[There is a lot McCrane has to get through in this, but it is less daunting with assistance. He stands by Ultra Magnus, barely fitting in the same frame due to their size difference.]

As you may have heard, both Ultra Magnus and I have taken over as head of Police since Blurr's resignation. We will be conducting all affairs pertaining to the safety of the populace residing within Haven, so if you encounter a threatening situation or require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us or our new secretary, Cody Burns.

All members of the Police Force should check in at this time, as well as any prospective applicants.

[You'll get a nifty badge for doing so. Also, it'll help them figure out who they can send on assignments~]

We won't be able to do our jobs to the best of our abilities without set laws, however, so we are requesting the Law Committee to designate a Head of Operations to organize new laws and report them to us.

[Without official laws, the police are technically nothing more than a well-equipped band of enforcers.]

Pharma will need to undergo his trial, as well, since we do not have the manpower to keep him confined to Liege's temple for much longer.

[McCrane has been over there roughly once per day, and really...there was nothing to prevent him from walking out beyond the threat of Tarn.]

Finally, a number of our data-pads have gone missing lately. We are in the process of an investigation, but if anyone has any information or a similar crime to report, it would be appreciated.

Correct. We worked together back on Delphi prior to our transportation to this universe. Apparently he arrives farther down the timeline, during the plague. I came before it had the chance to spread. I served as his ward manager.

I understand, and I apologize for the delay in addressing this.

[He's especially sorry, since the two of you knew each other.]

I've spoken with Pharma many times, and he seems to be a well-grounded individual. I can see the probable cause for his actions, however...but do you have any idea why he'd go to these lengths? Do you think he might have feared retribution for his actions on Delphi?

If I recall, he said there would be no other way for Autobot High Command to intervene unless something drastic happened. Such as a plague. Or maybe he just broke beneath the stress, wanted to cover up his mess and tracks, and run away. But, above all, he's insisted he did it to protect the clinic. [pause] I believe him, in a way, but I still think he's no longer as mentally sound as he once was. I think he might have developed some sort of stress disorder, something that would... Well, I don't know. I'm not a therapist.

Do you know of any therapists here?

[Because it occurs to McCrane that having one would be useful for talking to Pharma.]

And do you think this has something to do with his fear of Tarn?

The only one I am familiar with is Rung. Unfortunately, I think he may be the only psychotherapist available, as well as the only one qualified. But I'd think with his arrogance, getting him to talk to a therapist will be somewhat difficult.

Yes. Tarn was the reason Pharma started stealing t-cogs, and eventually, the pressure made him snap. The... DJD are... very dangerous. I've never met one outside of a few short conversations between Tarn on the link, but I know... I know they're enough, Tarn's enough, to deal some serious damage. I've no doubt in my mind that the DJD pushed Pharma off the edge. Though I wouldn't say Pharma is entirely blameless - he could have come to First Aid and I for help, but, as I said, his arrogance kept him from seeking help. And even if he wanted it, I think it was too late by then to ask.

[pause] What Pharma's done can never be fully forgiven, but I think considering the circumstances, I don't believe he is just some cold-blooded killer. I think he's just... He's not mentally sound anymore. And when he is tried, I think this information should be taken into account. Have him undergo a real psychiatric evaluation, if you can. Though that's just a suggestion.

I think, based off what you are saying--we will have to have him speak to a therapist. It is a good idea.

[And it gives McCrane other ideas as well, for how to treat future prisoners.]

Maybe, in time, he can become the person that he used to be again.

[That is McCrane's hope.]

Until then, I will take this statement into advisement, and I will speak with Drift and First Aid as well. Once the Law Committee is organized, I will be sure to submit this information along with your suggestions.
