[ Saber's face comes onto the link quite clearly. There's an extremely large wall behind her, which happens to be one of the sides of the Hub. ]

Greetings, all. As I was walking through the Junk Pile today, I came across something I immediately recognized.

[ The camera is then turned and focused on a motorcycle. It appears normal, but may look slightly unique to those with appreciation for motorcycles. It's dinged up in many places, but most of it seems to be aesthetic or nothing too serious.

After the motorcycle is on the screen for a few moments, the knight turns it back to her face. ]

Does anyone have the time and means to repair this for me? I'm certain I can offer goods or services in return. [ After all, she only spent her first few months in the junk pile, stocking the (back then) Rec Center. ] This would immensely help in my duty patrol in Vector Prime's quadrant.

[ Saber has been asked by Vector Prime to assist in patroling the eastern end of the Vectorian quadrant. It's not that difficult of a task as she can easily travel very quickly on foot, but her motorcycle would make it much more efficient. ]

[ The following is sent only to Knock Out. ] I first thought of you when I was imagining who I could ask. Would you be able and interested in repairing my motorcycle? [ They had even talked about it briefly not too long before.. ]

So that one is the famous, nameless, motorcycle. I am able to do many things. [With something so small, thought, it will be like working on a miniature.

Yes, it is. ..How strange I mentioned it and suddenly it's here. I believe I looked twice before I convinced myself of what I was seeing.

[ Saber brings her hand to her chest in a respectful manner. ] I don't have many areas of expertise, but I am sure I can assist you with or do whatever task you would like me to do in return.

Perhaps the lambda heard you. It does weird things after all. O hope you didnt' hit it just to be sure, I know people who would do that.

I'm working on a new medbay, one more suitable to everyone's needs here. [Meaning, with less Autobots.] And I need more tools, but looking around the junkpile is so..[Knock Out makes a face]....dirty.

I.. see. Aye, I can do that. What would you like me to find? All I ask is that you transport the motorcycle to the work station yourself. [ She did try to start it, and it will start, but it doesn't sound like she should be attempting to drive it very far.

Besides, some of what he may need may already be hidden in Haven's Hub somewhere. ]

I will give you a list, If you can't find any tool then raw materials work just as well. I can do that, it's small for me. I will have to change the engine so it runs on energon. It'll go faster than before.

..I see. [ Run even faster? That'd be.. ridiculous. Saber won't voice her opinion, though. Perhaps when he actually sees what the vehicle is like, he may change his mind. Or may not. ] Yes, please send the list when you can. If you would organize it as the item needed and then the raw material that could be substituted if I am unable to find that item.. that would be exquisite.

[Energon over energize things, it could happen. Specially if Ko added synthetic energon or dark energon to it.

Then again if he did that the motorcycle would probably a) become sentient and b) try to rule them all.]

I think the motorcycle may already be spoken for in terms of being fixed. ..However, I'm honored to hear you wished to volunteer. ..If you don't mind, what other types of skills do you carry?

[ Someone who can fix machinery, the more standard kind, is quite useful to have. And now she can keep someone else in mind if she ever needs the Yamaha repaired. Perhaps the gentleman has more arsenal in his skill set that Saber can remember him for. ]

Uh... Oh, hm. Well, I'm Don. People call me Doc, but I guess you don't have to if you don't want to!

[He blinks, thinking about it for a second]

Well, other than being good with machinery - just the... non living ones of course - I'm a pretty good cook!! I guess I'm an OK fighter, too. Not that it means much when there's all these giant robots around. Anyway, if whoever claimed the motorcycle wants any help, I'm pretty free most of the time!

You should perhaps contact Knock Out then; he will be the one repairing the motorcycle. However, you should expect that I may be contacting you in the future regarding it now that I know you have the skills to maintain it.

[ A heavy pause. ] You.. cook? By chance, would you have.. ah, say, professional experience with being a chef? There is an on going project at the moment to add a kitchen-styled eatery at the Atrium. I am currently in charge of it since I am running the storehouse that will be built, but I personally do not cook. It will be like a self-serve kitchen with space and appliances for many to use at once. The basic responsibilities would be overseeing it and ensuring.. it's not a mess. [ She's unable to help but show a momentary and humored grin. ] It wouldn't have to be you, but perhaps someday someone could offer lessons on how to cook for others who are new to the craft.

Sure, if he doesn't mind me butting in! I'm usually pretty free a lot of the time.

[He looks around a little]

Well, um, I'm not a chef really, I'm more of a ship's cook. I have some pretty nice recipes, but nothing too complicated. Yeah, I could help people out and cook. I cook for Marvelous all the time anyway, so it's not that much of a different thing for me. But yeah, I'd love to help!

[ Saber is unable to help but smile. Fantastic! ..Maybe she can learn to cook someday, too. ]

I will write you up for the position and give you more information when it's available. If you're wondering, the head of the project is Wing and he may be able to supply you with more information about the construction of the eatery itself. [ She pauses briefly. ] Ah yes, it still needs a name.

[He smiles back, feeling pretty glad to be useful.]

Yeah? Great! I'll get in touch then, sounds like a plan. It's needs a name, huh? How about... um... [He looks a little shy] "The Galley"?

[ There's an awkward pause, and then her eyes widen as if she's remembered what that is. ]

I appreciate your concern, but I do not use one since it's not required for my level of driving skill. ] Despite the fact her statement could easily be taken as ridiculous confidence, she feels completely at ease saying it and it comes out in a natural tone. ] ..And if somehow the low chance does happen that I get hurt, any damage would be recovered fairly quickly. [ Saber thinks about that briefly. Head trauma? Maybe three days with Avalon inside of her. She nods once she confirms that. ]

You could be the new Evel Knievel, but wearing a helmet is just common sense no matter how skilled you are with a bike. No one likes scooping brains off the ground, y'know.

[sigh] Yeah, well, I'll be on-call in case you need someone to patch you up.

[ Saber looks at the man fairly intently for a moment and then speaks with a gentle smile. ] It is good to know there are more kind-hearted people who have arrived. [ Only one who was kind would continue to be interested in the safety of someone who denied their voiced concern. ]

[smirks] Well, I don't know if I'm necessarily "kind hearted" as just, "please use common sense". But... Well. I'm a doctor, so it's a bit important to care for my patients.

I will ensure to remember you are skilled in such an area of expertise for the future. I am unsure why, but it never dawned on me that this could be a much more common hobby on this planet than I knew. ..Do you also drive?
