That does not seem so bad.

[At least not outwardly. It almost seems too good of a deal to be true, but then...some of the things he's spoken to Prima about make it seem logical.]

The Boss had a kitten. It took to Deckerd very well, but it could not talk.

He said I could speak with him, if I was concerned. That he doesn't want to make me do anything I'm not comfortable with.

It would be nice if there was more wildlife here, I often think. However, Whirl said he received a cat from Alpha Trion.

But it has looked well-cared for each time I've seen it. Maybe animals can help someone in more ways than one.

I know they have been used in hospitals, so...maybe they are. They must be good, or else why would so many own them?

I just thought it was because they liked them.

Besides, the paperwork is easy to fill out. And if there is a dog that is found--someone will need to take care of it. It shouldn't be left to wander alone.

[Oh. Maybe that is why he feels protective of Kagerou. Not...because he is a dog, but because McCrane doesn't want him to be left alone.]
