[The video feed flickers on to the sight of a young boy seemingly passed out as his desk. Don't worry guys, he's still alive. As proof of this, he raises his head and blearily stares down at the data pad he has in front of him. A hand reaches out and roughly brushes the coffee mug and drags it closer to him. He makes the mistake of drinking some before making a face and spitting it back into the mug. Yuck, cold stale coffee is nasty.
Cody doesn't look too good. Actually, he looks like a kid who has been up for three days straight with nothing to sustain him but coffee and granola bars. Why would he do this and what could possibly be so important that he'd do this to himself? Well, part of it is because Prowl is a very curt and demanding boss. The other part is because Cody actually wants to impress him a little. Four days of constant and dedicated paperwork would do it right?
Ugh, he feels terrible. But luckily for him he's almost done.]
Just a little more.
[He mutters to himself before tiredly getting back to work.
About twenty seconds later his head droops again and hits the desk with a thud. No, no naps yet. C'mon Cody, keep going...]

Just a little more.

[action]
[He is oh so very stern on this.]
[When Prowl is insisting on you taking a break, you know you've crossed a line.]
[action]
On an ordinary day Cody would have backed down a while ago, but at the moment he's too tired to care. He WILL finish whatever he's doing, and then he'll go pass out somewhere from exhaustion and hunger. That's his plan and he'll stick with it.]
[action]
[He wanted to be stubborn? Well he's just going to have to correct that, won't he?]
You weren't put here to defy orders. Now go.
Now.
[action]
I don't remember seeing you leaving for your home.
[HE'S BEEN HERE A WHILE.]
[action]
[A long time, Cody.]
[A long ass time.]
[He's just used to the horrible sleep schedule at this point.]
[action]
[Cody crosses his arms and leans away from the desk Prowl has his hand on.]
Okay, I'll make you a deal. If you take a nap I will too.
[Either that or let him finish what he was working on. Cody sleeps either way.]
[action]
[Yes. That's it. No argument or anything. He almost seemed mildly amused at the notion.]
[Truth to be told, he'll wait for Cody to fall asleep before continuing his own work. No one needed to be the wiser.]
[action]
Do you really mean it?
[Don't lie to him Prowl.]
[action]
[He'll just conveniently wake up a little earlier than expected.]
[That's all.]
Now head to your quarters.
[action]
I'll just...
Do that.
[Cody yawns and wavers some more before finally leaning over his desk and placing his head... directly on one of Prowl's fingers. He dimly acknowledges this before his eyes close. Just like that, he's out like a light.
Sweet dreams Prowl.]
[action]
[~UGH~]
[Well. Prowl's not going to stand there and wait for Cody to get his eight hours. After a few minutes, his other hand reaches around cups itself next to the boy. Using the finger that became an impromptu pillow, Prowl gently nudges him into the cupped hand.]
[Now he can put you somewhere proper. Until it's time to wake up in an hour or so.]
[action]
Dad...
[He mutters before rolling onto his side and falling back to sleep.]
[action]
[He'd be deposited on an empty space of his own desk. Not exactly a bed, but a flat surface for him to lay down on.]
[His own work was quiet enough. He'd wake Cody up in an hour as planned.]
