[Yep. Lyra's been hanging out in the junk pile. And by hanging out, when she tells people that, she really means camping out there because the temple reminds her too much of being with Mrs. Coulter.

So, yeah, it's really just not comfortable being there.

She's got herself a pretty nice little place established, though it's not really that great for a kid and her daemon, but she's stubborn.

Right now though..]

It ain't real easy to find food people can eat around here. So, um, anyone know where I can get some stuff to bring back to camp?

[Arms crossed, she acts all cool and collected as she asks but she's really hungry at this point.

So much so that it's showing in Pan who's curled up in her arms as a rabbit looking quite down trodden.]

Should be stuff at the Rec Center. Doc's handling the kitchen and handing stuff out left and right, last I checked.

We keep the organic food we find stored in the Pantry, is part of the Rec Center. Those are the coordinates. [/There's an attached file with his comm link.]

You can have as much food as you want, whiting reason of course, and there's also a kitchen _{small enough for humans to use} in case you want to cook something.

[Lyra hums thoughtfully as she eyes him, considering her options before glancing down at Pan. The rabbit shifts, ears lifting a bit before both of them look at the screen again.]

Ain't good at cooking. Never been taught how.

It doesn't look like any of the Firstforged buildings. Shouldn't be too tough.

I know how to cook a _{few things but nothing you would be able to eat. I'm sure we have food for you that}doesn't need to be cooked. Microwaving the food is not so hard, you could try that?

[The rabbit suddenly morphs forms, turning into a cat and stretching a bit in Lyra's arms, ears flicking as he peers at the screen.]

I can change forms right now. And I don't have to eat.

[Ah, he remembers you from when he was a griffon.]

Lyra, right? I see others have mentioned the Pantry. Where in the Junkpile are you? I can take you there if it's not far.

[Since he's currently in the Junkpile too, just for whatever he might find. He has nothing better to do.]

Eh . . . this is Thundercracker, by the way. Last time we met, I was a . . . bird-lion . . . thing. Griffon, I think they said.

[She might remember the voice. And the general color scheme.]

[It takes her a moment but she does remember the other, especially because of his voice.

Boy is it weird to see what he actually looks like.]

[She snags her comm unit and turns it to show him the area around her before turning it back towards herself.]

I'm there. And..if you're sure. Or wotever...I don't want to be a bother.

[The Junkpile itself is little to no help, as its surface appearance changes pretty much daily. But there are enough markers in the background for him to guestimate a triangulation. He'll also use the signal of her comm like a homing beacon. Worst comes to worst, he'll get into the area and she'll spot him. He nods.]

I know roughly where you are. And no bother. I'm in the area. I'll be there shortly. Leave your comm on - I'll track the signal.

Right, yeah. It'll be on.

[She fiddles with it a bit before huffing some, glancing away.]

How're you trapped in the organic... house... thing?

All the others go in there and get fed.

[Cue frustrated sound here.]

My..mother kept me like a--like a pet or something before I realize she was evil! She had this big nice house and I was like a prisoner.

I ain't a fan of feeling like that so I don't want to stay in a coop like that!

There's nobody here trying to keep you anywhere. We're just sayin' there's supplies and scrap like that for organics in the... hub thing they made.

[He can't help a faint smirk - that wasn't easy, was it? He can kind of understand, though.]

[And true to his words, about ten minutes later, she'll hear the approach of . . . something large. Huge. Twenty-feet huge. He'll look around, finally locating the source of the signal as his optics fall upon the girl. He steps closer and kneels down, nodding in greeting.]

Lyra. Heh, find a friend? [He's referring to the creature on her shoulder who apparently has just managed to be out of camera shot before.]

I know that!

It's just--it reminds me of it and I hate it because of what she tried to do to me..that's all.
