I know I'm not the only kid here... so, uh...

Does... anyone else miss their parents and brothers and sisters? I'm the youngest in my family, so my older brothers like to sit on me sometimes, but I really wish they were here... or I was there. We used to play basketball together a lot too. I sort of miss dad's cooking too, it wasn't so bad.

[Homesickness? What's that?]

Also, does anyone know how to play baseball?

The gyptians, the witches--especially Serafina Pekkala, Iorek Byrnison--he's a polar bear from the North, Lee Scoresby.....I really miss them all. They all helped me find Roger..

[At the mention of that name, Lyra's expression grows sad and Pan shifts forms suddenly, turning into a large house cat and nuzzle at the underside of Lyra's chin.]

[Lyra can't help but grin, feeling rather awesome and proud of herself.]

I rode one of the polar bears too. He carried me across the snow desert.

[His question causes another form to appear on the feed, a small mouse appearing on Lyra's shoulder before it suddenly melts into the form of a dove.]

What's a daemon?

I guess. I mean, yeah, I do. I rode in an air balloon too! It was amazing and we were really high up!

[And this was making her miss home even more now.]

A daemon is a part of your soul. The physical manifestation of your soul, to be exact.

[Pan snorted a bit and Lyra tugged on his ear. It was often she quoted the masters of Jordan College so he should be proud of her.]

I go flying with my friend Blades all the time! It's fun being up so high, and weather balloons are fun like that.

[Lyra blinks then stares quietly for a moment, her daemon mimicking her.]

That's just how it's always been. Humans always have their daemons and daemons have a human. You can't survive without your daemon where I come from.

Well we definitely don't have those where I live.

We do have hoverboards though, those are pretty cool. Hey, if I ever find a hoverboard sometime, I can show you how to use it!

[He's definitely likes the idea of spending a little more time with Lyra. She's so cool! In a very human way too.]

Hoverboard? Wot does that do exactly? Never heard of something like that.

[But oh does she look intrigued and you really aren't going to get rid of her if you find one Cody.]
