[Lo and behold, there's Ultra Magnus. He frowns, touching his helm lightly. Really, anyone who knows him well enough will note how he flinches ever so slightly.]

This is Ultra Magnus. I appear to be in the medbay. I would like to know the following answers.

First: Why am I here?

Second: What happened to me?

Third: How long was I out?

I would also like someone to update me on whatever I may have missed.

[There's a short pause as Prowl takes a moment to read the expression of the other bot in the room.]

[Expectedly, there's not much there, but he can pick up just a bit of fatique. Nothing strange, considering the circumstances.]

Have you been briefed on recent events?

Rung was murdered while I was unconscious. That seems to be the primary focus at the moment.

Yes. I have a preliminary report.

[There's a slight change in expression that indicates the proceedings were probably going smoothly.]

[The datapad is presented to Magnus for him to see.]

The perpetrator was less than subtle. A unique toxin and several other identifiers were found on Rung and in his office. It should only be a matter of time before they are identified and captured for interrogation. I sincerely doubt they acted on their own.

[Slowly, Ultra Magnus takes the datapad, letting his optics scan over it as Prowl speaks.

A toxin. A clear murder.]

Then someone arranged the killing.

[He immediately wants to accuse Tarn. He is well aware that he has an issue with Rung.]

Do we have a list of suspects?

There's nothing solid on whoever might be pulling the strings.

[Of course, there's that unspoken elephant in the room that he won't quite mention yet. Not without definitive proof.]

The killer itself was small. Small enough to fit inside his throat, and used what I suspect to be a toxin natural to their bodies.

Perceptor is still analyzing it to be certain. If my theory is correct, it would narrow the search down to to a few Cybertronians.

There are few who are that small. Fewer, I expect who specialize in any sort of poison.

When you find whoever did this, inform me immediately.

[He would love to have the opportunity to be the one to interrogate.]

[He may have a word to say on how the interrogation goes, but that's for future discussion.]

[A hand reaches out for the datapad again.]

What is your prognosis?

[Reluctantly, he hands over the datapad.]

I don't enjoy jumping to conclusions without evidence, but the only known individuals who have any issue with Rung would be either Frenzy or Tarn. At least, to my knowledge. Rung is not exactly one who makes enemies very easily.

...I meant your medical prognosis.

[Wow, strange.]

Prowl asking someone how they're doing?]

[He probably just wants to know what resources are at hand for the investigation.]

[Ah. That was... a little surprising.]

Improved. It was leftover nanocons from an old case. I assumed they were deactivated, since it was from sometime ago.

Good. I can assume they've been taken care of?

[And that's just about where Prowl's visible empathy ends.]

[He picks at the datapad a little bit, breaking eye contact.]
