[The camera shows Wing's quarters, a breeze lightly rustling a curtain behind the two mechs. Drift's standing, almost pacing, as though he's been talked into this and is still not very comfortable.]

[He hesitates, trying to gather the right words. It's so much easier when he's writing it for someone else.]

A lot--more mechs than we even know--died here, or went missing. Everyone deserves to be remembered, whether we have their bodies or not. They were all like us, and we, any of us, could disappear or....worse, ourselves.

[Ghosts, zombies, the unknown fate of the badlands: so many options, all of them terrible. Wing doesn’t like any of those notions, but this idea is heartening. He rises from his seat near the window.]

If there’s one thing recent events have taught us, it’s that memories have a power of their own. We need a way, not just to mourn, but to remember those no longer with us, both past and future. To honor them. And maybe keep hope alive for the lost.

We were thinking of a place, not like a cemetery, but some place that recalls them as they were. This is for all of us, not just Cybertronians, so we were kind of wondering. How do you celebrate the memories of those you've lost in your worlds?

A memorial. Might be nice for folks.

[Nearly everyone he'd lost was back home or in Axiom, except for one or two. Even so, Barricade's never been sure how to honor any of them besides Frenzy. He's realizing he won't be able to keep up that memorial here. The required structure is missing. Not that he'll admit to it.]

There wasn't a time or place for anything physical back home. Not really. Mostly we just kept their memories, or kept any traditions they might've had with you. Humans do a lot of flower-planting and candle-lighting. Leaving pictures of those they've lost. It might be easier to cultivate crystals here, though, since we're low on cameras and artists.

[And candles. And gardening space...]

I do. Folks could use a place t'go to remember their friends.

[Instead of taking off alone into the Wastelands like Barricade had that one time. That was a terrible idea in hindsight.]

Yeah. Gotta have somewhere to remember the good stuff, even if there's bad there too.

No. Talkin t' gravemarkers is... a little strange. Bit morbid. It'd be better to have somewhere that. Isn't that. Isn't just their deaths.

Homesick is kind of a given, really. This planet isn't really a home t'any of us. Think folks could use a happy place, though. Or somewhere to reflect on those they knew here.

[Barricade smiles slightly.]

That seems like a Prime thing t'say. Suppose there is some truth in that, though. Never really seen it that way, myself, but I think I understand what you're getting at.

Mm. It's at least something I'd imagine a Prime saying.

[A different kind of Prime. Not one like any of those that bore the name back home. He quickly banishes the thought; even contemplating his own Primes makes him angry.]

It is. 'S why those if us left have to remember them. [He taps his head with a claw.] That's what's in this processor of mine. All of the lost. But they deserve more than bein' stuck in one fella's head.

Picking a Prime. Wouldn't that be novel?

[It seems a little crazy to him, but... maybe it could happen.]

It is. But no one else can or will, and I'm a tough old thing.

There are. Loads of 'em.

[That would be awkward. Especially if Wing walked in. Barricade wouldn't really know what to do with that. He's been hugged before, admittedly, but not over something like that. Comforting... isn't a thing that happens to him often.]

It does seem that way, doesn't it? All the best ones're gone and the rest of us... are left.

[Blackout. Frenzy and Bonecrusher. Alex Mercer.

Convoy.

His one real consolation is Megatron returning, which he's more than grateful for. And Dirge, strangely enough.]

... I'd like that. Give us both a chance to get them out into the air.

[Less weird than hugging. Though hugging might happen anyway.]

It's a bit grim anyway. Don't you think?

[Barricade hums lightly.] It is. And someone's gotta be around to do it, and it might as well be us.

Ah yeah. Ghosts. [That does get a slight grin and a chuckle out of him, in spite of their... recent encounters.] Sounds like a plan t'me.

Alive for a reason. Yeah. We are. 'S better to not spend life mopin' anyway. Lotta stuff t'get done, after all.

If you let me buy the second.
