[The sound of soft snoring is heard before the feed flickers on, exposing the two mechs sleeping peacefully together. Chromedome is flat on his back on their berth, and Rewind is sprawled out on his chest with Chromedome’s arm wrapped protectively around him. For several minutes, nothing really happens. It’s just two partners sleeping together. Chromedome stirs suddenly, his head suddenly twitching from side to side and his grip on Rewind tightening. He mutters something about the needles and sighs.

The tight grip on Rewind causes the smaller bot to awaken, his attention immediately turning towards his partner. Bad dreams from Chromedome were nothing new--it’s just each time they changed on what they were about. This one, however, was obvious. Giving a little sigh himself, the smaller bot reaches a hand up, running it along the side of Chromedome’s helm in an attempt to calm him.]

Hey...it’s okay...

[There was no point in Rewind trying to sleep anymore. Whenever these happened, he took up ‘guard duty’, making sure the larger bot stayed peaceful through the night. Thankfully, his presence always helped.

After a few more seconds of restlessness, Chromedome finally relaxes and falls silent again. There's something about the smaller bot that always calms him down, even when he's not awake.]

[Rewind heaves a sigh, looking at him.]

The injecting's a touchy subject with us. He promises me he won't do it anymore. That he's given up on it.

[A small shake of his head.]

He always breaks it. It's going to kill him, I know it. But nothing I do or say will stop him.

Unfortunately, that is his choice to make, as terrible of a choice as it is. It...probably doesn't help that a certain individual is here that does nothing to stop him, either.

[Yeah, Rung's oh so fond of Prowl, can you tell?]

I fear that it's going to take something truly horrible for him to actually stop and that's not something I want to see happen and I doubt you do either.

The best advice I can offer is to try talking to him about it; don't let him change the subject or avoid it.

[Chromedome stirs from his sleep long enough to hear Rung talk. It only takes a moment for him to become completely alert and figure out what's going on. For a moment, he's angry at Rewind for this, but he brushes it aside and instead reaches up and closes his hand over the communicator.]

I think we're done here you two.

[Turn it off Rewind.]

I'm fine, I don't need either of you worrying, okay?

Chromedome!

[His smaller hand grabs onto the mnemosurgeon's, looking up at him.]

If we don't worry about you, who WILL?

[Rung winces a bit when Chromedome reaches for and covers the comm unit, prepared to end it there to satisfy the other's request.

But then Rewind speaks up and..well..]

..We just want what's best for you, Chromedome. That's all.

I don't...

[He groans and sits up, dumping the flashdrive onto his lap.]

They're just nightmares, nothing to be worried about. Thank you for your time Rung, but I don't need it right now.

...You know how to get ahold of me if you change your mind, Chromedome.

[His gaze shifts to Rewind and he smiles softly.]

If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask.

[And with that, he cuts the feed.]
