[Knowing that some of his teammates were here had been a big relief for Mordin, though honestly even if he had been alone he would have managed considering he thought this was the afterlife or whatever it was one wanted to call it. (He still wasn't completely convinced he wasn't dead but he'd keep those theories to himself and maybe Shepard.)
He'd found the temple of his 'firstforged' quite interesting and had been exploring it a lot, the dance thing that had occurred nothing something he was all that interested in at all.
And, of course, now he had a lot of questions. Especially about Cybertronians.]
Would like to know more about the larger inhabitants of this place. Robotic in nature but almost organic in the way they act. Curious. Much different from the Geth back home.
[Seated in his room, the scientist is going over something on his omni-tool, the comm device resting on his desk.]
Looking for a volunteer. Need a closer look. Run scans. Collect data. Need better understanding of the unknown.
[Because he hates not knowing.]

[There's a truth in his words that rings loud and clear. Mordin's never been the type to lie about things. He's straight forward as always, if that makes you feel any better Cliff.]
Would be grateful.
Great. Ya know that ain't very reassurin', right?
[Just... drags a hand down his faceplates.]
Somethin' in particular you want to know?
That's 'cause we ain't just got programmin' to decide everything like your normal A.I does. We're a mechanoid species, not really robots. What makes us what we are are our sparks [There's a miniscule pause as memory files regarding rarefied energon, the nature of sparks and... no. Shaking his helm, the blue glow of his optics refocuses.] which are kinda like balls of energy.
[Close enough. Robot souls, yay.]
Life force, memories, personality. Sum of the parts, whatever. Supposedly made mostly or completely of positrons.
[But he doesn't know much more exactly than that; he's not a scientist.]
[Interesting.]
[Though it makes sense that other species might have similar concepts, which would be translated into the same, or a similar, word.]
[Especially if you live a short life, like most organics do. Cliffjumper pauses thoughtfully, then shrugs. Probably wouldn't hurt to bring it up.]
... Dunno if it'd be interestin', but I do know that there's, like... at least one mirror universe where sparks are made up of electrons. Don't seem to have changed the properties or whatever. Though embers are reddish, an' at least in my reality, sparks're blue.
[Well that's even more interesting and has him cradling his chin in his hand, contemplating over that.]
Example of such an individual here? Would like to see the differences first hand. Could prove worthwhile in the scientific study.
[Cliffjumper squinted, and then that transformed into a scowl.]
Not sure I should tell ya 'cause actually askin' to see a spark or ember, that's... That just ain't askin' someone to get naked in front of ya, but open up your skull and ribcage as well.
Though if you just want scans of it, I know that can easily be done.
He's a doctor and a scientist. Asking to see people naked isn't something he thinks twice about. Not having a sex drive also makes asking something like that really easy for him.]
Wasn't trying to offend. Would take the opportunity to scan if presented.
Not 'bout offensive, really, but it's kind of sensitive.
... And, well, if ya can get a medic, they oughta be able to give you some basic scans or whatever. Since that's part of the scans they take for repairs.
Will take that into consideration. Trading data might be the best option to take. Thank you for the suggestion.
Probably. No problem, I suppose.
[Still massively unsure about this whole slag, but the information given seems kind of okay.]
