Two individuals don't make a pattern or a statistic, and we haven't really met many at all who has read it extensively at all.
[In response, the harness actually tightens a little. Stay put, why don't you?]
... Starscream, can you just wait until we're inside the... ah, forcefield the Lambda seems to create before you leave? It won't take that much longer. Unless you'd like to attempt to see what happens when, lacking any modifications as you are, you attempt to go through the field in the opposite direction.
While plants do possess some ability of motility, some of the plants on this planet showed proof of a motility far beyond normal, from what I know, and there were some... incidents.
[Even without any facial expressions to help betray him, Jetfire sounds decidedly pained.]
... Starscream, why would I willingly elaborate on the where and how of these incidents? [Does he look like an idiot?] Suffice to say it was hard to say if they were due to some primitive plant intelligence and thus curiosity, or merely very fast growing.
It was... awkward [Not the word he'd really use, but that would require actually going into the details. Outside, Jetfire's wings flick minutely, but carefully enough to not disturb his course.] enough I don't particularly feel like dwelling on it.
... Precisely what I wanted to know. [He can't grimace, but there's a slight huff brushing into static in his voice.] Admittedly, if I'm not misremembering, there's a similar---
Nevermind. Want to get out and fly? We're past the... field.
[It was somewhat annoying to have no more exact way of naming the effect the Lambda had on the space around Cybertron that made them unable to get out beyond it.]
I'm finished, so if you wanted we could go back down immediately... or we could fly around a bit.
[He's not telling because if he does he'll be harrassed with it at all possible and impossible opportunities... And he doesn't want to recount such embarrassing incidents, okay.]
[And if they'd just been flying in gravity, he wouldn't have bothered with demanding Starscream use it. But yes, that harness gets opened up so Starscream can shake out of it as Jetfire stops to a hover and opens up the cockpit.
[Jetfire transformed once Starscream was out, and well, while at least he should return to Liege immediately so this thing could be solved a few more minutes couldn't hurt much.]
No, to keep you from annoying me.
[He managed to keep his expression straight and voice serious as he said it, even. Even if Starscream, if he'd stopped fussing with the harness, would've easily reached all the controls and buttons in the cockpit, given that he was large enough.
... bit too tall to fit comfortably, but that was beside the issue.]

...
I'd rather not end up on a strange planet with annoying looking plants.
[Like the ones you brought back.]

I doubt that would happen, but it probably is prudent not to attempt that experiment presently. Even if it might be interesting.
[He accelerated a little more, sacrificing a quicker time to brake when they were inside the field for the speed of getting inside it faster.]
I didn't even bring back the most annoying ones. I wouldn't have wanted them in my cockpit even if I'd had the ability or space to do so.
[He can't quite keep his compsure and briefly, Jetfire's voice loses its tight composure - some of those plants had been very... unpleasant.]
no subject
Why? What did they do?
[Would Jetfire have become a plant person?]

With vines.

Please do continue.
[More harassment material.]

[Maybe he could find one in the junk pile.]

Come out and fly, Starscream.]

[Because that was totally the only reason. But anyway. Starscream exited the cockpit almost as soon as it was open.
It was nice to get out of the cramped area.]

[Starscream glanced at Jetfire with a pointed look. He'd get him back for that eventually.
Just wait until they went back to the planet, Jetfire.]
no subject
I don't doubt it.
[Pausing, Jetfire drifted closer quickly and given they were up in the air, only had to lean forward to kiss Starscream's nasal ridge.]
You always do, after all.
[And with a small, slightly lopsided grin, Jetfire flew off. Come catch him, hm? If you can.]
no subject
Get back here! You are not leaving me out here in space!
[And so the chase began.]
