On Earth... today would be Father's day.
[Cody wants to say more on that, but he can't find the words. It's been a while since he last saw his dad, to say he misses him is an understatement.]
I wish... I've never missed a Father's day before. I hope Kade, Graham, and Dani are making it special for him.

[He sort of remembers hearing about that once.
Whatever the case, he can tell that the other is upset and he wants to do something. He hates seeing kids sad.]
...Hey, I know it probably won't help much but...want to maybe go for a drive or something?
[Cody doesn't want to seem down all the time, but it's hard not to be when each month passes without his friends and family around. He enjoys being here, he really does, but he wants to go home to Griffin Rock. Despite how he feels, he somehow manages a small smile at Smokescreen's offer.]
I'd like that.
Re: [Video]
The rookie returns the smile, doorwings twitching a bit.]
Great! I'll come pick you up alright?
Thank you Smokescreen, I really appreciate it.
...guess it's too late for my father, huh?
You got siblings too, huh?
I'm going to join that team someday.

It's not the same, but, maybe if you keep him in your heart he'll still know you are thinking of him somehow, because he must be thinking fondly of you as well.

I hope next Father's Day we'll all be able to celebrate it together.

Especially if you let your friends help you ease the sorrow and be there with you when you're sad.

Thank you for saying that.

[So don't miss this "father" guy.]

I suppose that is a good thing if you think about it like that.

Or you could brood. Brooding helps. Sometimes.

[After all, he doesn't know what it's like to have parents.]
How often have you seen snow back on Earth?
Yeah, Griffin Rock snows during the winter.
[...He doesn't really understand where you're going with this Prowl.]
[He's attempting to do a thing.]
I can take you to the northern mountains.
[Oops suddenly he's excited.]
You'd really take me there?
[You like him don't you Prowl.]
[And something might have stirred somewhere in his bitter, angry spark.]
I can retrieve you once you're prepared.
[He drops his communicator and starts rummaging around his work area.]
Ah, found it!

[It isn't long before the Autobot appears in person.]
[Hey, they work in the same building, right?]
Are you ready?
[action]
I'm ready!

Um, so I guess robots don't have fathers? Or anything similar?
Re: [Video]
I have a template. But he doesn't want to have anything to do with me.

We have one for Mothers too actually.

I feel ya, kid. I miss my dad, too. [half-smile] But I'm sure we'll see them again some day.
[He's not sure, but... Well, just for today, let's be optimistic.]
[He smiles faintly at his own joke.]
What was your dad like?
What about yours, kid?
