video; locked from Prime!Starscream

[When the video comes on, Fracas is shifting on his feet, only pausing to rub the back of his neck and let out a reedy laugh. He coughs when he finally gets control of himself, then claps his hands together and mutters to himself before speaking up.]

S-so, uhm. I... I guess everyone's noticed the new Starscream. Well, he's the Starscream from my world. More the point, I.

I need help.

He can't know there's a Vehicon here. That I'm here. I will end up dead again and I-I don't... I don't want to die again. There. There has to be some way to keep me completely off his radar, right?

... Right?!

[Fracas's voice cracks for a moment without him even realizing it.]

S-something. Anything. I just. I can't. I r-really can't.

Please?

[He could not possibly look any more desperate and pathetic, even if he had a lip wibble.]

You are quite a survivor, it must have been tough many times for you.

Lord is certainly a title I'm not fond of being called, As a leader I prefer to have those that choose to follow me do so, not those who feel obligated to do so.

It takes more than physical safety to survive a war, at least in my opinion.

Leaving, well I suppose it depends on what sort of leaving you are talking about. If you have chosen to change sides I won't stop anyone, it is their right and freedom, though I would talk with them to see what would cause such a change, I would also probably change all security measures that particular mech had access to.

Of course, in my world it is unlikely that many, if anyone, would become Autobot after being Decepticons, at best the Autobots would sent them into the smelting pits alive... I don't want to consider a worst case outcome. There was one mech, but he... had a considerable strength and reputation that he carried with him over to the Autobots, as well as proving his love of violence and killing, from what I heard.

Regardless, if someone simply wanted to leave to be unaffiliated with the war I would give them what supplies could be spared and let them leave. Again my world is a bit different and there really isn't any where left that is livable for long periods of time aside from Polihex where the Decepticons and I have our home, and Iacon where the Autobots make their base.

I do not know what you may know of my world, but allow me to explain something. In my world we do not have sparks, we have embers, the charge of our embers is the exact opposite of your sparks. It seems this influenced people in very deep ways. Unlike most worlds where Megatron was a revolutionary and tried to create a better world, from what I understand, it was Optimus Prime in mine. Only Optimus would burn alive those who refused to follow him, his banner was Might makes Right, and his call was to join him or die.

I originally sought to avoid the war, thinking a bit naively that I could, but eventually it came to me, to Polyhex where I taught. I took up the fight and soon became someone others followed under. From the first day I took up a weapon I have fought with the belief that all sentient beings have a right to freedom to chose their own lives.

To me holding someone in my ranks, or even eliminating them to avoid them leaving, is not a thing I could ever condone. I want freedom for my people, and I recognize that I need more than just myself to achieve it, but I would rather a hand full of dedicated fighters by my side than legions of forced troops at my back.

War has a significant toll on people, I can not say what changed the Megatron from your world, but there are many things that we can't always understand.

I am sorry to hear that the situation is so hard for you and that the other Vehicons, I do not see the intelligence of forcing anyone, by threat or force, to fight for you.

I can understand the confusion. Cliffjumper had a hard time at first in our world. I would be happy to spend some time with you, if you feel that would help you become used to this.

I don't doubt you are still very useful, but use should not mean you are demeaned to only what use you have. No one, in my opinion, should be thrown into battle, no matter who they are.

[He gives Fracas a bright smile.]

Of course I would, I think getting to know people is an important thing to do.
