[So he'd made it. He'd made it, he was alive, and he was still here. He could see the distant temples from the mountain he stood on, some ancient and run-down building in ruins behind him. Despite the dilapidation, there is a very new 'STARSCREAM FOR OVERSEER' poster tacked onto the wall within his view...the perfect place for a high-flying, far-ranging jet to test out non-permanent adhesives without anyone noticing.]

So.

[He begins by reaching out, aiming, and completely blasting the wall and accompanying poster.]

Yeah, this is definitely better than... not. And at least they don't hurt or tingle or anything.

I, uh. Glad to have you back, sir.

[They hadn't really talked much, but it's not often Megatron gives a Vehicon the time of day... let alone asking questions of them. That this one did was something.]

I don't trust them, regardless.

But at least now I can tell that to the faces of our captors. [He smirks.] Black means Megatronus, does it not?

[It's going to make his homecoming very interesting.]

Yeah, black is Megatronus's. If you decide to stay in his temple, we'll be in the same one. [Even though Fracas's Glyph is clearly not Megatronus at all.]

Well, we may have been... attacked by centipedes and then turned into things we weren't and people have gone missing and there's kind of. Ghosts, but.

What I mean to say is, you were... not terrible to me. When I was used to bots being terrible to me. Which I appreciated. And is a trend I hope we can keep up.

Decepticons that cannot learn to stick together won't last against Autobots that do. [He laughs, reaching out to touch the scorched wall where his cannon pierced the rubble.]

I'm not callous with my resources. That is all. I find that things have value when you least expect them to.

[Things that might include vehicons.]

I am. I've gotten better. Even managed to take out one of those centipedes on my own.

[He's hardly made a secret of his training, really, so it doesn't really surprise him that Megatron knew. Besides, he was always trailing after Shockwave to the arena when he could.]

I don't think I even want to know what could possibly be stranger.

[He pauses for a moment, dipping his head shyly.]

... You do? Well, that's a... really refreshing viewpoint, sir. Especially from you - a version of you, I mean. The only people I've met that think that have been bots here from other places.

[At least, until he got to talking with them. Now even some of the bots from back home are recognizing him as more than just a faceless minion.]

[He smirks.] Then you'll do your faction proud.

[It was never a good idea to have weak Decepticons. There were exceptions of course--mechs who lacked physical strength but made up for it in other fields--but he still preferred they at least know how to fight.]

Oh? You mean Autobots?

Then did your Megatron not start out championing the rights of the underclass?

[Fracas dips his head almost bashfully. Even if it's true - which he hopes it is - it's still a surprise to hear. Especially considering how Vehicons were usually implemented back home.]

Oh, no! He did. He was a gladiator in Kaon. But the war... changed him, I guess. Besides...

Vehicons have always been even more underclass than the workers and gladiators. Everyone figured we were little better than drones and cannon fodder.

[He reaches up, curious if he has any remnants of his gladiator paint left...but whatever scars have remained, the paint is not one of them.]

[Fracas can only hope that's all this Megatron and his have in common. While he couldn't complain about his - no really, it's against the rules - he wants to see how another one is.]

Well, I uh. I hope you'd prefer me alive, sir. Vehicon corpses are... pretty useless.

I was, until we broke free and began to burn the very system that condemned us to be there.

[He laughs.] And then I was taken away, and now I am here.

There will be no Vehicon corpses.

That sounds about right. Though I really hope you don't decide Dark Energon is a good idea... that stuff is really nasty.

[He pauses and shrugs.] Here isn't so bad. Mostly, anyway.

I hope you can keep that promise.

Dark Energon?

[He only remembered it vaguely, from something Breakdown had mentioned once.]

Given that there's only one of you, it would be hard for there to be multiple corpses.

Besides, you have a name. You are not 'just' a Vehicon.

Yeah. It's purple. Reanimated the dead, but as crazy... undead things. Made the ship crazy, too, it started zapping everyone with stasis beams.

[Including him, and it was terrible.]

You never know. Someone could find a way. Somehow.

[He pauses, dipping his head.] You say that now when there is only one Vehicon. Get a couple more and even you might be confused.

That seems the opposite of useful.

[Really, why did such things even exist?]

Well, my Megatron could... control it, somehow, so he could direct the... zombies.

[Of course it kind of made him crazy... er.]

And when he wasn't specifically directing the zombies, what did they do?

[He can see where that is heading.]

If there are only two of them, I don't see why not. Of course, we could get you a new paint job instead.

[He smirks.]

Attacked anything close to them. Decepticon, Autobot, whatever. At least that's what I heard.

[Yeah, it's not very helpful.]

... People keep mentioning that to me. I don't really know how I'd look. With different paint.

[Though that smirk makes him a little nervous.]

[He's quiet for a bit, weighing that.]

It sounds as if I shall be avoiding dark energon for the time being.

[And probably forever---at least....in terms of HIM using it. Using it as a weapon might be possible, however.]

You could try a change of alt mode instead.

It's. Better that you do. I haven't seen or heard of it ever actually being helpful.

[Throwing it at someone else, though. Someone far, far away. Like in another universe...]

I. Well, maybe. But I'm not big enough to be a tank and I've... never actually flown before. I've always had wheels.

Allow me to offer some advice, then.

Is annoying.

Maybe if your enemy's base was in a completely different dimension. Never know when it'll do something you don't expect and... bite you in the aft.

[Like fully integrate into your leader and make him crazier than he used to be.]
