Anyone else have their Glyph change colors?

Well, not change, exactly, but . . .

[The jet shifts to make sure his shoulder is visible to the camera.  His Glyph is (still) a vivid magenta, but now it's outlined in black.]

The Glyph is Alpha Trion's, I know that, but what does the black mean?  If anything...

What's been giong on? Anything I should know about? I can't say I'm all too keen to leave my faith in them, myself.

Some of them aren't bad. Alpha Trion has earned my respect. And not because he's my . . . patron, I suppose they'd be considered. Solus seemed decent enough the one time I spoke with her. Nexus Prime was pretty laid back and personable. [Hmmm, who else has he met?] Vector Prime was nice enough too. Approachable.

Watch out for Megatronus. Really, watch out for any Megatron who comes here. Except one – he's a primarily white mech from a negative polarity universe, which means he's pretty much the opposite of any other Megatron you'll meet. Calm, reasonable, honorable, considers his mechs before himself . . . all the things a good leader should do.

Megatronus is . . . arrogant. Unpredictable. Contrary. He says he has no use for us "refugees" and we should stay out of his and the others' way, but then one of "his" – someone bearing his Glyph – commits a crime, and he interferes with our ability to govern ourselves by protecting the fragger and eventually imposing a so-called "punishment" of his own. Which, in a sense, it was, but nowhere near equal to the crime and it put back into harm's way the one he'd committed the crime against to begin with. [Him, a little sore? Just really worried – has he mentioned enough times how protective of Four he's grown over the past few months? He HUFFS in an attempt to let it go, only to come up with the other thing that pits his armor.] Fragger went on some kind of rampage some weeks ago and destroyed the police precinct building we'd built – with his permission, originally – in his domain. We still have others, but that's not the point.

A government in its infancy, and the higher-ups are already rigging it in their favor. Fantastic news.

Can't say I have much faith in this "law committee" they're putting together if the rules they set in place turn out to be optional. It's useless without consistency or precedence.

Particularly under the watchful gaze of the Firstforged, if even a few of them are that unstable.

It's better than the alternatives, which are completely lawlessness and every mech for himself.  Or an outright dictatorship.  [And he's already lived under one of those long enough, thanks.]

When I first arrived months ago, before and around that time, there were a series of attacks by one or two powerful individuals.  The First-Forgeds' response, to my knowledge, was basically that they couldn't be bothered with our squabbles and we were to deal with things ourselves.  Those individuals were dealt with . . . if I remember right, they were killed and at least some of the First-forged took exception to that.  [He shrugs.]  Either way, they were dealt with, and that was the beginnings of trying to put something into place to head off or deal with future issues.  The police force and the law committee are the results of that.

If every last one of the First-Forged agree with what we're doing, great.  If one or more of them don't like it . . . what can we do?  We either cut our struts and go back to every mech for himself, or we do the best we can to work with – or around – things as necessary.  I don't wholly like it either, but… [another shrug]

"Every mech -- or man -- for himself" rarely lasts long. People form alliances, make deals, set up their own rules out of habit or necessity. If the Firstforged weren't involved, we'd find out own system of government, and have our own set of questionable officials and practices to answer two besides the ones we have now.
