[The feed opens to a view of Megatronus Prime, a bloodied sword in hand. He gives it a hard flick to clear the worst of the gore from his blade, and a chunk of what used to be one of the monstrous centipedes flies off and knocks a nearby Acolyte in the head. It stumbles out of frame. Megatronus doesn't pay it any mind and addresses his audience:]

I imagine few of you will argue with me if I say that our guests have overstayed their welcome. Hospitality has its limits, after all.

[Besides which, he certainly never invited them to visit in the first place. Rude, centipedes. Very rude.]

When the creatures of the Badlands haven't the sense to retreat of their own volition, I find that a concentrated application of brute force is often enough to convince them of their error. My kin and I have determined that these monsters are likely led by a demon hiding at the core of an offshoot of the Badlands – if you've wandered outside of the Haven, you've likely noticed the approaching darkness. That is where we will be applying our force.

- and when I say 'we,' I don't simply mean my brothers and I.

Refugees, I call on you for volunteers who can fight; failing that, I'll accept volunteers who think they can fight. Anyone with a skill that would serve them well in combat, or those capable of supporting combatants. What you lack in size or experience can be compensated for through other means. I am willing to offer what gifts I can to those willing to fight in order to improve the likelihood of your... success.

[Survival. The word he means is 'survival.' Dragging Refugees to the heart of enemy territory often ends poorly for the weaker members of the group, but it's a necessary sacrifice.]

Unless, of course, you'd all rather be subject to regular attacks within the Haven. For those of you that care enough about your friends and your place here to act, I will be waiting for you in my arena. The Acolytes will direct you if you cannot find your way.

Don't confuse irritation with disappointment, Blurr. I expect very little of the average Refugee.

Being in charge doesn't always equals to doing what is right or fighting in the front line. It does in my case but in many universes the War started because the people people in charge didn't take enough res-pon-si-bi-lity.

That's quite the sad life. Then again, the average Refugee expects very little from your lot as well.

And yet you seem to expect me to tolerate your insults with good humor. Quite the risk-taker, aren't you?

[The mask hides it, but one can certainly hear the unsettling smile in his voice.]

I didn't insult you sir, I was just sharing common knowledge. Always. [Blurr's actually trying not to smirk. That would be rude.]

What's life without risk? Besides longer, I mean.

Don't be grit in my gears, Blurr. It's not a rewarding life choice.

So, those gifs you mentioned...what are those about?

[Bad things tend to happen to people who make him mad on purpose. Strange, but true.]

I need combatants, and not all of you are ideally equipped for the role. It's in my power to change that. I can offer the ability to heal from crippling wounds, to melt your adversary with a thought - whatever your greatest deficiency is, I can counter it.

[Disclaimer: he can, however, do nothing for those whose problem is a lack of foresight or common sense.]

No, I'm not. You can't, however, deny that sometimes you and your brothers aren't exactly clear when it comes to what is going on. People worry and people gets angry. And when that happens then bad things happen. [Blurr only wants everyone to feel more at ease with the FirstForged, actually, not piss off the big guys.]

[Strange, uh?]

Those are quite the abilities sir. [Fine, Blurr's a bit impressed.]

I can clarify nothing that I am not asked, Blurr. I do not coddle those too meek to approach me.

[Blurr got answers about Overlord when he bothered to ask, didn't he? The rest of the time, Megatronus isn't inclined to babysit the refugees. Cybertron is a harsh teacher, but it's home for now. They'll have to get used to it eventually.]

They are the powers of a Firstforged. We are not always averse to sharing them, when there is cause to share.

You are intimidating, Sir Megatronus. [Take that as a compliment or as an offense. Blurr thinks you might choose the former.] Not everyone risks speaking their minds in front of god-like entities for that reason.

[But he gets your point.]

Does it weaken you? To share your powers, I mean.

Fear is no excuse to remain ignorant, nor something one should blame others for.

[His response to it is neutral. It's a fact he's well aware of; neither compliment nor insult.

It does insult the other refugees to suggest they're just too shy to speak to him, but he doesn't really care about that.]

Not in any significant way. I wouldn't offer if it did. Think of it as... unlocking a certain potential within those mechs I engage.

[Casually offend people is something Blurr does often, but most of the time it's unintentional.]

Good to know then. And for how long ^{they last? I'm} using those won't work forever.

I could make them last forever if I so chose, but as this assignment is temporary so too will be your abilities.

[Also, Blurr isn't one of his own, and he only gives the lasting gifts to his own Glyphed. Megatronus does indeed play favourites.]

Expect them to last no longer than one week.

Makes sense even if it's quite a pity. [Blurr has been feeling a bit self conscious about his smaller size lately.]

[He doesn't know that, but he wouldn't be surprised if he did.]

A whole weeks will be an interesting change.

Did it take you longer than that to become accustomed to Vector's gift to you?

[There's the barest hint of genuine curiosity in his voice. He's never been anyone but himself, and it's hard to conceive of being without the powers he has as ever feeling 'normal.' Yet, the refugees live that reality.]

Either way, it is intended as a reward; if you find the experience unpleasant, I can remove it sooner.

I wasn't sure what it was happening at first, I thought something was wrong with me. It was confusing but not bad. Now it feels like something was missing all those years.

[Blurr still doesn't know why he got that particular gift but it proved really useful so far and he's more than happy to have it.]

It is not always as easy to acclimate to the powers of a Firstforged other than your own, but it is as you say: we shall see.
