[On the Prime verse Autobot frequency]

Uh...anybody heard from or seen Ratchet lately? Tried contactin' him, but it don't go through.

[[There's an edge of frustration, plus worry, to his voice. Not this again. Not. Again. Last time the medic disappeared, he'd gone to the badlands. Did he go there again? Ratchet, you're supposed to be smarter than this.

There's also a low mutter of 'Hoping he didn't disappear on us again'.]

[Sometime later after talking to the other Autobots and humans from his world, he sends out a short message to the rest of Haven.]

I'm...sorry ta report we're down a medic.

Ratchet seems ta have gone missin'.

[He stops himself from adding an 'again' at the end of it.]

[He's not blaming him. He's just about as frustrated over it. Members of his team, family, keep arriving and disappearing on him. Ratchet, twice now, Arcee, Cliffjumper...

Is Arcee going to be the next to disappear again? He doesn't want to push them away, cause they're still family, but it's getting harder. It kind of makes him cling to Wheeljack, Smokescreen, Miko and Raf. The only bots and allies from their world that haven't disappeared.]

Nugh, I just wanna hit somethin'.

[It's Impactor all over again. Roadbuster, Pyro. Seaspray, Rotorstorm. It's the same. thing. And this place is cruel for continuously bringing them back, only to shove them off again. It's like watching a death film on loop in his mind. Granted it was as lot less extreme, but the loss was the same.]

I hear ya.

It's why I didn't jump to stick with Team Prime.

[Yes, it's the crew all over again. At least when Wrecker's died, they knew they wouldn't be coming back. That they'd never see them again. This was cruel, seeing people you're close to come and go, and no way to do anything about it.]

There aint much of a team here. Startin' ta wonder if it's worth tryin' ta stay a team.

[Wheeljack goes quiet at that, as if thinking it over himself. Granted he wasn't the best person to come to when it came to 'being a team', but...]

What would Optimus want, Bulk?

[Silence on his end too. Wheeljack can't see it, but Bulkhead grimaces. Optimus is still a rough spot for him even now, months later. But it's enough to cut through the frustration, to the more rational side of his mind. Calming him down.]

He's...he'd want us ta stick together as a team.

[Optimus wouldn't want them splitting up, no matter how low their numbers were. There were only four them that arrived on Earth to start with. This isn't much different besides the cruel nature of it.]

As family.

[He knows Team Prime, and who they idolize. He might not exactly SHARE those feelings to the point they do, but he respects OP enough. Enough to keep the Wrecker's head on straight. As much as he wants his buddy back...he knows where his place is.]

There's your answer.

[The next sentence is hard. Especially for him.]

Family's somethin' that never really goes away.

It's just...hard. Arcee....she aint been here as long. Aint seen as many as we have come and go from our world. Ratchet, Cliffjumper...Arcee herself. Even...Optimus.

[Optimus died here, but he was still gone. There's just that slight feeling of disconnect. Arcee can't relate to the pain and frustration. But he knows she's trying.

He's quiet for a moment.]

Even when they don't see each other for centuries.

[Yeah, he's referring you, Wheeljack. You're part of his family too. Now more than ever.]

I know what ya mean, Bulk. We've been here awhile. And...seein' these guys disappear while you can only stand and watch...'s tough.

[He hadn't been there for Optimus...but it wasn't his place to. He was never REALLY Team Prime anyway. So imagine his shock when Bulkhead says that.]

Heh...Me? You sure about that?

Yeah, exactly. Good people ya know shouldn't be goin' to the badlands, that don't deserve to be there. I like ta think they go home, but after Ratchet's last return..

[He didn't like the idea of anyone going to the badlands, but that seemed to be where most of ended up.

He'd wanted Wheeljack at their side for the Optimus thing. Primus knows they needed all the help they could get. But he could understand why Wheeljack stayed out of it. It was the teams duty, even if there had only been two members at the time. Much as Bulkheaded wanted it, Wheeljack wasn't anymore a member of the team than he was a member of the Wreckers.]

As sure as I've ever been. We were like brothers once, we've gotten that closer if not closer now. At least...I like ta think so.

It doesn't get any easier from here on out, Bulk. We've been here the longest, that means we're the ones who are gonna have to toughen up.

Don't you leave me, got that?

[It sounded, almost desperate. Wheeljack's been here since the beginning and...a lot happened before even you showed up. And now that he's got some stability...]

Always will be, Bulk. And if not...closer.
