Audio [joint post with Prowl and Skids]

[An audio channel opens up to the sounds of a minor struggle. Metal shrieks briefly, then a loud thud follows. It isn't long before the scuffle is reduced to a painful sounding creak. Any medic could recognize that ring as the dangerously strained hyperflexion of an arm joint, and anyone who's met him might recognize the protests of a just-returned-to-normal Skids.]

Ow--OW, hey, its not like I wanted to eat your spark. Primus, it tasted terrible.

[A less than pleasant new voice cuts in over this.]

Do any of the seven theocrats in charge wish to explain how being attacked five minutes away from one of your 'temples' is supposed to constitute a Haven?!

[The question is rhetorical, there's about a five second pause before the voice chimes in again. And boy, is it as charming as ever!]

The perpetrator in question has been restrained, and I suggest someone direct me to where he can be deposited before this escalates any further.

[In the background, Skids can still be heard struggling clearly.]

Is this because I ate somebody else's spark? Please tell me I didn't. No. I'm serious. I need to know this.

Who arrives carrying stasis cuffs, anyhow?

[The feed ends.]

It's just curiosity, I swear.

[He's wondering if this one is as much of a pain as the one he knew.]

Not necessarily, but it happens enough to be notable.

Besides, it's kind of the thing y'do in the Decepticons. Punch the scrap out of each other and move on.

[He had noticed all those spikey bits. He can't say he's used to seeing cables like that.]

Pilot grade. They're technically functional for all data uplink scenarios but they were added for piloting originally.

Do you know a Prowl in your world?

[He knew a few, but none of them were this Prowl.]

Rough-housing without the 'house' part, hm? Dead-end did say something about it being the precursor to friendship.

Or more.

[For some reason it keeps coming up.]

I can't imagine you run across a lot of data uplink scenarios here. I..uh.

I promise to not mention them to anyone, though.

I did. We used t'belong to the same organization, before the war.

[This is obviously not his Prowl, but he's curious just how much alike they are.]

Exactly like that. And a part of friendship, too; sparring's common.

And a precursor to more, as well. More often than you might expect, in fact. Heck, even met Autobots that like a good tousle before... getting onto other activities.

[Well, it's a popular activity. Especially when people get bored.]

I don't, no. And most of the scenarios that might come up aren't... anything I'm keen on.

... I appreciate it.

I think I understand exactly what you mean.

[He'd already had some contact with a Shockwave that wasn't his. It was...complicated.]

Think it was the war that made Cybertronians so aggressive?

I know it wasn't always that way.

[Not for him, at least. Granted, he miiight have been what you'd call a 'nerd' before the war began.]

...

Are yours sensitive?

[Might as well ask.]

The sad fact of living in places like these, right?

[It gets so weirdly awkward.]

Mine were always pretty aggressive. Even before the war.

I think... it might've just always been there, and the war gave us an outlet. Can't just shove it back into the bottle, as it were.

[Allspark knows he'd had that exact trouble with a few of his less legal activities.]

...

Very much so. More in some spots than others.

[Since he was asked he might as well admit it.]

It can be a little fun...

[But yeah, mostly awkward.]

No more 'middle gears.'

...

Think we'll be able to start over, here?

[It's hard to imagine, with Prowl dragging him across the wastelands and all.]

That.

Uh.

Hm.

Hmmm.

[Now he's thinking.]

It can be. Unless your relationship with them was... not so pleasant... in your dimension.

[See: Barricade and everyone called Prime ever.]

We might be able to. If we can keep from strangling each other or dragging our wars here.

[That's the part he's most concerned about.]

... Interesting?

[Barricade does not sound surprised by the prospect.]

Like Prowl?

[He can't imagine anyone having a good relationship with Prowl at the moment.]

Lets.

Uh.

Lets get started on that part.

[Specifically the lack of 'dragging.']

Good word choice. Interesting.

Yes.

[And now he has no idea what to say next. How do you even ask this sort of thing?]

Oh, mine was mostly a stick in the mud. No fun at all.

[Of course he'd been pretty much a teenager when he made that assessment...]

So far we've done fairly well, honestly. So long as we find something constructive for the pure warriors to do.

[There's only so much to be done, unfortunately.]

... If you're curious about it. Them. We could....

Set up a meet.

For when I'm back to normal.

[Here just let him say it. Trying not to sound too baffled by the prospect.]

I think you'll find this one very similar.

[So far, Skids was wishing he was a little MORE stuck in the mud.]

Something like making hats?

[It wouldn't stop him from being wry, though. Not at all. Nope.]

...

[That last like would, though.]

I.

Er.

Um.

Gotta go, we're driving through a pile of nails.

[At which point the feed would cut. Skids is both intrigued and terrified by the prospect.]
