[Video - locked to a few people]
[She knew where, and what Ambulon was, but there were some people she didn't and she wanted to make sure they were okay. One way or another.]
Grimlock, Optimus, Kay? Whether or not you are what you ought to be, if you can reply, I'd be pleased if you could check in.
[Some people (like Ambulon) had been getting injured right at the change after all, and maybe not everybody could reply...]
It is something of a small, pitiful comfort to know that there is one world were the war did not ruin our world.
[A sigh; perhaps not so minutely bitter after all.]
Well, at least there may also be realities where the war has ended. It's... almost done that in ours, but unfortunately Megatron does still have troops that listen to him, though far fewer than before.
[He perks up some at the mention of her war, however.]
Do tell? Is Megatron on the run in your homeworld?
Societal unfairness should be able to be solved through less than war, I think. Even if it usually doesn't, in ours or other civilisations...
[Elita sighs, a brief little static hiss as she shakes her helm.]
We thought him lost, along with Ratchet, when the Ark, which they were on, crashed on Earth. There was no reason to go looking for the ship, and nothing happened for more than a decivorn until recently when he suddenly resurfaced on Earth.
[So, unfortunately not.]
While he does have a very limited force on Earth, we know he's planning to retake the majority of the Decepticon force that's currently under Bludgeon.
Perhaps the pre-war situation on my world could have been purged without all-out conflict - and almost anything would have been better than what we had - but I can no longer see any option what would not have embroiled the world.
[Regretful Prime is regretful. He's happy to change the subject.]
It's always Earth, isn't it? Hopefully you can stop him before he manages. Would it reignite the war if Megatron was successful, or do too few Decepticons remain?
If I had some similar experience to draw from to add insight, I would, but in my reality... Well, there was no outstanding reason for Megatron gathering his forces.
I've seen bits of recordings from the first few attacks, and all he's talking about is that peaceful society, in itself, needs to be destroyed and anyone who stands against them as well.
[All weren't sunshine and energon goodies, no, but nothing of great systematic unfairness.]
It seems to attract that type of attention, yes. [She shakes her helm, the smile going slightly dry instead of grim.] And hopefully so. There's no official count of the forces Bludgeon has, but ideally it shouldn't be enough for a complete resurgence even if Megatron is successful.
[Optimus shakes his head at the mention of a far different Megatron's method of warmongering.]
He sounds more vicious than the one that originally started our war - though he surely became just that type by the end.
[There's nothing wrong with hoping, as long as one keeps reality in mind.]
You know... I would have preferred someone who'd had more reason originally, whether or not they managed to keep to that. As it is, and was?
[Her expression goes flat, but her optics flicker with frustrated confusion. Why?]
It just doesn't make sense.
[Optimus can only shrug helplessly. 'Sense' never seemed to apply when it came to war.]
We may never know.
Probably not, though.
[She pauses, hesitating and briefly glancing away before she looks back at Optimus, helm tilting.]
Would you like to go for a drive? [Dragging feet unnecessarily even when she was being maybe-shy about asking something wasn't part of her repertoire.]
Caught in such hefty thoughts, Optimus took a moment to really catch what Elita was asking him.]
...A drive?
[Audials twitching in surprise, he nodded, smiling.]
Of course. Where and when?
Now, perhaps, unless you were doing something else? [She laughs softly, shrugging.] You, Kay and Grimlock are all fine at the moment, but with what's happening to everyone else, a distraction might be pleasant.
[And even if he had? He probably would have dropped them if they were not of any great importance.]
Where would you like to meet up?
I've checked up on Ambulon, so I'm not at Solus Prime's temple currently... What do you say about the edge of Nexus Prime's quadrant, on the side close to Prima's, if you're there?
[She waved a hand in the air thoughtfully.]
The junk pile would obviously provide plently of obstacles, but those craters are rather interesting as well.
I think we've all probably had our fill of jamming random junk pile debris in our undercarriages. I am more than fine with the craters if you are.
A little, yes. Especially if you want to cut through it to get to a quadrant on the opposite side.
I think the craters could give some challenges, getting down and up along them... and some nice racing at the bottom, or between them.
[Not that a truck will be able to put in a too great showing for that angle, but she'll be generous.]
[He smiles, engine revving faintly. He's ready to give this a go.]
You'd stand a good chance when we go up and down the crater's edges, though... I doubt speed is going to be useful or safe all the time.
[Not to say she might not use if it she judges it relatively safe, but.]
