[Rewind was able to deal with a lot of things lately. Snuff films? Whatever. A new Cybertron? Okay. No Chromedome for awhile? That's fine. PROWL? Slightly less happy but still doing okay. But no. It's Rung's death that is the kicker. And the worst part of it is, Rewind had it ingrained into his database. It didn't make it any easier to accept sometimes.

He was a tough little bot, though, who had seen his fair share of events. Experienced a few as well. So he's not going to outwardly show it. But he'll be huddled up in his room, in the dark, flickering with his camera, and using the wall as a projection screen.

Everything was Rung from their time on the Lost Light.

[Well, you certainly live up to your legacy, Blurr! Rewind opens up and looks up at the bot, tilting his head.]

Hey bud!

[He runs every morning and night to be sure he's always in good shape, sir o7 Blurr smiles at Rewind, a bit unsure. They don't know each other all that much yet but missing Rung is something they already have in common. It was quite the lost for Blurr too.]

Hi. Can I come in? I wouldn't really want to be a bother but I wanted to see the footage about Rung.

[The smaller bot opens the door slightly more, allowing for the car to walk in.]

C'mon in, I'll use the wall as a projection screen!

[Blurr nods and follows, still feeling intrusive. When he sits next to the other bot he's at a lost of words for a few seconds.]

Ah..How did you two meet?

[Rewind curls his arms around his knees, letting the camera start up and project on the opposite wall. He doesn't move his head, as that would take away from the actual VIEWING, but he still speaks.]

I actually learned about him first. If you try doing a basic search in my databank, you'd almost fry your processor. He's been everywhere. A constant in the background. Never an active participant, but always present.

It's amazing, really.

[Blurr rests his arms on his knees, watching the feed in silence. It hurts to see Rung because he not here anymore but it's helping a bit, in a weird way.]

We was always good at listening.

[Rung also seemed a bit lonely. It reminded Blurr of himself and that's what drew him close to the other bot at first.] How old was him, exactly?

That he was. Best psychotherapist you'd ever find.

[His fingers tap on his legs, though, in thought.]

Hm...I'd say he's pretty old. Old enough to know the entire war.

The only one I ever found too. But he did help me. [Blurr shift his weight, slightly uncomfortable.]

That's a lot of time. How come you have recordings from all those events? You are that old too?

Well, as an archivist, It's my job to record these. You see, I'm kind of a rare breed of Cybertronian. My alt mode doesn't...move.

I'm a data receptacle.

...You could say that. I'm from before we switched to the new calendar. Back when guys like me didn't have rights like most Cybertronians.

Oh. [Blurr blinks then smiles.] But that only means that you are more special. [He likes different, special people.]

I'm sorry to hear about that. It was just because of your alt mode? if that's true then that's really _{absurd. One on Percepttror's alt modes is a microscope and he's the head of the Autobot Ministry of Science.}

That's what I've always thought. Every bot's shape serves a purpose. It's why when we were given rights I didn't change mine. I liked my alt mode. Even if they still convince me to try and get one with wheels.

Not entirely. I was in a separate class because of it. A disposable class. My alt mode had a lot to do with it though.

But I'm assuming your Perceptor could change into something else. That makes him out of the equation, if we're going by my world's rules.

Indeed. It's all just about finding which one, I agree. I don't think i could change my alt mode either. I like speed way too much, it's what I was made for. I'm faster in two wheels but still.

[And with that new information added to the conversation Blurr's smile fades. Even if rewind is not looking at him it's probalby clear in his tone of voice that he's upset by the news.]Oh...that's...awful.

Yes, he could.

I figured. Perceptors are pretty much known to be geniuses. I figure they could work their way around that.

[He's not terribly disappointed. It was a long time ago, and he overcame it. It's just a sensitive issue.]

Besides, it's what matters now.

Things were a bit different in my world, the alt mode didn't matter all that much. I like my alt mode but it's not what made me really useful in the Elite Guard. I'm actually faster if I run in two wheels.

Yes I agree. [Blurr can only imagine. He doesn't want to offend Rewind by accident in any way. Socially awkward bot here, Rewind, so he's going to change the subject.]

... We will catch who did this to Rung, you have my word.

[He can tell, but he's glad to have that over offensive NOT NAMING ANY NAMES PROWL so he puts a small hand to Blurr's, patting it to comfort him.]

I'm counting on you guys. ...And if you go after someone, I want in.

[Blur's optic gets brighter and he smiles softly.]

We have some important evidence, we just need to confirm it properly. You want in, really?

I might not have weapons or anything, but that doesn't mean I won't join in on the action.

[That gets Blurr smiling more than before.]

That's the spirit. You will have to pass a psychological evaluation and physical test but I'm sure you won't have any problems with those.
