[Video][Nexus Quadrant]

[Anyone passing by a certain area of Nexus's quadrant may have heard a terrible crunch of metal and some spectacularly loud howls of pain a couple minutes before this recording. The camera flicks on and it shows mostly Dirge's face, scrunched up in pain, a stream of energon sliding down one side of his jaw.]

...I'm stuck.

[The zoom adjusts, revealing the teal jet pinned to the ground on his back like an exotic butterfly by a sharp, rocky outcropping piercing him straight through the gut.]

What's worse... my lunch got away.

Yeah, well, don't move. Primus only knows what all's been ruptured.

Now, now, Dirge. I might not yell at you.
[He might snarl at you instead!]

...My fuel tank, for one. [He's been coughing up plenty of energon.]

Yeah, maybe not- but if you don't you'll just lecture me instead and that's really boring.

Urrgh... It hurts. [He's pretty sure some shards are broken off inside.]

Frag. I'll pack extra supplies.

Well, sometimes things get a touch boring. And when you get impaled you're looking at a long wait.

I'm comin'. Fast as I can. [You are officially one of the last ones left. Even if he hadn't particularly liked you... you're important.]

Extra sounds good. I like extra.

...Great. I don't know how much longer I can stand all this pain. [Not to mention how much longer he can leak fluids and stay conscious.]

Don't know why you care to help me, anyhow. Unless this is paying me back for the centipede thing.

You're a tough mech. I know you are. You can hang in there. [Long enough for him to get there and start patching what he can and turn off his pain receptors.]

I always pay my debts, Dirge. Don't like them just hanging around. And those of us from Axiom... getting few and far between.

..... [That's right. as much as he's been sure everyone would eventually come back... only Barricade has been around so far. Which means that Blackout might not be back.

...They're just... taking their time. [He says quietly.]

Yeah, I know you can't.

I'm saying it because you are tough. [Thought the fragment doesn't hurt with that, it's true.]

... I want you to be right. [So much that it hurts. He's gotten so tired of being the last one standing.

Barricade coughs quietly. Focus.] I'm on my way. Listen for sirens.

Megatron came back. For a little while. [That's gotta count for something.]

And If I'm dead when you find me I forbid you to take my body. That's still mine.

[He'd say more but he's actually getting kind of dizzy from energon loss.]

He did. Was glad t'see him again. [Barricade hopes Megatron makes it back, somehow.]

You're not gonna be dead. Your going to be fine. [Even if he has to bring you back from the dead himself BB|

And he comes careening through, sirens going and lights blazing, skidding to a halt.]

Uh huh. [Is all he can manage to say.]

[Dirge is still there, predictably, groaning softly but unable to do anything else. Which is good, because otherwise he might move, despite everyone's warning not to.

The combination of Baricade's lights and the cluster of error messages constantly popping up makes him dim his optics and grumble.]

[Well the grumbling at least means Dirge is conscious. Barricade shifts up into base mode, dashing over.

Frag frag frag.]

Told you I'd get here before you died on me. Now I'm gonna turn off your pain receptors and your motion controls before I get started on the rest of... this.

[Lots of this. At least help will be on the way. Time to get rid of the pain and keep Dirge from trying to pull himself off that rock.]

Mn... [Pain receptors getting turned off sounds good. And who needs motion controls? Nah, it's all good.]

Get this rock...outta my tank.

[There are way better things he could be putting in there. Like cassettes. Or high grade. Boy, Barricade is blurry... he almost looks like someone else....]

[You get another extra medic Dirge. One cheery red and that quickly changes form hsi sports car alt mode to his robot self.]

I'm working on it, promise. Gonna take some doing, though.

[There is so much to take care of first... Luckily Knock Out is there. His armor slumps slightly in it's housings.]

Absolutely. C'n you make sure there wasn't any damage to his fuel lines? We need to set up energon running to his vital systems as soon as possible; I brought some cubes. I've gotta sheer off the rock so we can get him loose a little easier.

[Nothing like two good looking mechs leaning over you with concern to make you feel special. Dirge grins up at them both, his engine purring a little disjointedly.]

Energon sounds nice~

Did you set off his pain receptors already? [Knock out figures you did, but it never hurts to ask. He crouches near to Dirge's side, inspecting the damage.] I would be surprised if all of those were intact. [That with a rock piercing Dirge and all.]

There's a cut. I would suggest welding close the leak but with that much energon around that will make us blow up. I can always do it manually.

[Meaning, he can put his hand inside the bound and grab the cables to stop the leaking. You are a huge guy Dirge, and he has long fingers.]

First thing I did. Don't actually need him going into shock. [Barricade usually hesitates to turn them off - pain responses tell him a lot - but this time it seem like a poor idea.]

Hold on. [He's halfway up Dirge (and the rock), but pauses and opens the compartment in his chest, pulling out a few clamps sized for Dirge's lines.] Use these if you c'n get them in; it'll leave your hands free until we c'n get him off this thing.
