[Behold! A new voice on the network. And... it sounds decidedly uncertain. Maybe a little shaky.]

[Hey, when you get electrocuted by thousands of volts out of nowhere before waking up somewhere you've never seen, you're bound to sound a little off. Not to mention completely overwhelmed.]

[And quite honestly, he doesn't know what to say right now. Asking the empty air for help? In a place he's never even heard of? Surrounded by sights and sounds and robots utterly foreign? That seems... odd. But what choice does he have?]

Someone... please. [He hesitates.] I don't understand what's happened.

I --

[And here is where the first bit of real panic seems to show through. Sure, he got the explanation, but--] I don't remember coming here. Or ever hearing of such a place.

[This reaction sure sounded familiar. The way the Lambda inducted people into this world was downright rude. Wing finds it easier to be comforting face-to-face, so he opens the video link. His voice is calm, his face open and gentle.]

Do you need some help friend? I'm Wing. What's happened to you has happened to others, myself included. You're not alone. It's a lot to take in all at once though. I can help answer your questions if you like.

[There are so many robots here, what does he do. He's never seen so many before -- and most of them want to help... And now he's being called... friend?]

[Yes, he sort of fixated on that part, don't mind him.]

[Wing's seen enough varieties of robot at this point that another one is not too shocking.]

Until you do something drastic to prove otherwise, yes!

[The statement is made plainly with no veiled threats. If anything, there's a seed of hope.]

There are a few dozen Refugees currently. Only half of us are of my race, Cybertronian. There are various other robotic lifeforms, a handful of humans [you're not sure if he means this literally or not.] and a few other species I'm not familiar with.

Where do you hail from, if I may ask?

But... you don't know me. How could we be... friends?

[He's just confused. He genuinely wants to know.]

Other species? There are more than just robots... and humans?

[That's mind-boggling. Considering someone never experienced the rest of his canon, and missed all that alien adventure.]

Call it a seed of hope. I'd rather extend kindness to a newcomer and welcome a potential friend than be cold to a stranger. And besides, [he smiles] seems like you could use a friend, or at least a helping hand, right abut now?

[Sorry if you get run down by the welcome wagon, it's just a thing Wing does.]

Well there's Four, who is a tiny construct made from organic cloth I think. And then there's Teddie, who...seems to be a...ah, I'm not sure what exactly. Some kind of...animal?

[He's painfully aware that this is completely unhelpful, but having never seen Earth creatures he has no frame of reference for comparison.]

Japan? That's on Earth correct?

I... yes. [So many people. They're all so -- helpful. What is happening here? Is this 'dreaming'?] I see. I understand.

[No, he doesn't. Not really. This is so confusing.]

Constructs. Animals. They... aren't sentient? Are they?

[He's trying to process all this. And sort of ends up just looking lost.]

It is. A country on Earth.

Or put more simply...it's kindness. [Wing should probably stick to the basics, at least until the disorientation wears off.]

They certainly seem to be sentient. I can't explain why, but then I'm not a scientist.

[What about this place wasn't confusing at first glance though?]

I see. Do you have any relation to the Brave Police then?

Kindness. For someone you've never met... [He shakes his head slightly.] That is... difficult to believe.

[But then he draws himself up. He actually looks a little upset by the question.]

No. I'm not part of them.

I suppose I simply default to that. [He shrugs, it's simple enough in his mind.] There is not enough kindness in the world. And I try to treat people as I would wish to be treated.

Is kindness that rare a thing in your experience?

[He'll make note of that certainly.]

I see. But, are you from the same universe as they are? Your construction seems a bit similar...? I apologize for making assumptions, if that's incorrect. [Japanese robots, ~~you all look the same!~~ ]

And how has that worked?

[It's a fairly mocking phrase. And yet it comes out... curious. He genuinely wants to know.]

From a stranger... yes. Those I'd met wanted only to capture me. To kill me. They wouldn't listen. Wouldn't leave me alone.

[He nods, stiffly.]

We were all built in the same place, the same city. But their purpose, and mine, are entirely different things.

I've gained more friends than enemies. Inspired others to meet challenges with compassion instead of violence.

[He cocks his head in gentle understanding, because the mockery of this subject is not new to him.]

It doesn't always work, but it's better to try and fail than not at all.

[He nods gravely.] I'm sorry...that your experience has not been better. What was their reasoning? If I may ask?

[And he feels like perhaps he's getting to the crux of the awkward stiffness here now.]

I see. So you were created by the same humans? Are you willing to share what your purpose is? And how it differs? I apologize if I am too bold with my questions, I'm merely trying to understand, since understanding facilities compassion.

... It sounds as if it's done more good than it hasn't. That's... better than nothing. Right?

[Kagerou are you trying to reassure this guy? Well. You're trying. That's something.]

[He ducks his head, shoulders drawing in.]

Their reasoning for capturing me? They were ordered to. And never thought to question the command.

[At least, that's how he thinks it happened.]

I am a prototype stealth model. The basis for the design of another. A more improved version. I... was to train him, when they built him. Test him.

And when that was finished, I was to be erased.
