 [It's the dead of night, Mirage. Why aren't you asleep?

Well, to be honest, sleep hasn't come easy for the bot in quite some time. And with Sideswipe now rooming with him, he's found himself lying and staring up at the ceiling more often than not.  It...wasn't a happy time, to say the least.  

He's..had a couple things on his mind, too.

Leaving a note for the silver bot, he exits the Vectorian temple to get some air...and maybe some space. He didn't want Sideswipe hearing part of what he was about to broadcast.]

...Does anyone have ideas on how to fall asleep? I cannot seem to rest my optics tonight.

[Or other nights, but he'd rather not worry anyone. Unfortunately, Mirage's fatigue is slightly showing.]

I am currently in Alpha Trion's library. Among so many books, I have been losing track of time.

[ Saber's been trying to do her research, but she's often being side-tracked by topics of not major importance and hasn't accomplished too much beyond the basics she was lacking. ]

.. I have no right to pry, but I can always offer a loyal and listening ear. [ The King of Knights would never repeat anything told her to in confidentiality, but beyond that.. Mirage has earned her concern. ]

Ah, I see. My mentor often did the same. He would spend hours delving into scientific novels.

[He falls silent at her request. It's not that he doesn't exactly trust her...in fact, Saber has been one of the more mature humans he's met...it's just it's some heavy stuff.]

Of course not. I am aware some people who often to "listen" actually speak more than listen, but I am the opposite. ..I'll only offer input should you want it. [ The knight lifts a hand to her ches, a silent oath that she will not judge or repeat anything he says. Kind of showy for just saying she wouldn't mind listening, hm? But to Saber, such things are very personal and important, and she means as she says. Her eyes shine with absolute sincerity. ]

I have been troubled by many things recently. One is...my allies, Sideswipe and Bumblebee. Their arrival.

[ Saber notices a lock on the link and remains quiet. When he mentions Sideswipe and Bumblebee, he may notice there wasn't even a response in her. She doesn't know them, and in this case, this may work out well for Mirage since she can be considered somewhat unbiased in the situation.. even though she's only listening. ]

Please, continue. [ The knight gently gestures him forth. ]

[No response is better than a negative response. So he'll take it, in this case.]

They are from a time period earlier than I am. I have experienced more...and what I know may hurt them.

I'm unsure if I should tell.

[ Saber thinks about this. If she had been asked much closer to her arrival, the knight would have been too confused with how people can arrive from different times in the same world.

Saber feels Mirage wants input here, but it is a bit hard to make an educated guess with so little given. ]

This information that may hurt them.. is it because it directly affects them in your time, or is it because of situations that happened around them? [ So, maybe did one of them actually die, or did they just lose a loved one? Or would have if pulled from his time? ]

[Mirage mulls over her question, wings flicking idly as he scrubs a hand over his helm.]

Someone very close to him dies. Is murdered by one of our own. He idolized this bot, and...he was pulled merely moments before it happens.

He's noticed a behavior change in myself, as I've experienced this all, seen everything fall apart. But he doesn't know why I am this way. I have been telling him it is this place, but...it's not the whole reason.

[ That's a more difficult situation than Saber was expecting. The knight pauses for a good moment before speaking. ] Unless he insists on you telling him why you are this way and is very suspicious.. I would not tell him. Somethings are better left.. unsaid. And I believe this is one of them. ..How do you feel about simply not telling?

[He feels bad, spilling this all to a human. It wasn't her problem in the least, and yet he was pretty much asking her for advice on it. But...sadly, once he gets started...]

That as my original plan. However, there are those here who wish nothing more than to see him...crumbled. They are from the same time period as myself.

I am at a crossroads it seems. I tell him as an Autobot, or risk a Decepticon telling him...

[ Saber looks at the video feed with wide eyes for a moment, and then shakes her head with a sad smile. ] What an unfortunate situation. Then, aye, it is likely best you tell your friend yourself what happened. Would you not prefer you tell him instead of him receiving a different version of the story.. one that may make this entire situation even less pleasant? [ The blonde looks to the side once and then back to the screen. ] If told.. I would, even if I was heartbroken with the news, come to appreciate the fact you were honest with me. And I'd likely be content knowing I received the story from you rather than what could be a skewed story.

[ Saber knew there was dislike between Autobots and Decepticons, and it seemed to be stronger depending on where one came from. From how Mirage was speaking, it seemed this was the case for his world. ]

[Mirage nods thoughtfully at Saber's advice. It made sense. Every part of it made sense. All that left was Mirage's will to do it. Which in essence, was lacking in some areas.]

I thank you for your advice, signorina. You are wise beyond your years.

[pendragon]

[ His compliment causes her to blush softly as she looks at the screen in wonder for a moment. Wise beyond her years.. Saber smiles gently then. ] I must apologize, Mirage.. I did what I said I would not do and I spoke more than listened. [ The knight looks a bit ashamed of herself. ] I hope this will.. assist you in sleeping tonight.

[Congrats, Saber, his wings practically flutter, uttering a soft 'pata' sound when they do.]

I am not offended, signorina, if anything I am grateful. Being pointed in any direction is better than wandering blind in darkness.

Perhaps it will put some ease on me.

[ A nod and smile. Mirage was able to make her smile so frequently when speaking with him that it caused her cheeks to hurt. And that was happening now. ] Aye, I can agree. I will be here to help illuminate any dark path you may be facing if you wish for it.. [ A heartfelt and sincere offer. Saber had offered this before, but she meant it more than ever now. ]

[Those blue eyes are practically little glittering stars now.]

Ahaha! Now it is you who is flustering me! You are quite the wily one, bella~

Oh, come now. That is not true in the least. [ Saber looks surprised, once again. She had no intentions on flustering Mirage, but if he took it in that way.. well, no harm done. Realizing then that he was likely teasing her, Saber shakes her head. After all, the knight is hardly capable of being "wily". ]

Anyway.. [ A brief smile. ] I wish you the best, Mirage. [ His concern over something like this is something Saber admires; after all, he's losing sleep over telling or not telling his friends something so important. And to her, that's a sign he truly cares for his friends. ]

I suppose it is in the beholder's eyes, no?
