentence.

I'm just saying. Jets. They're more fun to tickle.

[ She chuckles. ]

It would be unwise to tickle me while I'm driving.

[New plan: just...never ever be within her reach when not in motion. This would work....a bit.]
