[Drift's been running a perimeter of the Badlands for a few days now, on the lookout for Megatron's mysterious attacker, as he'd promised. It's been...good, getting away, and just lapping miles under his wheels, in that almost zen-like focus of driving. And it's given him an idea.]
You know what this place needs? [He is excited so he will just rush to the answer.]
It needs a good race track. Not one of those just...oval things, but a fun one, with sharp turns and slopes and different surfaces. Like rallycross, on Earth.

[She doesn't know whether it is possible for robots to be crazy, but what is being suggested certainly sounds crazy. How does one respond to that?]

[Even if he is crazy, the bot doesn't seem dangerous, so X-23 lowers her guarded stance once more. Right now, she doesn't have many options.]

We also have the Hub, which is just us, refugees. It's as close to neutral territory as we have. We have some human food there.
[Doesn't that sound enticing. Human food!]

[The mention of the temples brings forward her memories of the fortress where she woke, not that she understands the title of 'First Forged'. She would rather avoid returning to that place if that is indeed one of the temples. The Hub however is an open alternative, and she needs food more that Drift might understand. It feels like her stomach is trying to digest itself.]
What do you want in exchange for a ration of food?

Just, I guess, that you help someone when they need it in the future. [That sounds like something Wing would approve of.]

[She hesitates at that. The requested exchange is odd... Nothing was ever given to her, and the vague proposal to help someone when they need it is unsettling. It could mean so much. Perhaps though, that lack of definition could be argued in her favor if she ever found herself faced with a distasteful demand to fill the bargain...assuming arguments would be heard.]
[Glancing downwards in thought for but a brief moment, she takes in a deeper breath as she straightens herself a little taller before looking back up to the bot on the ridge.]
