[Video - Transmission from Alpha Trion's Temple]

[The feed flicks on to reveal a rather furious looking boy with three white stripes on the left side of his hair, his unnatural gold eyes glowering at the camera. His chest is heaving as he struggles to restrain himself; if looks could kill, then the device would be dead five times over.]

Is this someone's sick idea of a joke?! How could anyone possibly think of doing something so twisted?!

[Of course, he must be referring to his appearance on Cybertron. Not hours earlier, he had been in Death City, speaking to his fellow classmates... It would only make sense for him to be so incensed, having been whisked away to a foreign planet!]

This marking on my shoulder! Why is there only one?! It's completely asymmetrical!

[... Or not. Even without the glyph directly visible, the very idea that he could be marked in such an unbalanced, terrible way... His skin should have rejected the ink to begin with!]

I demand to speak to the ones responsible for this atrocity!

I can deliver a message. What should the message state?

[Well, it was certainly better than nothing. Hopefully, this being would deliver the message quickly - he had no doubt that when Alpha Trion realized this grave mistake, he would quickly remedy it.]

That his glyphs are completely wrong! They're an affront to the eyes! An insult to the very name of symmetry!

He needs to put one on the other side! How can he expect to protect anyone from madness without balance?!

[The voice startled him, enough to temporarily pry his attention from the troublesome glyph on his shoulder.

As he blinked up at the new Cybertronian, he couldn't igore the bizarrely familiar sensation. It was similar to the wavelength of his father somehow, if only because of the enormous scale.

Wait. 'His' walls? Was this...?]

I don't know how they couldn't be. This is terrible.

Are you... Alpha Trion?

You have me at a disadvantage, knowing my name when I have not learned yours. [This was rare enough--but he'd not seen this child around before, so it was also unsurprising.] What shall I call you?

[With the asymmetrical glyph in question, it was a struggle to keep himself in check. How could he not see what he'd meant? It was hideous! An entire group of individuals, marked on only one side!

He cleared his throat, trying to maintain some semblance of control.]

Excuse me. My name is Death the Kid, son of Lord Death.

[He had a feeling that it wouldn't mean as much here, but it was only fair that he be forthcoming.]

And what is terrible is this glyph!

[He jabbed a finger in the direction of his shoulder.]

Haven't you seen it? I only have one on my left shoulder! It's completely screwed up!

It is a pleasure to meet you. I've encountered numerous writings about various incarnations of Death, including a few from alternate Cybertrons. That name would make you something of a figure in your world, wouldn't it?

[If there's one thing Trion loves to talk about, it's literature.]

I assure you, things would be more terrible without it.

What part is bothering you, however?

Actually, my father is the reigning god of death. As his son, I will eventually ascend to his position - but I still have much to learn before I am prepared to take on his responsibilities.

[His explanation is a bit rushed; normally, he be more than happy to discuss it. But there are important symmetry issues at hand!]

However, sadly, I do not have good news for you. Us First-Forged do not control who the Glyphs are given to, when they are given, or where they are placed.

Allow me to assure you that the protection is still in place, however.

Is it only the lack of balance that is disturbing you?

[He cocks his head, turning, as if indicating that Kid should follow.]

Forgive me, but I fail to see the advantage of being taken from my world.

[Not that there was ever a good time to be yanked to an alien planet, but for it to happen now... They couldn't afford for his father's attention to be divided at such a crucial juncture.]

Then who is responsible for them? Why would someone else be branding us with your marks, and not their own?

[He wasn't sure how well he could keep pace with the Cybertronian, but he moved to follow all the same.]

I... understand the need for them, I just... I can't stand having only one! Only through balance can true perfection be achieved. Just looking at it like this makes me feel sick.

With luck, we should be able to place you back to the same place and time once Unicron has been defeated. This will have been nothing more than an inconvenience...

I do, however, offer my apologies.

[He goes as slowly as he can, moving onto an elevator.]

Prima is likely responsible. [A3 certainly hopes he is, at least.] He is the creator of this world.

[The elevator rises, and Alpha Trion stays quiet, considering the options and not able to come to a good compromise for his new Refugee. There was something he could do, however--and as the lift-doors slid open, he gestured to the grand doors of his Library instead.]

Then do not look at it. Look at something...potentially more pleasing to your eye.

[Because the doors are inlaid with beautiful images, hand-crafted by the Acolytes to show the creation of the world...and they are completely symmetrical, mirror images in every tiny detail.]

I'm not sure 'inconvenience' would be the word I'd use... but if we can be sent back without any time passing, that would be reassuring.

[Did that mean... that time was on hold in Death City? If dimensional travel was possible, then it wasn't far-fetched to think that travelling to different periods of time within those worlds would be as well.]

Then I'll have to speak with him. Just because I'm not looking at it, doesn't change the fact that it's there-!

[His rant is cut short, his eyes falling on the doors. There is a long moment of silence...]
