[Broadcasting perched on an outcropping over a lava flow, seemingly sounding unbothered by the misstep into a sideways universe--first rule of Decepticon Club is never let em know you're scared.]

So, this looks like Cybertron--actually, a lot like the one I just came from. But from my recon, it's either a time, a space, or a time and space displacement.

Little bee, are you here? [elaborating] I'm looking for an Autobot named Bumblebee. About this high--[indicates short, midchest height]--gold, kinda stout. I'll also accept Metalhawk, Wheeljack - Soundwave? How about Prowl, with my luck he's here. [Bueller?]

--For the rest of you, my name is Starscream. Maybe you've heard of me. [and he's smirking a little self-indulgently at the thought. No matter how dangerous or inconvenient it might be to be preknown in a brave new world, it's nice to be important.]

Wait... your... Starscream?

I didn't know you guys could be crazy too. And F. Y. I. Wheeljack is here, don't know where he is exactly but he is around.

[This spunky girl is staring the video, on hand on her hip and a seriously doubtful expression on her face.]

That's right, I'm Starscream. [that is weird, a human that recognizes him and doesn't seem panicky about it.

Okay, it's not unprecedented, but it is weird. To the tip about Wheeljack he actually seems pleased, and the crazy thing he totally glosses, for now.] Good, that's something I can use.

--I don't think I know you.

I don't believe you. Starscream is gray and red and pointy in all kinds of places.

[She isn't quite aware yet that more than one Cybertron also means a chance for more then one Starscream, or any Cybertronian for that matter.]

I'm Miko, and Bulkhead is my Guardian, though Wheeljack is watching out for me here right now.

[The way she says that almost dares him to try to do something against her.]

Hm. That wouldn't be the one I'm told looks like a unicorn. [he smirks a little.] Well, Miko. I can't think of anyone more mature and responsible than Wheeljack.

[whoops alternate universes]

In a grotesque way I guess... like a horribly misshapen unicorn. [She just grins back.] Wheeljack is the best without Bulkhead here.

[And she is ignorant of this fact.]

I haven't seen him, so I can't speak for his frame. [a beat. He is trying to resist talking up someone who shares his name, but he can't.] But every Starscream is perfect in flight, no matter what they look like on the ground.

I don't know that designation, Bulkhead. What are they like?

Well I don't stick around when he is in the air, normally in the air or on the ground he tries to shoot at me.

Bulkhead is a big guy, he is a green SUV, and he is really nice, he likes rock and heavy metal music too!

Hm. [Diplomacy is a hard thing.] Individual humans should be low priority. [But there was a time he killed humans for fun, so, you know.] I'll talk to him, but no promises.

What's his function?

It's alright, he probably doesn't like me cause I'm friends with the Autobots, but I guess that is a part of the whole war thing.

He is? Was a Wrecker along with Wheeljack. Also he's my guardian.

I should've guessed. Autobots and humans buddy buddying seems a pretty consistent cross-universe trait. [interested] So the war's still going on, in your universe. Is--your Starscream trying to usurp Megatron?

A wrecker. Primus. [bad news. He's sort of hoping Bulk doesn't show up SORRY MIKO]

Yeah, the war is still happening. I don't know what Starscream is or isn't trying to do, aside from threatening me, we don't hear a lot about what's happening with the Decepticons.

[Miko never stops to question if it is a good idea to share this much information.]

Don't worry, he's a good guy, and an ex-wrecker.

Well, look. If he is, that's a pretty stressful rock and hard place to be between. [whoa is he trying to forgive another Starscream some bad behavior what a shocker]

You'll forgive me if I don't think an Autobot from a Great-War-current universe would be a "good guy" to me, right?

I thought I heard Bulkhead say something about Starscream not working with the Decepticons anymore at all... [She doesn't even consider the moral ambiguity.]

Well I don't think he will hurt you if you don't do anything wrong, especially once everything gets figured out.

[The sudden change in tone is about the only thing she doesn't understand and is paying attention to.]

Of course, I mean, you haven't threatened me or suggested I go off into dark places on my own, so you must be a pretty nice guy!

I don't see any reason to threaten you. [and this, at least, is sincere. Just like he wouldn't spent time kicking turbofoxes, or crushing insects, there's little to be gained these days by threatening humans.]

And it'd be nice if your friend showed up. [For you, anyway.] Can you keep a secret, Miko?

That makes you pretty different from the Starscream from my world. [She doesn't think about it that way, but if that is what keeps her safe she won't put up too much of a fuss.]

Yeah, I can totally keep secrets. [She looks a bit more excited at that kind of question.]

[he can see he's going to need protoform gloves with this Starscream.] It looks like they're breeding Decepticons varying levels of harsh, depending on the universe. [maybe the one from her world had a harder life than he did. Let's face it, if he'll cut anyone slack, it'll be another Starscream.]

Just between us... I've never really talked to a human before. Will you tell me if I'm making a fool of myself?

I don't know, maybe. But between us most of the time it seems like he's just trying too hard, and just seems a bit pathetic. [She gives a shrug. Miko is enough of a show person to appreciate a good villain, unfortunately that Starscream isn't always a good villain.]

Sure thing, I'll make sure to help you out where you need it. You're doing really well so far.
