[Ambulon is holding up a cat. A very small kitty. You may recognize the cat, actually.]

I've... recently come into possession of Whirl's cat. Splat, I think is its name. It appears a little malnourished.

[He looks at the cat. The cat looks at him. It is a tense two seconds.]

I used the wikireader to research these animals, and it... It was. Interesting. To say the least. But I have a good idea on what I need to... feed it. Does anyone have any cat food? Or, you know, general tips on how to-- [Splat coughs up a hairball on his hand] ... take care of cats.

Bringing catnip too~ And a litter box, toys, things like that.

Claws crossed. But he was pretty self-sufficient when I got him. Sure he was able to take care of himself if no one could. [This just reminds him that he wishes he had news from Sacrosanct. He'd been dragged from the station at a weird time.]

Lucky for both of us I remember, huh? [Of course he had been a cat so he kind of knows from experience.]

They're extremely popular pets, yeah. Everyone likes furry things, apparently.

They aren't, in some respects. They c'n be a bit silly, on occasion, but so can the rest of us.

... Yes they do that. Hence the litter box. It keeps them from doing that. Unless they're marking their territory.

Pouncing on paper bags, trying to catch their own tails, running up a wall after a laser pointer. Mine liked to bat at my wings and my claws.

Of course, some of it is chewing on things they shouldn't - including you - bouncing on your head until you feed them, territory marking. It all depends.

The energy is in short bursts; they spend much of their time sleeping or grooming themselves. Though the young ones tend to have more energy. Water and cat food is pretty much all they need, but a can of tuna fish is a good treat f'r them.

Well, thank goodness f'r small favors, right? If he tries chewin' on anything else you don't want him to, try putting tin foil on it. I don't think they like the feel of it.

A bit. It'll probably take a bit to get used to, but they have something like routines y'can spot eventually.

It wouldn't have all the little tricks; it's... sort of a dictionary in that regard. Basics but not specifics.
