[Camera's on Kevin, scrawny and lanky eleven year old boy, and behind him is the backdrop of the Wastelands. He talks into the communicator as he walks toward the Haven, his face caught between anger and shell shock. He's having trouble hiding how unnerved he is right now.]

What happened? What day is it?

...Anyway, nobody better have touched my stuff.

[Kevin grits his teeth and looks away. He's already said this a million times, but that doesn't make it any less terrifying.]

I don't remember. I just woke up out here and everyone's different and my memories are jacked up and now I gotta deal with weirdos like you calling me crazy for it!

Well, you shouldn't act like we don't know how long we've been here, because I'm not crazy- or weird, you jerk!

[She huffs and crosses her arms over her chest.]

If you're not lying- [And she certainly sounds doubtful about that.] -maybe you went to the badlands or died, and it scrabbled your stupid head.

[She huffs, clearly intending to continue, before letting out a low shriek and shaking her fists at the camera.]

-My pigtails aren't goofy! Your face is goofy!

Oh yeah, because you're soooo awesome at it! Picking on a girl's pigtails is totally the best insult around!

[Except, of course...she tugs a pigtail into a protective grip in each hand, suddenly self-conscious.

[She squeaks in objection, flinching before going silent for a long, awkward moment.

[She's totally not sniffling or anything; getting angry at least holds the tears at bay. For the moment.]

[...she's crying. Or going to. Suddenly, this was a whole lot less fun. He was expecting to get her riled, not get her crying. He turns away, not sure what to say. His voice softens just a little.]

[She totally is tearing up, but she'll deny it forever. She still manages to hold back sobs long enough to give him a watery glare...before cutting the feed.]
